Chapter 9: Face off
" HAHAH-HAHAHAHAHAHA, blood- blood...how long since I felt this pleasure ",
A demonic figure laughed before turning his gaze away from a pale-looking corpse before him. His eyes were notably bloodshot and are a pale blue color, with visible veins lining his sclera.
He was relatively tall and muscular with red dots all over his body and had unruly black hair. His skin tone was bluish.
while leaving his upper body naked, he wore a navy coloured pants that were fastened at his shins with white
kyahan guards.
*thud...
Suddenly some footsteps sounded behind him, causing him to turn back.
" Master ",
The figure who appeared behind him muttered before throwing some human corpse in front of him, bowing down, showing his loyalty.
He has a muscular body with a height reaching 12 feet and black spiky hair, giving him the appearance of a battle psycho and surprisingly, the figure has four inward-tilting yellow eyes with red eyelashes and blue sclera that looked somewhat like cracked glass as well as four arms.
His skin is so fair that appears bright green-tingled white, with a pattern of thick red lines.
He sported a pair of baggy white pants that he rolled to just below the knee and secured with a blue rope belt around. his wais, leaving his upper part exposed.
" WONDERFUL, Yui...you are the best servant ever, kekeke",
Yui's master laughed before patting his shoulder, appreciating him for his efforts.
Yui raised his head in delight as it was the first time, his master praised him.
After serving for 5 years, the day had come when his dream came true, the dream of being praised by his master. The royalty and hard work he had shown all paid off, at this time he felt like, he had accomplished his goal.
" Get up, Yui, we still have more work to do ",
A voice echoed his Yui's ears as the latter snapped out of his thought and lowered his head before saying
" Hai-master ".
' Now~Now, from which human should I begin with ',
Yui's master looked at the human corpses brought by Yui and thought with an evil smile over his face before deciding to go with the young one.
" YOU DAMN DEMONNNS!, STOP, DON'T TRY TO HURT
HIM ",
As Yui's master was about to penetrate a young-corpse body with his index finger, A loud voice entered his ears as the latter turned his face toward the source and found a young girl standing a little far away from him.
Yui who was about to leave heard this voice and came to a halt before looking at the young girl with pity in his eyes, for demons humans are nothing but just a source of growth and powers.
' How annoying, I don't like any disturbance during my dinner and yet this foolish girl ',
Yui's master thought with a little annoyed expression over his face and looked at the girl for a moment before realising something.
" To think that a mere girl would come here all by herself, she is certainly a fool or should I named it brave...but it doesn't matter, after-all there no difference in fool and a weakling with brave nature ",
Yui's master muttered and laughed at the last part.
*splash...
Suddenly two long and sharp tentacles emerged from his back, the tentacles were red as if made of blood.

" kekeke ",
Yui's master laughed and directed one of the tentacles toward her, intending to kill her before absorbing her blood.
*squeak...
As the young girl saw sharp red tentacles approaching her at such a speed that her eyes could barely keep up, she clenched her fist and stood there with a firm expression over her face.
she was already seeing it, her death and as the tentacles approached her, a flashback of her life flashed before her eyes.
' This is?... ',
her eyes widened as she started to perceive what was happening to her.
' Is this what the people see before they die? ',
The girl thought with emotion in her eyes as the latter couldn't help but cry, tears began to flow from her alluring eyes.
' Anata, soon I will be joining you...*sniff...please forgive me for *sniff...not being able to protect you...sniff ',
[ A.N: The term Anata is sometimes used by married couples to refer to their partner ]
*CLANG...
A clashing of metal sounds echoed in the girl's ears as she quickly regained her senses and looked around in shock.
' I didn't die? ',
This was the first thought that came to her mind, and also, to her surprise, an old man was standing in front of her, holding a long and sharp-edged sword in his right hand.
" Are you hurt anywhere? young girl ",
Kurayami inquired before fixing his gaze on Yui's master who stood a little further away from him and had an annoyed expression over his face.
" I- 'm fine ".
" Then, run away from this place as far as possible NOW!... I don't want to drag an innocent in this fight ",
Hearing the girl's response, Kurayami advised the girl to flee from this place while also stating his intention.
The girl on the other side heard kurayami's words and took a look at the young corpses beside the demon, holding back her emotions, she clenched her fist before turning around and running away.
" Oye-oye, what's up with that heroic entry?...you could just run away like the others...I'm not interested in absorbing defective blood, you know? ",
Yui's master said casually while making an arrogant face, crossing his arms, he looked at the old man with a hint of displeasure in his eyes. This was the second time today that someone has disturbed him while having his dinner.
" Master, the old man looks powerful and I'm sure he has some relation with the demon-slayer corps ",
Yui stood behind his master and expressed concern.
" So what?, isn't all humans were fodder to us including that old-geezer?...prepare yourself for a battle Yui, who knows if he has some tricks up his sleeves ",
after saying, Yui's master opened his right hand as blood started to rush out from his 5 fingers, and in a blink of an eye, it took a shape of a scythe.
*thud...thud...
Looking at the two demons in front of him, Kurayami tightened his grip on the sword's hilt before taking a few steps forward, closing the gap between him and the demons.
" KEKEKE, You've got a lot more guts than I thought ",
Yui's master laughed before instructing Yui to finish the old man for him and as his servant, Yui obeyed his master's order and dashed at the Kurayami while keeping his four eyes fixed on him.
*squeak...
He clenched his fist to put more output in the punch as he wanted to finish this quickly.
" Ha..",
Watching a demon dashing toward him with the intention of killing, Kurayami didn't seem to be panicked instead he took a deep breath and closed his eyes.
And at the next second when he opened his eyes, the grey-coloured eyes had completely changed as his pupils were now red giving him the appearance of a predator.
