Chapter 23: Ch 22:Nezuko :D
I can see the sun rising as I step into the compound, greeting those who just arrived from a mission.
"Wake up!~"I happily slid open the door to Tanjiro's room.
He was tossing in his bed while the box containing Nezuko was next to it.
'Oh, it can't hurt to see her once right?.."
I make sure the binds are covering the window before proceeding to knock on her cover.
"Nezuko-chan~"
I was half expecting her to be asleep so I was surprised when it slightly opened.
"You're so cute since the last time I saw you!"I whisper to not wake Tanjiro up as I pat her head gently.
"Mhpm!"
She crawls out of the box to sit on my lap while in kid form.
"Hai~Let me comb your hair."I went through her hair with my fingers, careful to not hurt her if there were any knots.
I hum softly while waiting for Tanjiro to wake up on his own. I move my mask to my upper right as I finish combing her hair.
"How are you so cute?"I snuggle her small body while smiling.
She happily hums in response as she leans on my body.
"When do you think Tanjiro-kun will wake up hmm?"I move my chin onto her head.
It was then I can hear footsteps coming this way. I move my head up to look at the door.
Zenitsu slides the door open to see me crossed-legged hugging Nezuko's small form.
"Morning Zenitsu-kun."I place my finger on my lips to signal not to be so loud.
"Haru-san, good morning!"He whispers while stepping into the room.
"Isn't Nezuko-Chan so cute in this form?"
He gave his usual flower smile while waking up Tanjiro for training. Tanjiro then had to go for training while I was left with Nezuko still on my lap.
"Are you going back to sleep?"I can see her slowly dozing off.
"Mm.."
"Hai~"I pat her head gently while moving her to the now-empty bed.
"Shall I leave you now?"I place her down.
She takes hold of my haori sleeve before I could move away.
"Okay, just for a while until Tanjiro's training comes up.."I sigh in defeat as I couldn't say no to her.
I sit down on the floor as she drifts off to sleep. I hum a soft tune as I wrap my arms around my legs into a ball position, placing my head on my knees.
I can now hear her soft breathing in the room as I stayed until it was time to leave.
"I'm going to increase the laps hehe."I grin evilly as I saw how tired they were.
"14 laps today!"
"Haru-san are you trying to kill us?"Zenitsu was crying while I gave him a sweet-evil smile.
"Perhaps.."I snuck my tongue out at him.
They ran even though Aoi's training had them beat.
"Fufu..You guys will never beat me in stamina."I gave them a smug look when we were done.
I watch as Tanjiro gets beaten up by the Water boys, sweat dropping as they comment on his use of swordsmanship.
"Sabito! Do ease up on the feedback!"
"How about...no."He childish smiles at me.
"Mm, Someone wants to die today huh?"I tilt my head as he backs up a bit.
"No..."
I hum as he runs away with giyuu, escaping from my wrath of a mock battle.
"How about fighting against me Tanjiro?"I look at him to see him looking at me sparkly.
'Eh?-'
"I would love to Haru-san!"
"I meant that was a joke, Tanjiro-kun.."
In the end, I couldn't resist his bubbly nature and gave in to a mock battle. Having me as the winner as I guiltily stare at his tired body.
"Sorry if I went too far Tanjiro-kun."I help him up.
"No no, I was the one who insisted on it."He cheerfully smiles at me as we walk back to the dining room for dinner.
"That reminds me, ever heard of Total Concentration: Constant? I was going to implement it tomorrow for training."
"What's that?"
"It's when you maintain Total Concentration Breathing all day, even as you sleep. All of the Hashiras can do this, increasing their strength, speed and stamina."
"EH!ALL-DAY?!"He cries out as I drop the information on him.
"Mhm, I would be having you guys increase your training by 3 times as you try to break a special type of gourd by blowing into it."I think back to when Shinobu and Kanae would train Kanao by doing this.
He stares at me in shock as we enter the room to see everyone else eating already.
"You guys started without us?"I huff my cheeks due to them eating already.
"Sorry, We thought you would take longer."Aoi got up to get our portions.
"You guys are so mean."I sat next to Shinobu.
"Not our fault you are slow."They all giggle at her remark.
"Shinobu, just whose side are you on."I look at her looking away as she holds in her giggles.
"Anyways don't you have patrol duty tonight?"I ruffle her black-purple hair.
"Yeah I do, unfortunately. I wanted to sleep peacefully tonight."She tiredly sighs.
"Shall I come with you?"I kiss her cheek.
"You would?"She brightens up with my offer.
"How can I say no to that smile?"I playfully poked her cheek.
We finish dinner, heading to the gates to go to the village. I playfully grin at her and intertwine my fingers with hers.
"Let's go!"
She hums in response before looking down to hide her obvious blush.
"What village did you get assigned to?"I was humming as we walk.
"The one that's south from here."
"Oh, you mean that one with the big lake in?"
"Yep!"
