Chapter 79: Chapter 79

The next day.

Kiyotaka was in the library when Chabashira called out to him.

She led him to a room.

"Visitor room?" Kiyotaka asked.

"There's someone here to see you."

She led him into the room. "I brought your son."

Then she turned and left.

"So you've arrived, Kiyotaka." Ayanokoji (Kiyotaka's father) said as he took a seat.

Kiyotaka didn't respond.

"You should have a seat."

"I don't plan to chat for long." Kiyotaka replied.

"Someone is dead, because of you."

"Did you think that would upset me?"

He ignored Kiyotaka. "Do you remember your butler? The one who helped you get into this school. Of course I had to fire him."

"So?"

"Last month he committed suicide. I wouldn't be surprised if his son was out on the streets now. This is a causation of your actions by enrolling in this school."

"I see."

"You don't seem very concerned about your guardian being dead."

Kiyotaka stayed silent.

"Kiyotaka, why did you enroll in this school."

"I wanted to learn more about the world outside of that room, and I have already found many answers."

"You could search forever and never find a better life than the one I set out for you. I have given you a perfect education."

"That's a false statement now."

Ayanokoji looked up. "What do you mean by that?"

"I was defeated. By another student in this school."

Ayanokoji adjusted his seating position. "That's impossible."

"I thought the same way." Kiyotaka replied simply.

"Then, who is this mysterious student?"

"That's none of your business."

Ayanokoji pulled out his phone.

Meanwhile, in the classroom.

"Syl, come with me." Chabashira said suddenly.

"Eh? Am I in trouble?" Syl asked.

Chabashira ignored him and led him down the halls.

She showed up to a room and opened the door.

Syl peek his head inside the wrong way, like Chopper.

His eyes widened.

Then he smiled and jumped on Kiyotaka's back. "Kiyopon~! What's up? Who's this geezer?"

Kiyotaka didn't answer Syl.

Ayanokoji narrowed his eyes. "What's your name?"

Syl smiled and went to shake his hand. "What's good old man? I'm Syl!"

Ayanokoji didn't even attempt to shake Syl's hand back. "... Syl?"

Syl smiled and nodded as he brought his hand back.

Syl walked back over to the other side of the room and dragged Kiyotaka down to sit next to him on the couch. "Stop being so stiff all the time."

Ayanokoji glared at Kiyotaka. "Are you really trying to make me believe that you lost to this?"

Kiyotaka shrugged. "It's the truth."

Syl whispered to Kiyotaka. "You know this guy?"

"He's my biological father."

"Bio-dad? Who cares about that? I never even met mine." Syl said as he put an arm around Kiyotaka and crossed his legs with his feet on the coffee table.

"You're quite a rude child." Ayanokoji said.

Syl smiled. "You're quite a bad father. I think it evens out."

Kiyotaka sighed. "You shouldn't argue with him. You'll never win."

Ayanokoji nodded. "See? Even your classmate is telling you to be obedient."

"I was talking to you. It's useless to argue with Syl." Kiyotaka corrected his father.

Syl looked out the window and jumped out of his seat. "Is that a butterfly?"

He walked over to the window and started looking at the bug on the other side.

"See?" Kiyotaka said.

Syl turned when he heard a voice. "What were we talking about again? Oh right! This guy was a bad father!"

Ayanokoji frowned slightly. "He's very annoying."

"Really? I think that his liveliness has a unique charm to it. It tends to bring people together and make it easy for him to make friends." Kiyotaka replied.

Ayanokoji didn't even bother responding. He pulled out a piece of paper and a pen. "Leave this school. That is an order."

Syl wiped a fake tear as he sat back down next to Kiyotaka. "What fatherly love!"

The two Ayanokoji's ignored him.

"I'm not going to leave yet." Kiyotaka stated.

"That was an order." Ayanokoji replied.

"Your orders don't apply to me outside of the white room."

Syl chuckled. "Ooh~ Mysterious name~ I wonder what shenagiangs go on there?"

Ayanokoji looked at Kiyotaka. "This is your last chance."

"Hey, hey~ Old man! That sounds awfully threatening. Are you sure it's a good idea to threaten my friend here in front of me?"

Ayanokoji ignored him.

Syl let a wave of haki burst out from him as his eyes glowed.

"I asked you a question, answer."

Ayanokoji was taken aback by the pressure he felt from this little kid in front of him.

"What happened to you?" He asked.

Syl's haki burst forth, creating a more intense pressure. The pen on the table started rattling and the papers flew into the air.

"That didn't sound like an answer, you senile fuck." Syl said irritably.

Kiyotaka lightly nudged Syl. "It's fine."

Syl reeled in his haki and smiled innocently. "You should be careful, old man. Karma's a bitch."

Ayanokoji didn't respond as a cold drop of sweat fell down his neck.

He cleared his throat. "Then, you won't listen to me?" He asked Kiyotaka.

"I'm going to stay in this school."

Suddenly a knock was heard on the door.

"Excuse me." Someone said as they walked in.

"Ayanokoji sensei. It's good to see you."

"Sakayanagi, I'm here to take my son home."

"I see, unfortunately my school has a strict policy about our students' independence. Students can only leave if they themselves wish too." He said with a smile on his face.

"He wasn't even properly admitted. I know about your test, the exams and other things aren't looked at in the slightest. You only accept students with a recommendation. Nobody recommended either of these two students, did they?" Ayanokoji replied.

"So passive aggressive! Just get to the point!" Syl mumbled.

Kiyotaka nodded in agreement.

Sakayanagi replied to Ayanokoji. "Quite perceptive of you. I was the one who admit these students myself."

"So that's why we had 41 students in our class? I was an accident?" Syl asked.

"Well, I wouldn't phrase it that way, but yes." Sakaynagi responded.

"Don't worry! I'm used to being called an accident! Children are really harsh to adoptive kids!"

Nobody laughed at Syl's joke. But Kiyotaka started thinking and connected a few dots.

Sakayangi smiled. "Anyways, no matter how they were admitted. They are now students of my school and the same rules apply to all students."

Ayanokoji finally relented and stood up to leave. "Good day."
