Chapter 62: Free gift! Oh you don't like it?

[I see, so this present is related to why you had allowed Carol to live.] Leora held on to her urge to laugh evilly.

"May the Supreme One pass down judgement on my crimes?" Dan's head was facing down, hiding his looks of amusement. To Dan, this was like a theatrical play. A theatrical play which decides fates of powerful men.

"After certain considerations, I have decided that Dan is not guilty." This time, the Omnigod is satisfied with Dan's performance. In truth, he had initially doubt that Dan wasn't powerful enough to be his direct servant. However, after hearing that Dan had slain the real body of an awakened old god without any visible injuries, the Omnigod was relieved to gain such a powerful follower.

Little did the Omnigod know that Dan did not kill a fully awakened old god. Instead, Dan only killed a partially awakened one. But how would the Omnigod see the difference? The energy reading read it as a fully awakened old god.

Just as the Omnigod was about to end the court session, he howled out in a fury. Again time bent, and for a moment, one could see every single plane.

A single human was pulled out from the empty space.

Carol appeared in the court. The Omnigod had gone through space just to grab this innocent looking boy.

Carol struggled with all his might, but with a flick of his finger, Carol was torn into shreds. At the very least, the death was painless and quick.

The Omnigod wasn't interested in Carol. He was interested in the things in Carol's body. Seals built over the years were torn into pieces just like this.

The evil gods were ripped one by one, vanishing into nothing in front of the might of the Omnigod. Finally, the Omnigod stopped after reaching his goal. When the last of the evil gods perished, an eye with a yellow Iris and a bright red pupil.

It's veins bulged around the single eyeball. It gazes in hatred at the Omnigod. "Omnigod! And you! DIE!" Z'rax turned the entirety of its lifeforce into mana. Z'rax was allowed to transform into his fully awakened form.

A beam approached Dan, for a second it felt as if he was about to crush by immense pressure. With a single light puff of breath from the Omnigod, the beam was reflected, and Z'rax was dead. A strong and powerful god from the era of the Ancients was completely destroyed. This time, Dan was sure 100% sure that Z'rax is dead. He would never come back again.

[It still seems like I have underestimated the Omnigod's power.]

[That is the very pinnacle of Alcanti. Not only have you misread the Omnigod's power. You're still underestimating the Origin gods. I can assure you that Jenesis was not worthy of the Origin god title.]

[It doesn't matter, I've never planned to face them head-on.] Dan sank into deep thought as he tries to make further plans.

"God of Strategy. What is the meaning of this? Should I take this as a blatant betrayal?"

"I would never dare." He knelt on the ground, shivering and fearful of what is to come next. The best choice would be now to secure his own life. He should try to gain the Omnigod's mercy at all cost.

This was definitely too sudden, someone was trying to eliminate him. The more he thought about it, the more anxious he got. The God of Strategy had no idea who was the one behind this. Who was so daring to place a fragment of an Old God in a human and place the human in the capital of the Holy Kingdom?

Luckily or not so fortunately for the God of Strategy, he finally found the culprit. Throughout the entire process, Dan was the only one who showed a brief smile. If it was Dan then it all made sense, after all, Dan was the only one who had the most recent contact with Z'rax and Carol.

But since when was Dan this dangerous? This Dan knew that the truth didn't matter. As long as everyone believes in the lie, then the lie would become the truth. While the God of Strategy was desperately trying to think of ideas on how to save his life another conversation was taking place.

"My servants, what shall be an appropriate punishment?" The Omnigod seek for his servant's suggestions.

"Death," Asmer replied in a cheerful tone, her eyes sparkle as she ready herself to execute the God of Strategy.

"Agreed, we have to show the other gods that betrayal will never be taken lightly." Dan too pushed for a death sentence.

"Omnigod! Please reconsider. This could be a plot to kill me off. I am the great strategist of the god's faction. This could be why they so intent on killing me off."

