'But in case Jia Li takes a fancy to Fang Yuan and this works then I would have to deepen my relationship with Fang Yuan and keep him satisfied. I will have to use both the carrot and stick approach, on one hand, I will have to show Fang Yuan the might of the Mo Clan and on the other hand, I will have to provide him some benefits. Otherwise, it may backfire and through Fang Yuan, the Jia Clan may end up swallowing my Mo Clan. While the possibility of that happening is low it is not entirely non-existent. Of course, being a Gu Yue clansmen Fang Yuan would not allow something like that to happen as it will affect the strength of the entire village but still it is better to be cautious and be prepared for the worst.' The more Mo Yan thought, the messier her thoughts became. She glanced at Fang Yuan who was beside her and at her friend who was following behind them.
The friend following them was a teammate of hers, she's a beautiful woman who recently got married. As Mo Yan was in a hurry and this teammate of hers was the only beautiful woman nearby, Mo Yan had dragged her along, as Mo Yan has not seen Jia Li in person she is not sure if her friend could beat her in terms of beauty. It's not that Mo Yan is not confident in her beauty but as this is an important matter she decided to come prepared. If Fang Yuan was here to meet Jia Li and their meeting went well, then Mo Yan was prepared to have this friend of her sleep with Fang Yuan and show to him that by staying loyal to Mo Clan he would not only get cultivation resources but also such benefits this was her so-called carrot. As for the stick, she would let her grandpa handle that side.
Meanwhile, Mo Yan's friend was completely clueless about the plans Mo Yan had made for her.
And like that three people with completely different thoughts in their head reached Jia Li's place behind the rock gambling tent.

NewWhite Guys, I know that the pace of the novel is a bit slow and a lot of you are saying Fang Yuan is still only rank one. But guys you need to understand that he only joined the academy after chapter 30. And in the original too he became rank two only around chapter 100. But still, if you guys want then maybe I will try to insert a time skip somewhere in the future chapters.
