Chapter 32: 32. Uncertainties

Story Is Back To The Present(From Chap 9):

Next Morning At Breakfast, A Day After Coming into Contact with the Two Men.

"What time is your meeting today?", Mama Chi asked.

"It's at nine o'clock am today.", Muchen answered.

"Lulu, stop nibbling at the food and eat properly. Or do you want me to feed you again?", Mama asked.

Her question again reminded Muchen of how she had forced-fed Yun Lui last night. 'What is wrong with her, wasn't she the one who had spoilt him in the first place? And why does she keep wanting him to eat up that much, anyway?', He mused.

"No, mother. I'll eat by myself.", anwered Yun Lui. He immediately sat up right and started eating properly but couldn't eat much anyway. "I'm full.", he said and made to leave the dining room.

"Sit.", Mama said. Yun Lui sat back on his seat.

"You are going to meet people that probably know you from the past. You cannot go and meet them with this gloomy look on your face. You better fix whatever is bothering and put on some smiling face before meeting them.

I wouldn't want them to get the impression that you're unwelcoming. It could push them away. Right now they're the only chance of finding your family. Do you want to mess that up?", Mama asked looking at him.

He shook his head. "Then fix your countenance at least.", she added.

Yun Lui may not know this about himself but the others are aware that he can easily push people away whenever he is gloomy, especially those who do not really know him will easily misunderstand.

Papa Chi and Muchen had tried to see if they help trace his family. They wanted to do this by finding out where the vehicle he came to the capital had come from.

The hospital had recorded the location when they had to receive the injured patients from the accident then.

The Vehicle had come from the Shi village but had made many stops in the various villages along the way to pick up some more passengers along the way.

This made it very hectic for them. Their search came to an end because they had little time to search every village possible, so at the end, they silently prayed for a miracle instead.

Now that they've been favored by these two men who might know their Lulu's family, she did not want to lose them, hence why she is been hard on him. If she pampers him like she usually does because he is down, she's afraid he'll go and mess up.

After dinner, she took Yun Lui's hand and dragged him to his room. She looked for some good clothes and made him wear them. She fixed his hair and put on some very light, almost unnoticeable, makeup for him.

"Smile let me see.", Mama Chi said. Yun Lui smiled. It wasn't a forced one. He liked how he looked after seeing his reflection.

"There, better. Stay like this and let your brother do most of the talking if it'snot necessarily pertaining to you. You can just answer the personal questions that they may have for you.", She paused.

Yun Lui was still sitting on the stool he had sat on before the vanity mirror when Mama Chi was doing his makeup. So Mama Chi bent down and held his two hands in one hand while rubbing them with her other hands as she continued,

"Lulu, you know mommy loves you right? I will never force you into doing anything that is bad for you. Right now you have so many thoughts and concerns, and perhaps you're also worried about the what ifs, but we will the have any answers to these concerns if we let them prevent us from finding out the truth.

What do you have to lose anyway? Your brother will be with you to protect you, so do not fear. It's not like we will allow any harm to come to you.

Trust me on this okay? My darling baby, hmm?", she gave him a kiss on his forehead and got him up from the chair. She gave him some nice flowery scented spray and together they left to the living room. Yun Lui's face seemed better.

"Wow. But mother, are we going for a date or to meet people? Now I feel underdressed.", Muchen teased. Yun Lui just smiled. He was indeed feeling better now.

"Now you're all set. Where exactly are you meeting them?", She asked. She wanted to be sure that they were meeting in an open place.

She wouldn't want to hear that they have been harmed or kidnapped or ambushed. They did not know Yun Lui's past, what if he was surrounded by bad people that wanted to harm him and perhaps he ran away from them?

Well, whether that is farfetched or not, she did not want to take chances and risk his life. Prevention is always better cure.

"We are meeting them at Mama Yue's Restaurant. The diner by Papa Gu's supermarket.", Muchen said.

"Okay. But no matter what happens, do not follow them to any quiet or dangerous place. Make sure to be at where there are many people around and do not let your guard down just because they might know Lulu.

All the same, be friendly and be sure to get their address and contact information. Your Father might want to know that when he returns from his trip. I won't take much of your time.

Now go. Lui, be sure to be friendly to them okay?", Mama Chi said and pushed them out of the door to the living room into the compound. The time was already eight thirty in the morning.

'Now who's more worried? You or Lui? Acting all tough before him but still worried about him.', Muchen shook his head smiling.

He took Yun Lui's hand and together they left.

Chi Lan asked to spend some time with the twins today, so their caretaker took them there, around seven thirty early this morning.