The Omnigod hesitate to make a decision, Dan muttered inwards in annoyance. How indecisive... Then he said in a disgusted tone, "Look at him, already he denied his involvement. How unworthy of an Origin god! We must kill him off today, or he would continue to make a fool out of us!"

Most other Origin gods could see what Dan was trying to do. Since they didn't like the God of Strategy too, most voiced out their agreement to sentence the God of Strategy to death. The God of Strategy has far too many enemies. Even in his faction, nobody liked him but knew that he was a capable person. There was no hope for survival anymore.

"Since we have all agreed the God of Strategy should be eliminated." The Omnigod sigh and slew the god of Strategy, giving him a painless and simple death.

"Now, the court shall come to an end. You are all dismissed. Dan and Asmer, please follow me." The Omnigod lead both Dan, Leora and Asmer into a portal and on the other side seem like inside of a volcano. Looks like this will be a new task.

This is a ravine? And the lava is missing? There was something odd about this volcano. Why wasn't there any heat? Dan could only tell that this was a volcano from his earth sight. By implanting his consciousness into the soil, he could 'feel' the shape of the land.

[These aren't natural ravines.] Leora pointed out.

"These are claw markings?" Dan's brows raised in surprise. [But this makes no sense, a claw mark this size could only mean that the size of the creature is bigger than the human continent?]

[The Old God of the Dragon. The largest known Old God that ever existed. The last time I saw him, he was larger than the mortal plane.] Leora quenched Dan's curiosity.

"As my loyal servants, this is your next task. Tell me where the ancient dragon had gone. As for you Dan, your performance has greatly satisfied me. Tell me, what do you want as a reward?"

"I would like the Southern portion of the Human Continent." Dan requested.

"The Southern portion of the Human Continent? Wouldn't that be taking the territory of the God of Dawn?"

"So what? That is nothing but a mid-tier god, there is no need to pay heed to him."

"Very well, but this is your next task. Create a new race or invention to aid us against the Old Gods." And the Omnigod tore through space again to an unknown location.

[I have to create something?] Dan frowned at his current workload.

[Of course, you have to, being one of the three direct servants of the Omnigod also means that you have the highest workload. Now, are you bringing project Athena to life? Project Athena, a project to turn a supercomputer into a living being. You have unique ideas.] Leora read Dan's memories.

"Oh, by the way, Dan, your followers seem to have met some sort of trouble. Perhaps you should give them a helping hand. Shall I send my apostle of time?" Asmer giggled as she warned Dan.

"There is no need for such a meaningless action. Looks there will be some dead apostles." Leora replied as she stared in a seemingly random direction.

"Overconfidence is a killer. Your followers are at most a tier 15 being while the apostles of the ones they are facing are super-tier being. I do not see a way for your apostles to win without interference." Asmer poked fun at Leora's weak point.

"Haven't you heard of this saying?" Dan interrupted.

"What saying?"

"One grows the most in extreme situations." Out of the blue, Dan pulled out a white sabre. He spun his body around and stab towards Asmer. In that fraction of a second, a thousand stabs were launched towards Asmer.

Asmer merely smiled and deflected all of his strikes. "Your strikes are too weak, looks like you're treating this as a joke. Here's another word of advice from your senior, don't be too arrogant."

Of course, that was Dan's real power, he was not yet a true god let alone a demi-god.

"You think too highly of yourself, this is all I need to defeat someone of your caliber," Dan muttered cockily, landing blow after blow with his calm and casual smile.

"Your attacks are too orderly. Well, what could I have expected from the God of Order? This makes you predictable. Reading you at such speed is simple." Asmer wasn't affected by Dan's mutterings. She was here to see the depths of Dan's power. Though it was unexpected that Dan had taken the first strike, he seems to not be treating Asmer as a significant threat.

"Alright then! [Polarity Switch]." The calmness and peace that Dan previously gave out turned into an unending raging madness.

Who knows how this sudden fight started? Leora couldn't tell why Dan had attacked Asmer.
