Chapter 56: Welcome Back
Feng Hei Lang let out a sigh of relief when she saw Hu Li University. Kang Lei grinned and nudged her. "It really has been a while, hasn't it?"
Kirei frowned. "Only a few weeks. Let's hurry up and get the herbs and corpse to Instructor Le Yi. By the way, Hei Lang, how is the poison holding up?"
She blinked twice, trying to remember what he was talking about. "Oh! Yeah, that! I would appreciate if I could get the antidote as soon as possible. I have to get it treated within two days."
He nodded. "The antidote will finish by tonight. You can just visit me then at my dorm room."
Fend Hei Lang smiled. "Alright. Then I'll swing by tonight. Where is your room at?"
He shrugged. "Come to either the Gold Rank floor or the top floor. I have two rooms."
Kang Lei's jaw dropped. "The top floor? That's where the Platinum Ranked disciples stay!"
She covered her mouth. "Oops, Kirei, were you not supposed to say that?"
He shrugged again. "It's fine. I trust water boy to an extent."
Kang Lei bumped into him. "Hey hey! Only to an extent?"
Kirei ignored him and started walking towards Hu Li University. "Come, we better get this to Instructor Le Yi soon. She's probably waiting for us."
Feng Hei Lang followed him past the front entrance. She looked around and noticed that most foxes were in human form. She forgot that they should switch back.
She quickly switched and whispered to Kang Lei and Kirei, "Switch back to human form!"
Neither of them moved when they looked at her. She frowned. "Do I have something on myself? Switch back! Hurry!"
Still, none of them moved a muscle. Feng Hei Lang sighed and said, "What is wrong with you two? Why won't you move?" Both of them kept staring at her. 'Do I truly have something on my face?' She sighed and covered her face by pulling down her cloak hood. "Better? Now, switch forms."
Both of them snapped out of their daydreaming and shifted into human form. Kang Lei covered his mouth with his hand and turned away from her, his face a little red. "Sorry..."
She sighed. 'Why are they both acting like that? What did they see that made them act like that?'
Feng Hei Lang turned away and summoned a few medical herbs from her storage ring. "Anyways, let's head to the office tower so that Instructor Le Yi can take these items."
As they walked, the entire time, Feng Hei Lang noticed that Kirei didn't say anything. He was completely silent, as if immersed in something. She inwardly sighed once more. 'Why are they both acting so weird?'
They finally made it to the office tower and as she pushed the door open, Yan Baizhou greeted them. "W-Welcome to the office tower, disciples! I'm the Attendant in Training, Yan Baizhou! Oh, it's you again!"
Feng Hei Lang lifted up a hand in greeting. "Hello, we're looking for Instructor Le Yi."
Yan Baizhou nodded and said, "May I please have your names?"
Kirei walked up to her and said, "Kirei Ren, Kang Lei, Feng Hei Lang."
She lifted up her clipboard and started scribbling down the names when she dropped it. "Ah! I'm so sorry! Give me a second!" She quickly picked it up before finishing. Yan Baizhou nodded in satisfaction when she confirmed their names. "I shall contact Instructor Le Yi right now!"
She closed her eyes and held a hand over her head as her breathing steadied. Feng Hei Lang wondered what she was doing, so she quickly used [Appraisal].

Feng Hei Lang grinned at the information she got. 'Nice! My [Appraisal] now allows me to see their special ability! I guess she's trying to contact Instructor Le Yi right now.'
Yan Baizhou opened her eyes and gave them a large smile. "Instructor Le Yi will instantly be on her way here!"
Just a few minutes after saying that, the door to the office tower was slammed open. Instructor Le Yi was standing there, slightly panting. She immediately walked over to the three of them. "I heard that there was an unexpected emergency with an assassin. Are all of you alright?"
Kirei nodded. "Yes, we are."
She calmed herself down and sighed. "That's a relief. Since you're back safe and sound, where are the herbs and the wolf corpse I requested?"
Feng Hei Lang hurried over and passed the herbs, while Kirei summoned the corpse from his spatial pouch.
Instructor Le Yi picked them up and sucked it into her own spatial pouch. "Very good. You three have succeeded in this mission. Plus two-hundred tallies."

Feng Hei Lang grinned in happiness. 'Now I can get enough meals to last for a while!'
Instructor Le Yi smiled and started walking out towards the office door. "Your classes will resume like normal starting tomorrow morning. You have to meet me in the courtyard first, then you'll be heading over to an assembly to talk about the tournament. Also, Student Hei Lang, Headmaster Zhong Qiu is looking for you. Student Kirei, Her Highness is looking for you."
Kirei froze for a moment. "My siste- I mean, Her Highness, Princess Wang Hua is?"
Instructor Le Yi nodded. Kang Lei nudged him. "Look at that. Lucky you, getting to talk to the princess."
Instructor Le Yi started heading out of the office tower once more. "Don't be late. And all of you, welcome back."
