Chapter 2: Chapter 2. Homecoming

REN'S P.O.V

Another dreadful week has been passed, breaking up with my ex-girlfriend, it keeps reminding me of couches, loud moaning, scattered clothes on the floor. It wouldn't have been hurt so badly if he was not my best friend. It was around this same time when I caught my ex girlfriend, cheating with my best friend. After that, things ended up into chaotic, with my hands and knuckles flying in every direction to punch his face went raw and bruised.

To overcome this detestable pain. I was looking for someone to talk with me, but thanks to someone, Sam, I miss that chance.

"I can't believe you and Jenny slept together," Sam laughed from his bed, pulling off his shoes. He let them drop to floor carelessly before pulling his clothes off and replacing them with my pajamas.

I glared at him. Still blaming him for destroying my laptop.

"What?" He questioned me, puzzled.

I rolled my eyes, "Whatever Dude. It was not me who climbed in her bed. I was drug and drag by her. Literally, I was raped for your information", pulling over the blanket and my branded laptop.

Sam laughed hysterically, rolling over the floor.

"Dude, you're totally screwed!", he said, still laughing.

I looked at him, one of my eyebrows raised, waiting for Sam to let out to muttered some words to explain me what exactly was happened.

Sam looked back," Don't look at me like that", he said finally when my gaze bore enough to sized hole through him. Sam sighed, defeated, "You are the top notch- hot topic- in Greenfield High School."

Still not satisfy with his explanation. I kept mum to let him continue. He understood and let out a deep sigh, "That Jenny outspread the false rumors of being slept together and declaring your new girlfriend".

Jenny, the desperate one, unkind and glamorous girl who does everything to get what she wants. Not only the fact that she had even dated each an every single boy of Greenfield high school but grabbing the title of - Most Favoured Girl.

"It's not my concern", I said finally, my eyes going back to my laptop.

Sam slipped under my cover and pulled the blanket over his chest.

"What the heck man! go to your own bed", I yelled, kicking him down. He was clutching my blanket, taking it down with him.

"Dude! don't tell me you weren't having any horny thoughts of Jenny and bed", Sam said letting out a dramatic moans and fake orgasm, with his hand, stroking up and down while peeking towards my direction. To my surprise, I quickly grabbed, to make it relax.

Sam laughed as hard while trying to get into his bed with my blanket.

"Shut up your shitty mouth!", I said throwing my piece of boxers at him, missing a little bit.

"Yeah , Yeah", still mocking me.

I grab my laptop, trying to search that girl again in matchmaker Cupid.

"Page full of scams". I murmur myself.

Trying my luck but to no avail. I couldn't find her. Even the last chat went missing. Even the user ID didn't exist. Taking a deep sigh. I let it slide myself under the blanket.

"Maybe I was expecting too much", I mumbled.

---------------------

Meanwhile in the Newston Airport.

As soon as we arrived,"Mia! Mia?", Maya called up from afar while walking through the whole airport.

I spotted Aunt Pamilia, standing near the walkaway, waving her hand in a delightful manner.

"Honey! Oh, I missed you so much", Aunt Pamilia shouted in a joy, hugging tightly to me.

"Hey Aunt! I miss you too", replying back, still struggling to break free from her tight hold. It was quite embarrassing in front of everyone.

She was smiling, her eyes studying my face carefully and then going behind my back. My mom.

"You haven't changed much, Lilian?" She asked, her smile never leaving her face.

They hug each other in a glee, chit chatting. I was little worried about my decision to coming here but seeing their faces brimmed with happiness, it's the right choice. We are going to live with them.

"Don't worry about anything. You will love this place", Maya comforted me, while winking at me.

The whole ride to Aunt's home was full of gossiping. Nevertheless they enjoy each other's company. I couldn't deny that.

Eventually reaching there, the house look more like a mansion, with magnificent yard with small yet dainty garden at the entrance, welcoming us, but the sudden appearance of a tall boy with honey blonde hair that fell over his pale face, caught my attention, my eyes wandered over up to his white long overcoat, to his underneath V- neck unbuttoned shirt, revealing some part of his fair skin. His perfect lips parted slightly in a beautiful smile. The sight of him approaching towards us, make my heart flutter. Before my heart misunderstood anymore. Pair of hands from my side reached him, pulling her into an affectionate hug and kisses.

My heart shattered once again. They were a couple, wearing an engagement ring. I was so focus to him that I never notice my cousin was wearing the same engagement ring. In a flash, I looked away more quickly than I could, feeling flushed with embarrassment. Little disappointment.

"You guys! Go Get some room - Kids nowadays"

I heard Aunt Pamilia shouting from behind. I turned around to see my mom who looks way more confused than me.

"They are engaged? When?",My mom asked in a surprise tone.

"That-- Maya plan to announce once you guys reached here but seems like - there's no need now", Aunt said in a cheerful voice.

I glanced sideways to saw the couple giggling and heading in our direction.

"Aunt Lillian and Mia, meet my fiancé - Fabian", cousin introduced him to us.

"It's nice to meet you Mrs--,"

Mom didn't let him finish,"Skip with the formalities, now we are a family, just call me Aunt "she said smiling.

I didn't bother to join in their conversation. I try to drift away from there, lifting my luggage, I staggered on my way but soon join in by him.

"If you don't mind. May I?", Fabian ask in a refined tone, gesturing towards my bag.

I was stunned by its instant approach. Not knowing what to do. It was an awkward silence.

"No, Thanks for asking", I mumbled, hurriedly trying to take my leave before bumping against something - rock solid- losing my balance I tripped over with my bags, causing the commotion.

"Oh man! Don't you have an eyes, You Dumb!", an unfamiliar voice said in a hostile manner, dusting off his clothes.

I stare blankly to the new face. He was so mean. Holding up my anger, I began grabbing my stuffs lying on the ground. A pair of blurry hands came into my sight. My stupid tear ducts. Quickly wiping my tears back. I get a hold of myself. When I turned around, I was already surrounded by Aunt Pamilia and Maya. Mom on my left side.

"Sam Collins! It was rude to act this way to a family. Apologize right now!", Fabian demanded and frowned. The atmosphere was getting intense. No one spoke. I peeked up a little bit and regretted it. Sam was glaring to me with an icy stare. I could see the veins bulging out from his tight fist.

"Sorry", there was no sincerity behind, showing intense dislike to me, he disappeared without looking back. Another awkward silence.

"Never mind him - I am so sorry for his rudeness. He is my nephew, Sam Collins. He used to be an obedient child but - ", he looks sad and gloomy, never completed his sentence, while Maya embracing him.

To lighten the atmosphere, Aunt pamilia asked cheerfully," Why don't you guys get some rest. Maya show Mia her room" elbowing her to move fast. Mom noticed that too. She didn't say anything.

Things went messy today. I thought myself. They were hiding something.
