Chapter 25: Chapter 25

There was a split lull in the fight as the Ogremon died and Raremon and Black Greymon had their attention fixed on her.

"Both of you, hit the Raremon!" you snapped out an order to your two remaining digimon instantly. There was no such thing as a free action in your mind.

"Ogremon!" the Greymon screamed in shock before its eyes narrowed in fury, flames.

Gatomon blitzed it before it could unleash its flames though. "Lightning Paw!" Near instantly she was in its body area, smashing a lightning infused fist into its jaw. The blow was so powerful it put the massive dino right off its feet, shaking the ground as its back smashed into the ground.

The Raremon reared up, something acidic green spilling from its mouth and went to attack them both.

Only for Devidramon and your own Black greymon to step forth, stealth dropping from around them as they unleashed their own attacks.

"Dark Gale!"

"Mega Flame!"

The fire and storm attacks fused together to create a near hurricane of flame that smashed into the Raremon drawing a high pitched groan of agony from the beast as it was ploughed into one of the walls and eroded away at by the sea of flame.

And freeing Gatomon up to flip in mid air and come down, legs outstretched, "Neko Kick!" she declared, smashing an axe kick into the Black Greymon's chest so hard the ground beneath it cratered inwards.

It groaned in agony, then burst into black data like Ogremon before it.

"Finish it off!" you ordered Devidramon and Black Greymon. No use in giving it the chance to counter attack.

"Mega Flame!"

"Dark Gale!"

On your orders, they followed up with another combined storm of flame that utterly wiped the Raremon out of existence as if it were never there in the first place, the only evidence left behind being the massive scorch marks on the walls and the near ocean of grey data floating through the area.

You frowned. "Wasn't there supposed to be a Data Eater somewhere around here?"

Could it be, that it's in deeper? Odd though, Eater's generally were attracted to large influxes of data, so what could be more interesting to one than the three champion's that were just outright brawling in the beginning of Kowloon level 1?

You eyed the left over data from the three defeated champion's more focused on the data of Raremon. Raremon were cyborg digimon, so it should fill part of the requirements for Black Greymon to hit Metal Greymon, and maybe even for Devidramon to reach Megadramon or Gigadramon.

You should really look into the information online about digimon and the Ultimate level.

Still, you spent fifty thousand yen earlier, so a couple eggs to put up for sale wouldn't be too bad.

Lifting up your digivice, you scanned half the data of the Ogremon and Black Greymon, just enough to get a pair of Pagumon and Tsunomon eggs.

To your surprise though, you ended up getting Ogremon's Supreme King Fist and Black Greymon's Great Antler attacks as skills. "That's fucking awesome!" you gushed, pumping a fist.

After celebrating, you turned to your digimon, Gatomon specifically first, since you already decided to have the other two out take Raremon's data. "Do you want any of this?" you asked. You know she wanted to repay the others first before getting any more, but best to ask anyway since she took the two out herself.

And wasn't that amazing? Seeing your cute little Gatomon smack around and obliterate a giant ogre and giant dinosaur.

"No thank you," she shook her adorable little head, "As I said before boss, I would like to repay my brothers and comrades in arms for their help before I partake in any more data."

Well alrighty then.

"Alright you two," you turned to the other two and gestured to all the data floating about, "Absorb it all!"

When they were done and buffed up a little from munching on the buffet of data, you returned them all and brought out Garurumon, slinging yourself up onto his back once he bent down a bit.

"Can you smell anything else buddy?" you asked your lupine digimon.

The massive blue wolf raised his snout into the air and give a few sniffs. He kept sniffing the air for a good thirty seconds before stopping and turning his attention back to you, "Quite a few boss, I smell some digimon, a bunch of humans and something really odd that I can't get a figure on."

That might be the Data Eater.

"Right then," you decided, "Take me to where that odd smell is buddy, we're gonna hunt us a Data Eater!" you declared.

"Right!" Garurumon barked, and then took off at a speed that would make formula one cars look like snails.

You travelled on Garurumon for a few minutes, and that was something conisdering how fast he was. Most places were empty, except for some branch off paths that had some digimon hiding out in them, though you weren't interested in them at the moment.

It wasn't until you and Garurumon reached the very final area of Kowloon Level 1, just a bridge leading out into a massive circular platform that you found anything.

Littering the bridge were the downed bodies of what you knew to be hackers from the Demon group. One of the most psychotic groups of hackers about, always hiding their faces behind opera masks, and clad in dark hoodies with purple zippers and trim.

And it was there you found it.

A Data Eater. And my god was it ugly. It was like the bastard love child of a snail, a shrimp, a squid and slug. It looked like something right out of Lovecraft.

And to your further surprise. Someone was facing off against it. A stacked redhead girl clad in a tight yellow t-shirt, criminally short black skirt that barely hid anything, and yellow thigh high stockings just to complete the fetishist image.

Man, no wonder you were turning into a redhead kinda guy. At her side, was a Sunflowmon floated in the air, eyeing the monstrosity it was facing off against warily
