Chapter 31: Chapter 31: P.D.S. Assemble

As the weekend passes, Crash focuses his attention on every anomaly noticeable. He pays attention to every shadow or quick flash of movement. The teen keeps his mind open to the possibilities of receiving a sign from the other side. The winter storm filled him with a surge of energy. Crash can feel his forehead twitch with a heightened sense of awareness. He determines this week to set more time for the investigations his friends longed to do.

With his head held high in optimism, Crash rides his bike to school. The early morning fog rolls across the sidewalks. He pedals along with caution. 'It wouldn't be nice to slip.' Crash intensely eyes the path. While riding, his mind drifts to the events of recent weeks. As January ends, Crash realizes that he has not seen any of the weird shadows from the mall experience.

"Perhaps, they haven't left." He huffs along the ride. "I might not be able to see them…Either that, or they really are gone."
