Chapter 116: Deception or Truth

"How could you even suggest that! This is my child-our child! I want to be in this child's life. If I leave him in your care, he will turn out to be-" She trailed off, not wanting to offend him. 

"You don't want our child to turn out like me." He finished for her.

The aura in the room changed. Both were now on the defensive. Sylvie sat up, and Beleth rolled over, flung the covers off his muscular frame, and stood up. Beatrice sat on the edge of the bed. She had admitted that she loved him, but he was still a demon from hell. 

His life was filled with an eternity of torture, darkness, and punishment. She didn't want her child to be a part of that life. 

"I'm sorry if I offended you." She apologized.
