Chapter 2: Ancient Saint Kingdom (2)
Night has fallen. In the outskirts of the Ancient Saint kingdom consists of towering mountains, thick forestry, and vast plains. A number of low-tier towns are scattered all around. Countless gazes turned to the rustling of the trees from the south. Dozens of people clad in different colored robes rushed forth with immense aura coming from their bodies.
"Azure. King Vern will be overjoyed with this piece of news". A man clad in pink robe said.
"Yeah. Due to the fact this infant possess the most dazzling innate technique in the whole Iradel." Azure said in a joyous tone.
"This infant will be nourished with the King's guidance and different elders that would nourish him to become the next Supreme Immortal Of Light" Lufia exclaimed in contempt.
As the cloaked individuals sped through the night. Another important figure has seen the single beam of light after the 9 beams of light shone.
This individual is well known as the warlock of an ancient tower. It's located in the western part of the outskirts of the Ancient Saint Kingdom. Looks of puzzlement can be seen from his countenance.
"That's strange, a single beam of light shone after the Nine beams of light in the exact same location." The old warlock said with a puzzled tone. This warlock is well known within the Ancient Saint Kingdom. known as Guillotine or nicknamed as "Vanguard of Darkness". His physique is second to none in the entire Ancient Saint Kingdom. His physique can withstand a lot of powerful Mad'ouk attack-type spells.
This old warlock is well versed in "Physical refinement techniques", which helps the body withstand damages inflicted to the body with minimal effects. His cultivation level is already at the perfection stage of the Transcendent Realm. In terms of strength only a number of people are capable of competing with him in the entire Ancient Saint Kingdom. However, there are still countless kingdoms that are more powerful than the Ancient Saint Kingdom. So he's not sure whether, he can compete with the other kingdoms powerhouses with his strength alone.
"Maybe it's the best time to take in a disciple" Old Guillotine said with an excited expression, while walking away in large strides going down the steps of the tower.
Eight hours passed...
Ancient Saint Kingdom's Palace
"My King! the envoys have returned with great news!" a guard exclaimed in a respectful tone facing the King of the Ancient saint Kingdom.
The Old king "Vern" of the Ancient Saint kingdom doesn't really look like an old man rather, he looks like a middle aged man. With a handsome countenance light brown skin, with a messy stubble of a beard. His eyes radiating pure majestic and imposing aura with the color of Sky blue. wearing a golden crown upon his head with countless gems and diamonds that shown in the night. His cultivation has reached the Intermediate stage of the Transcendent realm. He got stuck because of a bottle neck due to the dangers of breaking through the Perfection stage.
"When the envoys arrive, tell Lufia and Azure to report to me as soon as possible." King Vernan said with an imposing tone while glaring at the guard who reported earlier about the envoys.
"Yes, your majesty! I hear and obey!" The guard hurriedly left with cold sweat dripping from his forehead. He never seen his majesty to look so tense before, so he hurriedly left without having second thoughts.
Outside the Ancient Saint Kingdom Palace.
The walls of the Ancient palace are about one hundred meters in height and covers the circumference of the whole palace within a Hundred thousand square miles. They are made of Balboa stones that looks like cement. However, Balboa stones are taken from the magical beast called "Balboa" they are colossal type magical beast, it has a formidable defense but a low attack power. The Kingdom's cultivators hunted them relentlessly to make the walls of the palace. And to avoid attacks from other kingdoms.
Dozens of silhouette's are running in a fast and steady manner going straight for the Palace's gates.
"Halt! Identify yourselves!" a guard guarding the gate said in a serious tone glaring at the people that just arrived.
"Nine Star Commander, Lufia of the First Royal Envoy Company" said the woman identifying herself as Lufia. After talking she took out a medallion with a lady praying engraved in it. This medallion is the symbol of the Royal envoys of the first command. The most elite envoys that are completely under the King and consist of heavily trained individuals that are experts in assassinations tasked by the King or errands asked by the King.
"Eight Star Commander, Azure of the Second Royal Envoy Company" said Azure in a respectful tone. after stating his identity he pulled out a medallion out of his pocket and showed it to the guard. This medallion has a lion engraved on it. It symbolizes the elite warriors and most brutal company of the Royal envoys of the Ancient Saint Kingdom.
"Ma'am, Sir! It's an honor!" The guard at the gates exclaimed in a respectful tone. These people are not the people, he should mess with these are the elites of the elites in the whole kingdom. No one dared to offend them due to the fact they are only second and third in command compared to the King in terms of power. However, Not one in the Ancient Saint Kingdom saw any of the envoy's faces. They only know they exist and working in the shadows.
The gates of the Ancient Saint Palace opened and dozens of the people clad in robes rushed in. Citizens of the Ancient Saint Kingdom turned their heads as shadows flew past them.
Ancient Saint Palace Royal Court
"Your Majesty, we've accomplished the task "Omega". Lufia said in a respectful tone while bowing in front of King Vernan. She was the second in command next to the king. Naturally, she would listen to the King's command.
"Oh? where's the Infant?". The King asked pointing at Azure.
"Your Majesty, the baby is inside the Celestial Ring". The Celestial Ring is like a storage for items. Living and non-living things. There's a space roughly two hundred sq feet inside the Ring. Describing the outer features of the ring. It's circular in size with lions embedded located on the sides of the item. To activate the item, one must stroke the lions' head and concentrate to fully open the Celestial Ring.
Each individual's palm consist of dots. These dots represent their talent in cultivation. They represent the beams of light they possessed when they were born. So this way people can know their potential. Sometimes these are symbols of power. If you have a more dots than the others you have a higher standing compared to the lower dotted individuals.
The King Vern possess seven dots in his palm meaning. When he was born seven beams of light shone in the sky. He's one of the five pillars of the Ancient Saint Kingdom. The old man Guillotine also called the "Vanguard of Darkness" is also one of the five pillars. The Five pillars of The Ancient Saint Kingdom are the strongest individuals in the entire kingdom that possess seven dots in their palms. They have high standing and sometimes have a say in the Kingdom's affairs.
"Take him out and let me have a thorough check on him". King Vern stated while stroking his chin.
"As you wish. My Lord" Azure said while stroking the ring in his fingers, suddenly an infant sprang from the open air in front of Azure. The infant was floating in the air with nine dots appearing on it's palms.
"This is unprecedented in the 3000 years of history of the Ancient Saint Kingdom" King Vern with a surprised expression looking at the floating infant. He gently stepped down from the throne and caught the infant in his arms.
"I'll call you Diaculus, this means "The Harbringer". You shall be a magnificient individual in the whole kingdom, you will bring glory to my abode and the whole Ancient Saint Kingdom" The King exclaimed with a determined expression on his face.
