Our pack was in a crisis. My mother arranged a political marriage for me to save our pack. We were never happy in our marriage. I never paid attention to her, never treated her well. I left my position to my younger brother and escaped leaving her behind. She ended up cheating on me. She had Aries with another man. Even though I tried to raise Arya and Aries as my own children, I never felt any real affection to them. Felt like I was just doing everything out of pity. But Cara was different. When she first came to me I immediately felt attached. Like she was my own daughter. I took her to places I never took anyone. I learned to cook, do laundry, make braids. I even wore flower crowns because she made those with her tiny hands. I was selfish enough to offer her to leave school and come live with me. The first time I noticed her power she was only 15. She had abnormal physical power. I feared she will end up like me. I secretly trained her to be stronger so that she can protect herself when needed. We kept her powers secret. Because I knew Joshua will go to any extent to get that power in his hands. My worst nightmare came true. It wasn't only Joshua, Arya also joined him.
