Chapter 71: The Question of Overtime

Mikołaj felt a stronger heartbeat again touching the door handle of his office. Some activities needed courage in life, such as gambling, parachuting or agreeing to fulfill Stefan Szwedas' three wishes, but entering your own office should not be one of them.

Skrzynecki should have entered his office as if he had entered his own home, as a month ago he spent more of a day here than at home. This anxiety he is feeling right now should not be happening at all.

And yet there was and brought him physical discomfort.

Mikołaj was not afraid of his subordinates, he was not afraid of their contemptuous gaze or bad words, because he knew that this would not happen to him. He wasn't afraid of anything specific, yet he felt something unpleasant at the thought of going inside.

But, after finding a new job, won't he feel the same way when entering a foreign office to work with complete strangers?
