Chapter 90: Buried and Unburied

Sage kept seeing Gia leave the room. He had only gotten a glimpse of her—the grown Gia. She reminded him of a fierce lioness, wild and wounded. And now she was off pack land somewhere, and David couldn't locate her. 

Rather than alerting anyone to her disappearance, David and Sage had decided to look for her themselves. They hadn't stumbled upon her scent trail yet and with each minute that passed that they couldn't find her, the more anxious they both became. 

"I need you to do something for me," Sage finally said after they had been out in Suicide Forest much too long without any luck. 

David was searching as his wolf and didn't answer, but he snorted a breath from his nose.
