Chapter 28: Ch 27:Demon side
My pov:
"..."
I stare at the phoenix in front of me.
"Sorry?.."I guilty look away as I speak in a soft tone.
"YOU ALMOST GOT KILLED AND THAT'S THE FIRST THING YOU SAY?"
I continue to look away as he continues to rage at me.
"You're lucky my flames can actually heal you!"
"I said I was sorry..."
It's been two days since I woke up with the Phoenix.
"Gosh, I don't get paid enough for this."
"You get paid?"
"It was a figure of speech."
We stare at each other.
"Just how long more until I wake up?"I sigh at him.
"Your body is trying to repair itself, I say about 3 more days."
"Ugh, 3 full days stuck with you? No thanks."
A tick mark formed on his head.
"Ungrateful brat.."He mumbled.
"Excuse you but who hosts you in MY body?"I drew daggers at him.
We continue to bicker until it was 3 days later.
"Finally it's over!"I exclaim.
"Yeah yeah, whatever."
"You better not die again."He glares at me.
"Hai.."I stuck my tongue out.
The room began to light up.
I groan as I slowly open my eyes. They wander about the room before landing on the familiar black to purple hair I knew and loved.
"Shinobu?..."
Her body jolts up as her eyes open to look at me.
"How long was I out?.."I proceed to lift myself.
"God my body aches.."
I place my hand on my already healed up wound.
"Oh my god, you're finally awake!"She immediately hugs me, tears flow down her cheeks, staining my clothing.
"Sorry that I worried you.."I pat her back as I return the hug.
"I thought you were going to die and..and..."She trails off.
"Well, I didn't right?"I chuckle as I try to joke about my injuries.
"But you could!"Her voice raised at me before holding me tighter.
"Sorry.."
As she lets go, she proceeds to do a final check-up on my body.
"Just how did you even survive this?"She scribbles onto her clipboard.
"Ah..guess I should tell everyone huh?"I look down at the end of the bed.
"Could you bring everyone here?"
Shinobu sighs before exiting to call for the Hashiras. The two of us waited for a bit until I could hear running footsteps and yelling from Aoi.
"Haru!!"Mitsuri slit opens the door in a flash and hugged me tightly.
"Mitsuri...I need... to breathe..."I lightly tap her back.
"I thought you were going to die and all...."She continues to ramble on.
"Agh.."My face turns into a light blue before Shinobu had to pry Mitsuri off of me.
"Haa sweet oxygen.."
The rest of the Hashiras came in with worried look and questions for me.
"Wait, Where's Kyojuro-san?"My brows furrowed.
"Ah..He shut himself in his estate when he came back."
I lightly smack my forehead.
"Let's go then."I hopped from the bed.
"Haru! You're still recovering!"Giyuu shouted when I was at the door.
"I am sure my body is already recovered, Let's see who can catch me first before I get to the Flame estate shall we?"
I playful grin at their shocked faces before dashing out with my boots.
"Haru! Get back this instant!"
'Mm, Shinobu is fast but not fast enough' I grin as their shouting get softer as I sprint.

I finally reach the Flame Estate after 5 mins of running non-stop. I went ahead and knocked on it to receive no response.
"Is anyone home?.."
I turn around to look for another way in when I heard the door slide open.
"Oh! You look like a younger version of Kyojuro."I surprisingly commented.
"Oh, You must be Haru-san yes? Brother talks a lot about you."
"Haha, I am flattered.."I scratch the back of my head.
"Mind asking him to come out?"
He shakes his head, "He hasn't come out for some time now and I honestly worried."
"Mm is that so?"A vein pop out on my forehead.
"Hai! Leave it to me then!"I energetically replied.
He lets me in as I walk towards his room with an angry smile.
"Rengoku-san~"
No answer.
"I know you're in there, I can hear your breathing."I knock on his door.
Still no answer.
"Alright, you asked for it."
I slam my foot on the door, making it crash into the room.
"Ren.Go.Ku."I crack my knuckles.
"Haru..."He looks terrified at the smashed door then at me.
I smile at him with my eyes closed.
"I told everyone to come to the Butterfly Estate, did I not?"I walk slowly towards him.
I drag his body as I walk back to the Butterfly Estate. I hum as the building comes into view.
"Alright now that everyone is here!"I open the door to see the rest of the Hashira waiting for me, staring at their friend behind me.
"Let's get into the information I need to tell everyone."My tone now serious as I let go of Kyojuro's shirt collar.
I sat on the bed as the Hashiras surround me.

"And that's about it."I close my eyes as I finish telling my story.
The other Hashiras were quiet as I open one eye to look at their faces.
"All this time, you were part demon?"Shinobu asks.
"Yeah..I know that you guys may think different of me now and—."
"So I was worried for no reason?"Shinobu cuts me off and gave me her signature closed eye death smile.
"Ah..I—"I back up.
"Ha.ru"
"Please don't kill me.."Tears came out as she walks towards me.
"Guys help—"
The other Hashiras look away from me as they didn't want to get caught up in the warfare.
~After a well-deserved beating—~
Tears stream down my face as I stare at the floor with a dead smile.
'Shinobu-san is really scary when angry..'The other Hashiras thought as they look at my beatings.
"Anyways with that out of the way, should we let master know about this ?"Shinobu was facing away from me as she wrote something down.
"Mm, I think it's a good idea!"Kyojuro replied with his usual energetic smile.
"Mm, seems like someone has gotten back to normal instead of being a sulking mess."I giggle as he looks away from me.
"Ah before everyone goes, can you face away from me as I do something?"I got up from the bed.
The Hashiras confusing agreed as they did what I asked.
I placed my hand on their hands to give some of my flames to them.
"What did you do Haru?"Mitsuri confusedly asks as she looks at the others.
"The Hino clan has a core for lava breathing, one of my perks of is that I can give my flames to other people.
"What I gave was a piece of my black flames to each of you, It enhances the body while protecting it."
"I hope that it doesn't need to be used but just in case."I wink at them as I leave the room.
