Chapter 16: Powerful Demonic Beast?
"To leave this place, you must activate the runes inside the inner section." Dracul smiled and said.
Leon remembered the runes, he saw them when he first arrived at the hall. It was the circle with several triangles inside, intersecting each other and forming a shape of the star.
At first, when he had gotten closer to the circle, it lit up and clones appeared on top of it.
Now, Mad God had died, so the restriction was gone. Both of them easily arrived in front of the rune. It was still intact, and there was no damage on it.
"Young man, put your hands on top of the runes, and send Qi in it," Dracul said.
Leon placed his hands on top of rune and sent Death Qi inside. Suddenly, it lit up and formed into a portal. He could see the other side, it was the forest, completely different place, where he came from.
Suddenly, scenery inside the portal changed, he saw a mountain, and three stone pillars in it, standing, facing each other. He was shocked, delighted, He knew this place, he had heard about it when he was in the sect.
This place was known Tristone mountains, located in the Tristone Kingdom. The kingdom named itself because of this mountain. Those pillars were standing there, from ancient times, and no one knew its origin.
Finally, the scenery changed back, the forest was in sight again, and there was no more turbulence inside the portal.
"Now, you know the location of the second portal and can leave this place, I have a small request to make," Dracul said.
"Sure, as long as I can." Leon casually replied.
"It is a simple request, but you can't accomplish it now," Dracul said.
"I wish, if one day you become the master of this tower, I want you to remove my soul binding." Dracul eyes had shines of hope, said.
Leon looked at him, this guy is really pitiful. He lived here all alone, with no one to talk. Even now, after the death of the Mad God, he is still trapped here.
Leon promised and jumped into the portal.
He appeared on the other side. It was the forest thick with trees, each so beautiful, so fascinating, it was impossible to look beyond, to see the bigger picture.
The landscape was filled with grass, flowers, plants and a flowing river which was not very deep, only deep enough to reach the knee. Squirrels were running from one tree to another, bees were hovering around the flowers, and butterflies were flying everywhere, giving different colors to the forest.
This place was heaven, a heaven on earth. He could not believe, such a beautiful and calm place can exist, it gave him a very peaceful feeling, so he decided to stay in this place for the time being.
He arrived at the shore of the river, found a clean place and sat down while admiring the beauty of nature.
"I haven't felt this calm as long as I can remember ." He said in a soft voice.
He mind was in constant turmoil for a long time, 'forced by the sect', 'running into Song Yu and Zhou Min' and 'facing clones and Mad God', he almost died several times. He remembered those scenes and felt exhausted, he just wanted to sleep, a very long sleep.
He laid down and closed his eyes, slowly falling into deep sleep.
*crickets chirp*
After a long time, he opened his eyes, it was dark and night had fallen. A strange feeling came to his mind, he felt being watched. He looked around, and saw, a pair of eyes in the darkness staring at him.
"Who?" Leon shouted.
Those eyes kept staring at him without uttering a single word.
"Who are you?" he asked again.
Despite being called twice, no sound came from the owner of those eyes. Leon and a pair of eyes kept staring at each other.
After some time, a childish voice came out and asked.
"Human! How did you come here?"
After hearing the childish voice, Leon mind relaxed, but all of a sudden, he tensed, after he remembered the 'Human' word spoken by it.
"Is he not human? If not then what is he?" he asked himself.
He kept thinking, and his face suddenly changed.
"If he is not the human the could it be?" He thought a possibility, it frightened him.
When those eyes saw the expression of Leon's face, it felt delighted, as if it was expecting those expressions. Those eyes got more courageous and said.
"You intruded my domain, this place belongs to me."
"This is misunderstanding, I can explain," Leon had the creepy feeling, said.
Leon suspected it was a demonic beast, they were extremely powerful and ferocious and could kill any human at the realm. A Demonic beast that could speak was even more dangerous because it would be at the unimaginable realm.
'I just survived many disasters, why I keep getting on after another.'
'I don't want to die after going through everything, I have to convince this demonic beast.'
"You intruded my place without my permission, How is this misunderstanding?" Those eyes got even more courageous and said.
Leon was cursing his luck, he thought about grabbing his sword, in case the situation gets worse.
Suddenly, he remembered, that he did not have a sword, and he was still totally naked.
'Damn!' He cursed inside, how could I have forgotten to ask that Dracul guy for a pair of clothes?
Those eyes had gotten even more courageous, and started to come out behind the thick trees.
A figure came out, it had two eyes, two ears, one tail, and four paws. It tried to look ferocious, but no matter from which angle you look at it, it looked very cute.
"A cat?"
