Chapter 21: Chapter Twenty-One

Her hand was healing.

I looked at the stump and it was healing, slowly, very slowly, the residual Magic of Blaze was delaying it, but it was healing.

In all honesty, it should not be healing, at all.

I hummed for a moment, narrowing my eyes even as Loki asked her questions.

From Loki's familia, Riveria and Ais were sitting in on the meeting, Along with Finn and Gareth, the dwarf, Tiona and Tione, and Bete.

Hestia was sitting quietly, not antagonizing Loki, thankfully, and observing Revis.

"And what will be there on the fifty-ninth floor?"

Hestia spoke up, looking at the kneeling redhead impassively. Revis hesitated and the chains I had wrapped around her started heating up, not enough to burn but enough to be noticeable.

"Another seed..."

The heat died down, and the three gods remained silent for a few minutes before Loki finally spoke up.

"What do you think Hestia?"

Hestia looked at her for a moment, then at Revis, before looking at me. We stared at each other unblinkingly for a few seconds before I nodded.

"My Bell will accompany your Familia on the expedition if you ever decide to go on one that deep."

Loki leaned back on the couch, massaging her forehead.

"Yeah, from what Finn told me, he did most of the work taking down this girlie..."

She sighed and finally nodded.

"Yeah, he would be of great help, however, the payments for enchanting the bags will have to be delayed, and if anyone asks for any enchantments on their weapons, they will have to pay from their own pocket."

I nodded, not really minding it much. Money could come later, after all.

__

"Can you do something with this?"

I held the leg armor piece for a moment, looking at it curiously as Bete stood in front of me, his eyes looking me over.

"What does it do?"

His ear twitched and he shoved his hands inside his pockets.

"It absorbs elemental magic and I can use it as my own..."

I nodded and looked back down at the armor piece, narrowing my eyes.

"Do you use a magic weapon to power it?"

He nodded and pulled out a red dagger.

"It produces fire if that helps."

I nodded again and held out my hand on the inside of the armor piece, my fingers brushing against the area where i would most likely place the enchantment.

"I can add a minor wind element, you can use it separately, or make the flames more intense."

His eyebrow quirked in interest.

"How much will that cost me?"

That was actually a good question. I had no idea, while enchantments were no doubt valuable, I could not really just label the services because... well, I haven't done this before.

"1.5 million and I'll make it more durable too."

His other eyebrow rose too and his tail flucked for a moment, before he nodded.

"Sounds fair, how long will that take?"

I shrug.

"Give me like, forty minutes."

He nodded and bent down, taking off his other piece and handed it to me.

"I'll go get the money."

I took it and sat down on the couch, still in the same room. The only one that was missing was Gareth, since he took Revis to where they were keeping her in the first place.

Riveria looked at me curiously as Bete walked out of the room, probably to head to his room or the guild, wherever he kept the money.

"Can you do something with magic staff's too?"

I hummed in thought, thinking about what enchantments I could offer. The ones the mage of my party used were all high level, I could do them, but that would probably take weeks, unless I leveled up a few more times to get enough mana to waste.

Mana traveled from my palm into the metal as I etched the symbols into the armor absently.

"I could make the mind concentration point more efficient."

I offered, starting with the second symbol.

"Efficient?"

The green haired high elf asked, looking for clarification.

"If you could do your strongest spell five times and then pass out, you will be able to do it five times and not lose consciousness."

She blinked and leaned back in her chair for a moment, seemingly thinking.

"What about spears?"

Finn asked curiously.

"I can give it a lightning enchantment..."

I shrugged, putting the first piece of armor to the side and grabbing the second one.

"Will that use Mind of the user?"

I shook my head.

"No."

Two spears were placed on the table and I glanced at the Smiling Finn that was going back to his seat.

Well, great.

Riveria placed her staff on the table too just as Ais spoke up.

"What about a rapier?"

Well... Can't complain about more work, I guess...
