Chapter 2: Chapter 2: The Systems Skills
"Rahhhhh" Cain shouts as he leaps at me and punches me in the gut. He's so fast that I can barely see him. Then I hear a ding in my head. The system screen pops up displaying HP. Damn I already lost half my HP leaving me with only 5. I don't know what to do until he suddenly kicks me. I only have 1 HP now. I'm starting to lose my conciseness. "Hahahaha what are you going to do now puny human." Ugh I can't even concentrate over his taunting. Hahahahaha then I hear more laughing coming from offstage. Damn it won't they all shut up! I see Cain run at me again, but I can't even move. At this point I accept my defeat. I take one final punch to the face and get knocked out.
In my conciseness I see the systems screen again. Except this time it says something strange: "failed to defeat high level opponent no exp gained. Staying at level 1. Acquiring new passive skill scan." This is new I didn't know how to gain passive skills but maybe there sort of like trophies where you will have to complete certain objectives. As I start to regain consciousness I see myself in what seems to be a doctors office. 'Open system' I click on the skills tab and there it is scan. I decide to press on it to see if it will give me a run down on what it does. Let's see it says "Able to use whenever this skill will auto lock onto the closest person and tell you their HP as well as magic." Well that's going to be useful.
I try getting up and encounter no problems. Then the door opens where a female doctor walks in. She has short blonde hair, brown eyes, fair skin, and looks to be around five feet ten inches. "Oh, I see you're awake now." She sounds kind of annoyed. "Well if you're all better go walk to the D class area." 'Great why did it have to be D class. If you don't know there four classes ranked from top to bottom they are A, B, C, and D. The A class is for the best fighters, while the B class second best. C class third best and finally D class. The class for the worst of the worst.
I knew I did badly, but was it that badly? Luckily there's one option. If you do well enough in mock battles and training you can move your class up and take another classes spot. Though I'm still disappointed. I walk down the hallway into what seems to be the D class area. While walking I come across a door. This must be homeroom, right? And so I walk in and instantly feel disappointed. There's only about 8 kids! I turn and see the teacher. He seems to be in his mid forties. "Ah, you must be Eli. Come on in." I walk in and see a familiar face. It's the boy that was in the car with me and Dave. "Ok now introduce yourself." The teacher seems very uptight for some reason "Hello everybody my name is Eli and I hope we can get along. The peoples names are Lola the fairy, Odre the ogre, Tom the human, Neko the cat-person, Refurgo the lion-person, Ross the vampire, Nen the human, and last but not least Sildur the dryad.
Lola is a female fairy with straight pink hair down to her waist and yellow eyes. Odre is a male ogre with wavy black hair and dark brown eyes. Tom is the guy I met on the car ride. He has curly dark blonde hair and brown eyes. Neko is a female black cat. Which means she has black cat ears and green eyes. Refurgo is a male lion-person with a shaved head with little stubs of dark red hair and golden eyes. Ross is a male vampire with a black mohawk and red eyes. Nen is a female human with brown hair to her shoulders and hazel eyes. Sildur is a female dryad with green hair and dark green eyes. And the teachers name is Mr. U.
"You may sit wherever you want." Mr. U said. I decide to sit next to Tom. 'Scan.' As soon as I thought scan the system scanned Tom. 'Let's see,'

From what I can tell he's very weak. Now I see why he was nervous. He's a human without magic. "Alright class, today we will have mock battles. This will help us teachers decide what you need to work on and how strong you are already." Mr. U says excitedly. Okay this time I have an idea. I'll try to use my blood and control skills. Me and my eight classmates follow Mr. U outside the classroom. We were walking down the hallway when we came to a stop in front of two large doors. "These are the doors to the training center for class D."
As I walk in I'm instantly amazed. In front of me is a huge boxing ring where I can assume we're having mock battles. "Alright would anyone want to go first?" Mr. U says. I raise my hand hoping to be able to try out my skills. "Hahaha, you really think you can do anything Eli. Refurgo laughs. "Then would you like to fight me Refurgo?" I say very confidently. "What can he do? He didn't land one hit on Cain." Of course there's murmuring off stage. "Hmph, fine I'll fight you but don't cry when you lose." Refurgo sounds very pissed. "Alright then the match between Refurgo and Eli will start now." Mr. U shouts very loud despite his small height. I decide before the match to scan him.

Damn he has a lot of HP. It's literally triple mine. Well time to get ready. "Alright everyone ready? Then 3, 2, 1, START!" Mr. U said. Cain starts running at me very fast, and then I shout: "Leech!" "What was that trying to scare me with some fake-ass abili- ahhhhh." Blood starts to come out of Refurgos eyes, ears, and nose. "What was that?! I thought he didn't have an ability! Nen shouts from offstage. "I recognize that that's a Dryad ability called leech!" Sildur shouts. "Huh, but I thought he was human!" Nen says. "Then the reports have to be wrong." Sildur said. Was he just faking losing to Cain then? Nen asks.
*Ding* the system screen appears in front of my face. "Tip: you can use control to control the blood and change its shape. The blood will take form of whatever you think of." "Oh well that's going to be helpful." Next second I try what the system recommended "Control!" All of a sudden the blood that spilled on the floor started to create a ball in front of my face. 'ten daggers.' I think to myself and as soon as I do the ball of blood turns into ten floating daggers. 'Fire!' I think to myself and then the daggers shoot forward at an amazing speed and plunge into Refurgo. "Aghhhhhhh." Refurgo shouts as he collapses to the floor. "Hey, hey, wasn't that two abilities?" Nen asks Sildur. "Yeah those were two abilities of Blood and Control. Not only that, but only dryads can use two abilities. The other races can't. Which means this guys definitely not human. Even then only high ranking dryads or those who have trained for a long time can use two. This guys a monster!" Sildur sounds really shocked and amazed to Nen.
"The match is over! The winner is Eli!"
