Chapter 125: Son of a Legend

"This doesn't make any sense. If Ambrosia knows that he's your mate, but she doesn't want you to know, then why even allow him to be with you at all?" Zane asked, seated in a chair at the table across from his sister and the lycan. 

Theo and Cora had told him everything that had occurred while he was locked away—everything that Cora had been forced to forget when she was compelled by Grayson and then Ambrosia. Meeting Theo in the dungeon, discovering him again behind the palace… those brief moments of realization before they were snatched away.

"They need me to be happy," she said slowly, as if she were trying to work it all out herself. "Those flowers really scared them." 

"The black ones?" He asked. He had heard about those flowers, of course, but he had never seen them for himself. It was difficult to imagine how a flower, even one that looked like an ancient creature, could create such an uproar.
