Chapter 8: Chapter 8: An important item.

Rao was reflecting on what he learned today.

"I think the mixture of emotions like kindness, compassion and the mindset that this is the right thing to do was what triggered Martha's actions." I thought to myself.

Satisfying my curiosity on this subject, I ask: "Where is my son's ship?"

"What will you do?" Jonathan asked me.

"We are leaving, I have already finished what I came to do on this planet." I answer, honestly.

"What ...?" Martha spoke in a discredited tone. "Are you going out...? And Clark? "

"His name is Kal-El. And yes, he is coming with me." She really got attached to Kal-El, huh? What a strange race; they protect beings who are not their peers.

Jonathan nodded his head. "I hid the ship in the basement, follow me."

"Jonathan!?"

"Martha, they are his parents, we have no right to take their children away."

"But they abandoned him ..." She tries to argue.

"Martha!!" Jonathan shouted angrily.

Martha cringed when she saw Jonathan scream. Jonathan looked at me. "I'm sorry for this."

"It's all right." I say.

I look at Martha, 'As I thought, this kindness clouds her judgment ... Feelings are important, but you can't act with just the feeling, you have to have 50% logic and the equivalent of feelings, the balance is the key.'

I follow Jonathan to the 'basement'; while following Jonathan, I looked at nature and took a deep breath; this planet is very clean compared to Krypton. I still remember how our planet was polluted. I really liked this planet. It's close to a yellow sun too, but the humans don't value their planet? Well, it must be my mentality; you don't appreciate something you receive without much effort.

The Kryptonians have made this mistake in the past as well. I sigh, I think that in terms of mistakes, our races are not so different.

Noticing my actions, Faora, who was beside me, asks in Kryptonian language. "Sir?"

"Faora, what do you think of this planet?"

Faora looks at nature for a moment. "I think a good planet, it would be worthy to be the base of the Kryptonian empire."

Understanding what she meant, I laughed a little amusingly. "Indeed." I stop looking around and follow Jonathan as I hold little Kal-El, who was still undressed.

Arriving in the basement, I noticed the ship made to carry a person with the house's symbol.

"I don't know what the material is, but it is still intact." Jonathan said.

I ignore him and walk over to the ship. "Activate." I speak the Kryptonian language.

...?

Why didn't activate it? I look closer and realize that this is an old ship; it was activated using a special key.

I click on the button, and a key with the symbol of the house 'El' is removed; I take the key and put it again, this time the ship is activated, but it is out of fuel.

"Faora, take the ship, we are leaving."

"Yes, My Lord."

Faora approached the ship and raised it with one hand.

"That's impressive." Jonathan said impressed.

"This is normal for us." I say as I leave the basement.

The moment I stepped out of the basement, I heard a loud noise.

* Boooom! *

"..." Faora had destroyed the basement entrance.

I look at Jonathan. "How can I say ... I'm sorry for my wife's actions, she is not very delicate."

Faora twitches her eyebrow a little when she hears what Rao said about her.

"... It's okay ..." Jonathan said, but I can tell by his voice that this isn't right.

I sigh a little, 'Well, they took care of a member of my race, I can make up for that attitude, right?'

I hold Kal-El with my left hand, I bring my right arm close to my face. "Disable invisibility." I speak the Kryptonian language.

...

Jonathan notices the darkened environment; when he looked at the sky, he saw a giant ship ... 'This is crazy, this thing was on top of our house all the time !?'

It would be an understatement to say that Jonathan is not shocked!

...

I watch the ship land lightly on the ground; I looked at Faora and nodded. She walked over to the ship and opened the back. When she placed Kal El's ship inside, she returned to my side, delivering Kal-El to her.

Faora looks at Kal-El indifferently while holding him. "Treat him well, he is a member of our race." I say.

"Yes, My Lord." She answered, but her expression doesn't change ... At least she understood.

I got on the ship and got a piece of equipment that we use to heat our food, it is useless from our point of view, after all, we have a lot of this equipment, but for a race that is not technologically developed, this must be an incredible item.

What does this item do? It's simple, it heats up our food, the item isn't too big, it's the size of a chair, it has a small door where you put the food.

[A / N: I am bad at describing futuristic devices, but this is basically a super technological microwave.]

I approach Jonathan. "Take it."

"Huh?"

I take Jonathan's hands and hand over the equipment. "This is an important item of our race, you can sell it to your government or something, you will earn a lot of money."

"W-Wait ... Heavy!" Jonathan exclaims.

"Consider this a gesture of thanks for taking care of my son." I said as I turned towards the spaceship.

...

Jonathan looked at Rao and saw him entering the ship; shortly afterward, the ship ascended to the skies and disappeared as if it did not exist in the first place.

"They are gone ..." He looks at the item he received. "What do I do with this?" He sees a futuristic item, to be honest, he doesn't know what that item is for.

Remembering Rao's words, he decides to keep this as a family heirloom; after all, it is an important alien item.
