Chapter 86: Chapter 86: Quintessa

Cybertron, the decaying homeworld of the Transformers.

Megatronus, in an instant, teleported to the desolate Cybertron. He walked with large strides, observing the barren landscape. Around him, he saw newborns struggling for survival, their crimson eyes blinking, and their bodies devoid of the nourishing liquid they needed.

Cybertron could no longer provide the sustenance needed for new Transformers to be born. The AllSpark was in H'el's possession, and they couldn't wrest it away from him. The Stellar Harvester couldn't breach H'el's Golden Barrier.

The revival of Cybertron was being hindered by the very being they had once devastated countless carbon-based lifeforms—H'el. It was like a cruel joke. The carbon-based lifeforms that were once easily extinguished were now the ones preventing Cybertron's resurrection.

Megatronus' crimson eyes swept across the desolation. His appearance was horrifying, as if he were a metal cage that had imprisoned the forces of savagery, chaos, death, and destruction. His entire body seemed to flow with magma-like fluid from the core of the Earth.

Over the millennia, he had drained himself of compassion and benevolence. He was the instigator of the Decepticons' uprising, the catalyst driven by self-interest that led to Cybertron's destruction. In the future, he would also be the one to rebuild Cybertron.

Right now, all he wanted was to kill the carbon-based lifeform and reestablish his own Cybertron.

As he reached the center of Cybertron, on a towering platform in the heart of the immense cosmos, Shockwave was already present. He had lowered his head, submitting himself before Quintessa.

Quintessa, who regarded herself as the supreme creator of the Transformers, was humanoid in appearance, standing at around 1.6 meters. Her entire body was composed of a bright steel-like metal, with deep blue optics harboring unimaginable power.

She hovered in the air, with a silky-smooth steel cape-like structure behind her that billowed as she floated.

"You didn't bring him here! Megatronus, how dare you appear before your creator?" Quintessa couldn't help but shout in anger when she saw that Megatronus had come alone, without bringing the carbon-based lifeform.

She had set up a vast trap here, using a mechanical planet harvested from the cosmos to extract the last traces of life from Cybertron and lay a trap capable of killing anyone.

However, Megatronus had not brought the carbon-based lifeform here, appearing alone instead.

"Is that so, creator? If you truly are the creator, then why don't you go to the surface of Unicron yourself and compete with him for the last traces of cosmic energy, instead of berating me here in your creator's guise? I, Megatronus, one of the oldest and earliest ancient lifeforms of Cybertron, have never acknowledged you as our creator," Megatronus said, advancing with confident strides.

Shockwave, who was kneeling, subtly lowered his gaze.

Seeing Megatronus daring to question her identity as their creator, Quintessa coldly shouted, and countless steel-like metals transformed into ribbon-like strands, attempting to bind Megatronus. However, he dodged them one by one using teleportation and manipulated the metal under Quintessa's control, whipping it back towards her.

Quintessa's eyes flared with anger as she unleashed a gravity field, instantly increasing the gravity around her several times over.

Shockwave suffered the unwarranted calamity, crushed to the ground by the intensified gravity, forced into a humiliating prostration.

Megatronus, likewise, activated his own gravity field, but it couldn't counter Quintessa's. He was pressed down on one knee and attempted to use teleportation to escape but found himself unable to activate it. This area had been locked by Quintessa when she activated the gravity field.

Megatronus' cruel crimson eyes gleamed as he knelt under the pressure, raising his head to look at Quintessa.

"Teleportation, telekinesis, gravity fields... Do you think these abilities were granted by someone?"

Quintessa's blue eyes blazed with anger. She floated over to Megatronus, her fiery resentment for her rebellious creation burning within her. With a slap, she struck Megatronus three-meter mechanical face, causing circuits to flicker, and half of his face turned bright red as if scorched.

In a rather feminine gesture, she roughly lifted Megatronus' chin and locked eyes with him, inputting control commands.

"Shockwave has located the Twelve Knights' ship, the ones who have betrayed me. It's somewhere in Earth's oceans, and it holds my staff. Once I've absorbed Unicron's energy, no carbon-based lifeform will be my match. Go, find my staff, you foolish child."

Quintessa couldn't contain her rage and delivered another slap, causing Megatron Zentorn's mechanical face to dent, with metal components splintering.

Under her control, Megatronus pupils shifted from cruel red to bewildered purple, and he instinctively replied, "Yes, Mother."

Shockwave silently climbed to his feet from the ground and said, "Yes, Mistress."

...

Earth.

H'el paid no attention to Cybertron, and after dealing with the Stellar Harvester, he returned from Egypt to the Hoover Dam. He ordered Black Armor to utilize electromagnetic forces in coordination with himself to expedite the construction of his Gold Barrier.

The fifth level was already in progress and, under his control, was gradually completing, extending toward the sixth level.

Meanwhile, on Earth, due to the cessation of its rotation, over sixty-five percent of the areas under the Gold Barrier were now deprived of sunlight. The temperature dropped, tidal waves several hundred meters high began forming, and the continental plates began to shift gradually.

Namibia, West Africa, Northern China, Jordan, and six other regions symmetrically positioned on the Earth's surface had six massive metallic horns emerging from the ground and oceans. They were extending at a rate of three meters in height every day.

As H'el was contemplating the construction of the sixth level and thinking about constructing the seventh level to cover interstellar space, he pinched his nose bridge, easing the soreness from the high-intensity work. He looked down at Earth and saw six colossal metal horns, now reaching a height of seventy meters.

"Isn't this just adding chaos?" H'el frowned deeply, realizing that Unicron was about to awaken based on these signs. The seventh level of the Gold Barrier wasn't even complete yet, and he still needed to utilize a portion of Earth's magnetic field. If Unicron awakened, it would complicate matters.

H'el activated his X-ray vision, looking down at Earth for fifteen minutes before retracting his gaze, choosing not to interfere.

"Black, connect to North America's magnetic field and prepare," he ordered his black armor.

"Understood, Master."

As soon as he issued this command, a massive pillar of light erupted in the Pacific Ocean. Unicron's energy was continuously drawn through the beam to Cybertron in space.

Earth's reaction instantly slowed down, and the six colossal metallic horns did not emerge from the surface.

The entire planet seemed to calm down under H'el's perception.

This was rather coincidental. H'el used part of North America's magnetic field and the Gold Barrier to absorb solar energy, while Quintessa absorbed Earth - Unicron's energy to keep him in a peaceful slumber.

H'el chuckled wryly, his gaze filled with amusement as he looked at Cybertron in space. As for how the two sides would interact after absorbing energy, it would depend on Quintessa's thoughts.

But one thing was certain; there would inevitably be a battle that could destroy the galaxy because everyone needed the AllSpark.

H'el turned around, instructing his black armor to manage North America while he continued constructing the Gold Barrier.
