Chapter 21: Surgery. Surgery! Surgery!!
Jason performed the surgery on his 3 prisoners first. Chips needed 2 days per skill level to be downloaded. And Jason was sure that all 3 of them were either level 7 or 8 in their fields so he would need at least 2 weeks for them.
Jason had Cassandra and Carin watch from the side while he performed the surgeries. They were both tough and didn't mind seeing the blood and gore but that wasn't why Jason wanted them to watch.
He wanted them to see exactly what he was going to do to them and how he was going to change them.
Jason needed 3 hours per person so it took him 9 hours to finish all the installations. As soon as he was done with each person, he installed the chips so that they could immediately begin downloading.
When he went to sit down and take a breather, Cassandra walked up and began to rub the sweat off his head. Jason didn't stop her since she was using a cool towel and it felt amazing.
"So is that the same thing you will do to us?" Cassandra asked, her voice full of curiosity. She had already seen how easily Jason had done the procedure on the three before. Carin only noticed how skilled Jason was but she noticed that Jason's method was methodical. For each person, he performed the same part of the procedure at the same moment for each person.
"Partially. They are only getting the most basic surgery. That just allows cyberware to be used and chipware to be installed or downloaded. For ya'll, I plan on doing the necessary upgrades for each of you.
Cassandra, we need to replace your arm and give you a new eye. Your scores with marksmanship were pretty good so I'll give you my spare chip and some bioware upgrades.
Carin, your main weakness is your metagene being too strong for your body. I think you only need some bioware to bring out your full potential."
What Jason didn't say is that he was calculating everything based on what he estimated their body could handle. He wanted to implant the minimum about of cyberware that he felt was needed.
The reason why Deathstroke accepted both of the sisters and tolerated Carin for so long was their metagenes. Cassandra had a supernatural level of dexterity while Carin could move at super speed. Nowhere close to the Flash but she could outrun Jason's bike any day of the week.
But the major weakness of Carin is that she did not have the speed force which meant nothing protected her body when she moved too fast and the slowest she could move with her power activated was over 300 MPH.
Jason took another 30 minutes to rest and drank a few stimulants to force his mind to regain clarity before he started Cassandra's surgery.
The first thing Jason installed was the Neuralware Processor and the Chipware Reader into her brain and spine. After those were installed, Jason moved over to her eye. He installed the same cyberware he put in his own right eye to make her the perfect sniper.
The only thing he changed was the Explosion Analysis and he replaced that with the Infrared vision so she could see in the dark.
After the eye was installed, Jason moved down to her arm. Instead of installing the basic cyberarm like he did for himself and Talia, he gave Cassandra the Orbital Crystal Cyberarm. It was much stronger than a normal one which meant it could handle recoil better and take more of a beating.
The arm was fully kitted out with the basic armor, Realskinn, reinforced joints, and emp shielding. He then filled the inside of the arm and hand with cool toys. The grabble hand so she could move around like the Bat Family, a micro-missile launcher, and a cybermodem for any hacks she would need to perform. Jason made sure he kept some room in case of any future upgrade so he wouldn't have to replace the whole arm.
He then cut open Cassandra's chest and gave her the Enhanced Lungs Series 3. The last change, he did for her was giving her grafted muscles to improve her physical strength.
'Let's give her the Marksmanship (Snipers) +7 and the Marksmanship (Boomerangs) +7 just for giggles.'
When he was finally done with Cassandra, Jason was panting. Her surgery took 12 hours to do everything.
'Fuck this! I've had enough of playing Ripperdoc.'
Jason called Carin over and gave her a sedative. But instead of doing th surgery himself, he paid the extra 20% to get it all auto-installed. In an instant, Carin had gotten all of her upgrades.
Besides the basics, Jason did a DNA mapping of her body before also giving her two gene modifiers. Unlike the one that Jason used on himself to increase his maximum body limit, Carine received that one plus one that would increase her reflexes.
After the gene modifier, Jason had to increase Carin's body so she could handle her powers. She was given 2 rounds of grafted muscle surgery, muscle and bone lace to further increase her body's strength, and a set of skinweave that basically turned her body into armor while looking like normal skin.
Jason also installed a Sandevistan. Although she couldn't use it at the time that she used her powers, she could still use it in combat situations when she needed shorter bursts of speed that were easier to control.
After hooking up Carin to a medical monitor, he decided to take a nap. He had been doing surgeries for nearly 21 hours straight.
