Chapter 112: What Happened?

By the time Kai came out, Lianne had breakfast prepared.

It was nothing fancy and light.

Lianne felt Kai should go to sleep, but perhaps he wouldn't want to yet. Eating before sleeping isn't recommended as the food needs to digest first. Nutritionists state that you should wait at least three hours after your last meal before you sleep.

So, Lianne was in a dilemma.

Should she, or should she not, make something?

In the end, she did something her mum used to do when she was very young. She made egg-in-a-basket.

First, she buttered a slice of bread on both sides. Then, using a glass, she cut out a 'window' in the middle of the bread. Using a skillet, she melted a knob of butter and placed the bread on it (yes, she loves butter).

She added more butter in the hole of the bread then cracked an egg in it, sprinkled some salt and paprika over it before covering the skillet.
