Chapter 2: Trouble
I don't cause trouble, trouble finds me. I'm just an innocent victim of situations.
Like right now. I was simply walking to my first class on the first day of my college when my path was blocked by a commotion happening.
Apparently, a guy was being beaten up and everyone found it amusing.
What even!?
So I did what I had to do... I moved to the front of the crowd to see the issue. A pretty tall guy with stiff black muscles and awesome blond hair was facing towards a thin boy who seemed too scared and shocked to move.
A husky smooth voice bloomed through the hallway 'Do you have any idea who I am? Do you know how much this jacket costs?! Fucking peasants!' The blondie was speaking to the scared boy.
I nudged the stranger standing beside me and asked him what they were fighting about.
The scared had boy dropped coffee on blondie by mistake. It was a stupid reason to fight… just bullying. But I wouldn't speak a word against it.
Suddenly blondie's back stiffened even further (i don't even know how that's possible) and he turned around and his electric violet eyes zeroed in on me! Don't ask me why?!
He had really good eyes.
'For someone who looked so mature, he sure acted like a high school bully!'
I hadn't realized I said that out loud until those pretty violet eyes turned a shade darker, his eyes narrowing and with that same weird voice that made me hot, he said or rather challenged me to repeat myself 'What. Did you just say'
Like I said- I don't cause trouble, trouble finds me.
Who am I to back down from a challenge… that also against an immature jerk with a gorgeous face.
'I said that you are a jerk who should probably be taught some manners and go for anger management counseling!'
I had always been known for my perfect comebacks and verbal threats.
I smirked. He obviously isn't used to being called out for his odd behaviour
'Why don't you pick on someone your own size!' I said moving a little forward, this was my area of expertise. I was going to win, at least i thought so until I saw his eyes turn lethal. Literally.
Why is it always me!?
'Like who? You?' he sneered at me looking me up and down. Sure I was just 5' 4" but that doesn't mean I can't fight.
You can't! You idiot!
My inner voice said...
But he doesn't have the right to judge me based on how i looked!
'Sure I can'
He raised an eyebrow like he was just amused. I'll show him who he is messing around with!
I punched him in the face.
Ouch! Are you happy now!
My inner voice started to chastise me for what I had done but didn't get much further because in an instant I was pushed to the ground.
That giant of a man had his one hand pinning both my hands stretched above my head, the other hand around my back, and the rest of his lower half glued over me. It took me a moment to register how close we actually were, his mouth just inches from me. I couldn't help but look at his lips wondering how he would feel pressed against me for different reasons. He was literally my dream guy.
He was hot and screamed sexy. He had ruffled up just made out with someone sex hair which suited him so well.
'You see Mate, I can take you down anytime I want. Don't interrupt me ever again! I'm just leaving you be because you are a girl. Try something like this again and you won't be so lucky!'
He did not just say what I heard!
But before I could explain to him that just because I'm a girl I shouldn't be treated differently and verbally humiliate him, he screamed to the crowd to get lost and they did. Then he went off too. I was too stunned to move, still stuck to the ground with the goosebumps his touch left behind.
This had never happened to me before! The goosebumps, finding someone sexy, being speechless most of all losing!!!
I was brought back to reality by the hand that shot up to help me. The scared boy.
I stood up without his help.
'Thank you!' he said solemnly. A rosy pink color filled his cheeks.
'It's cool' I didn't really know anyone here so might as well 'What's your name?'
'Jace, and yours?'
'Taisa'
