Chapter 101: 101 Being A Model?
"You, be a model for our shoot," A man with a height of nearly 6 feet and a muscular body to match it shouted looking at…
"I refuse," Yuuya answered looking over his shoulder.
And just like that another conflict has been triggered.
"Hikari-san, what happened?" And then a woman with wavy brown hair came in a hurry.
"Nothing Miu-chan, I just found a perfect model for our shoot," Hikari looked at Yuuya at the end.
"Marin let's go (to the sweet street)," Yuuya had no time to pay attention to anything else right now. But…
"Miu-san!!" Marin recognized Miu and it seemed that the latter also knew her.
"Marin-chan, what are you doing here?" Miu asked in surprise.
"You know her Miu-chan?" Hikari asked but his eyes were set on Yuuya and he wasn't looking away.
"Ah, Yes Hikari-san, Marin-chan is also a model working with our agency, you might've not worked with her yet, Marin-chan this is Hikari-san, he is one of the best photographers in our agency," Miu introduced the two with a smile.
"Hello, My name is Kitagawa Marin and I am an amateur model working with Star Production, Nice to meet you Hikari-san," Marin greeted Hikari in her usual manner making him narrow his eyes.
"Even if you are an amateur model, why have I not heard of you when you are like this?" Hikari looked confused as most of the models he took photos for in the agency were like Marin, Bright and cheerful so it was a bit absurd he didn't know of her.
"That's because Marin-chan works part-time and her style of work is different from Hikari-san's," Miu said as Hikari nodded in understanding and then…
"Leaving that aside, You! Work with us," Hikari went back to Yuuya.
"I have no experience," Yuuya was getting tired of this already.
"It doesn't matter, I'll guide you," Hikari said while looking at Yuuya from different sides.
"Hikari-san wants Yuuya to work as a model?" Marin looked confused as it looked like something went wrong. She looked at Miu's face and it was easy to understand.
Miu was supposed to have a shoot with a male model but that guy was running late for an hour without telling a thing to the agency or to the staff on the set.
"What?! How can he be so unprofessional? He is totes the worst," After hearing what happened Marin was pissed, she hadn't worked with another model yet but she had seen how strict their schedules were, especially for those who were full-time models.
Miu can't do the shoot on her own since the concept was 'Modern couples' so, they needed a male model to accompany her.
And since there was no one on the set that they use as a stand-in with Miu, Hikari started to look around the crowd in hopes of finding someone that can match her in visuals (Looks).
"Well, we haven't been able to contact him, but I guess it must've been a serious situation," Miu shook her head in dismay, Marin and Hikari sighed after hearing this.
"I see, so that is why Hikari-san called out to Yuuya," Marin nodded while looking at Yuuya, Hikari nodded like he was proud of himself for spotting him.
"No," Yuuya said flatly before Hikari could even speak.
'Shooting someone down before they even speak, that's just like him,' Marin laughed as she had been on the receiving end of this treatment a few times. But seeing it happen to someone else was a bit funny.
"Marin we need to go or the line will get longer," Yuuya said looking at his phone, What Yuuya was looking at was the real-time photos of an ice cream shop dubbed as the best ice cream shop in Ikebukuro.
It was on Sweet Street like Marin said before, and since it was a weekend, Yuuya wasn't keen on stopping by here, because the line would only get bigger in the meantime.
"Ah, are you guys going somewhere?" Miu asked Marin who nodded quickly.
"Yeah we were going to Sweet Street to have some ice cream," Marin had no intentions of persuading Yuuya seeing that he has refused to work as a temporary model, she might keep pestering him on her own but…
'That's only if I know he won't mind,' Which clearly wasn't the case here, Yuuya seemed like he had no interest in this.
"Oh, sorry for stopping you," Miu said with a smile.
"No problem," Marin didn't particularly mind it, But as Yuuya and Marin were about to leave.
"You boy said, you wouldn't work with Miu-chan as a model, right?" Hikari said and Yuuya didn't even answer, his attention was on his phone.
"You leave me no choice, I will have to use my final move," Hikari pulled out two coupons that were laminated "Two passes for the sweet street that allows you to avoid lining up at any shop."
"What? There was something like that?" Marin was shocked to hear this and looked to her right.
"Yuuya?" Yuuya turned around and walked up to Hikari.
"I'll be under your guidance," Yuuya spoke to Hikari while taking the coupons.
"Hoho, Make no worries, I'll make your charm explode to a new level," Hikari laughed heartily and the photo shoot began.
"Elegant but sexy,"
"Closer, yeah a bit sexier,"
"Look at each other more,"
Hikari kept on shouting phrases while taking photos.
'So this is how Hikari-san takes pictures, it is completely different,' This was Marin's first time seeing a photographer like this, all of her photographers were silent while doing their work, they only spoke when they needed to tell Marin about changing her poses or when the shoot ended.
"Look at the camera and growl like a lion,"
"Not happening," Yuuya answered back as usual.
"Tch thought it would work when you're in the flow," Hikari clicked his tongue since his plan has failed.
"You are doing great Yuuya-san, is it really your first time?" Miu asked as she gave him a water bottle.
"I am just listening to the photographer," Yuuya spoke in his usual tone, and Hikari who was nearby heard it.
"You are totally not listening to me at all," He quipped making the staff and Miu laugh since it was true, Yuuya only heard what he wanted to.
"Miu-san," Yuuya called out to Miu after Hikari went back to check on some new outfits.
"Ah, yes," Miu looked over, she didn't know why Yuuya was called her.
"Can I ask you some questions about your agency?"
"Alright, we'll do a cross-armed pose next, After that we're changing outfits," But before Miu could answer Hikari came back and started the shoot again.
'It's not fair,' Marin was looking at the shoot from the sidelines and was having a tough time controlling her facial expression.
'His face looks so cute when he poses for the camera!! That slight awkwardness is so killer, And all of the clothes suit him, what is this creature? How is that possible? I wanna dress him up so bad, No, I'll definitely dress him up later, I totes have to,' Marin was shaking thinking of how good of a day it would be to take Yuuya to a clothing store and dress him up in various clothes.
Marin knew Yuuya would probably have the same dead look, just like how it was now, but…
'Cute!!' Marin nearly let out a weird smile there, but then her focus went back to the shoot where the scene changed.
Yuuya was sitting on the sofa with Miu's head on his lap looking up at his face.
As the concept of the shoot was 'Modern Couples' there were many photos taken in a way that showed the intimacy between two people, so photos of Miu hugging Yuuya from behind or holding hands or hugging his arm, and along those lines were taken.
'Why? It should've been me, not her,' Marin had a strong urge to beat the ground and shout at the sky, but she controlled herself as this was only a photo shoot.
'Also it would be very weird if I ask to replace Miu-san,' Marin coughed and started to reason with herself in her own mind.
And, while she was lost in her thoughts the shoot concluded. Yuuya went to changing room currently while…
"The photos came out really well," Miu gasped in surprise looking at the camera while Hikari was scrolling through the photos.
Miu thought that they would find it hard to get a lot of great shots since Yuuya had the same expression, it didn't change the whole time. But to her surprise, there were too many great shots.
"Yeah, Hikari-san you are a great photographer, Like the best I have seen," Marin was also looking at the shots in surprise, the angles and lighting of the photos were too on point, and Hikari seemed really good at capturing the key moments.
"I won't deny that, but the main reason it is this good is because of the two models mesh well together," Hikari said as his eyes were still fixed on the camera.
"How?" Even Miu seemed confused by this, she had no idea about it.
