Chapter 34: Ch. 34
"Dulio-san, maybe you should help a bit?" Griselda asks Dulio who was sunbathing.
"Can't you guys beat that beast? I thought you guys were the strongest exorcists." Dulio lazily said.
"That might be true but we don't have our respective weapons and have to resort to normal weapons. And besides this beast is an ultimate class who have huge magic and physical resistance." Vasco replied while dodging the beasts' tentacle's attack while using his fists to attack.
Dulio stared at them before turning his eyes to the tentacle monster before remembering a certain doujinshi that he read.
"Uhh, I think you guys could handle it just fine." He said before returning to sunbathing.
"Dulio!" Ewald shouted at him in anger making Dulio roll his eyes before casting a light spear and attacking the tentacle beast.
"It will not work!" Diethelm reminded him.
"At least I tried." Dulio shrugged his shoulders.
Griselda shook her head before imbuing light energy into her sword and slicing one of its tentacles.
Although it has physical and magical resistance, it has its limit.
"You should have gone for the head!" Diethelm said to her.
"Gaaahh!" Ewald was hit in his abdomen by the tentacles.
Diethelm was the team's healer due to his sacred gear, Holy Resuscitation.
Similar to the Sacred Gear Twilight Healing, Holy Resuscitation can heal others, however, unlike the latter, it can only heal those related to Heaven.
Diethelm immediately dragged him out of the battlefield and healed him.
"Let's wait for Ewald to heal and try to combine our powers and aim for the head," Griselda told them her plan.
"If only I have my sacred gear with me." Dulio sadly said. Earlier before entering the dimension, his sacred gear was automatically sealed.
"I'm already fine," Ewald said before getting up.
"Let's go!" Griselda shouted before imbuing all her light energy to her sword and using it as an anchor to release a strong beam of light.
Vasco coated his fists with his full powered light energy while Ewald also imbued his sword in light energy.
Meanwhile, Dulio created a spinning disc with his full light energy making shine so brightly that it looks like a mini sun.
Diethelm stayed back. Although he knew how to attack using light energy, healing is his forte, so he'll stay back and watch and if someone gets injured he'll use his all to heal them.
"Yossshh!" Griselda grinned after seeing her team was ready.
She decided to be the lead and dashed forward and released the beam towards the head of the tentacle beast Ewald also did the same and release the beam of his sword.
Vasco dashed behind the tentacle monster and barraged the beast with his punches.
"Muda! Muda! Muda! Muda! Muda!...."
*Splat* x69
Although it was effective, the beast also has high regeneration.
Meanwhile, Dulio delivered the final blow. "Retreat!" He shouted while Griselda, Ewald, and Vasco did as he said.
Dulio let out his chuuni side and shouted, "Spinning Disc of Death!" Before throwing the spinning disc on his palm.
The disc speedily flew towards the beast's neck.
*Slash*
The disc sliced through its neck like cutting butter with a knife.
The beast's neck was separated from its head but the team didn't lower their guard, they were waiting for the beast to regenerate.
Once 5 minutes has passed with silence, Dulio finally broke the ice.
"C'mon guys, it's not like it can regenerate its head, right?" Everyone suddenly stared at him.
"What?" Dulio confusedly asks before a look of realization spreads on his face.
"Ohhhh. I just raised a flag, didn't I?" Dulio embarrassedly said while scratching the back of his head.
Vasco shook his head before walking toward the beast's corpse and slicing one of its tentacles.
Seeing that it didn't regenerate, they all sighed in relief.
(3rd PoV)
'Shit! Shit! Shit! It wasn't supposed to be like this!' Kokabiel was sweating bullets when he first heard the features of the huge screen in front of him.
'This screen doesn't have this function, last time!' Kokabiel mentally cursed in his mind.
'Tsk doesn't matter, it's not like the satans could intervene once their sisters were killed and I'm sure Azazel will fight back once those sis-cons tried to attack us, it will also start the great war once again! Muahahaha!' Kokabiel finally realizes the opportunity of this screen.
'Now, no one could blame me for starting the great war again, the blame will be placed on those sis-cons.' Kokabiel mentally smirks.
He looked at his side and saw Azazel looking at him while smiling.
"What?" Kokabiel asks.
"...Nothing." Azazel shook his head and replied.
'Tsk, weird.' Kokabiel mentally thought.
(3rd PoV)
"Have you found them?" Raynare asks Mittelt who just got back from scouting the area.
"Nope. Though I see some beasts." Mittelt replied.
"We don't need beasts, we need the location of the devils." Raynare was annoyed, they'd been searching around for 10 hours and all they got were beasts.
"Hmpf, those devils are lucky that we can't find them, or else, they'd be dead by now." The one who said that was Dohnaseek who was the lookout of the team.
"KieKekekeke, I wonder what the Sorcerer's blood tastes like?" Freed maniacally laughed.
"Hmf, you dirty dog." Kalawarna glared at Freed who just maniacally laughed more.
"Kiekakakaka, yes, a dog's blood tastes delicious," Freed replied while laughing making Kalawarna annoyed.
"You bastard! If we're not a team right now, I'd kill you long ago you filthy human." Kalawarna yelled and they continued bickering until Raynare stopped them.
"Shhhh! I hear something!" Raynare said while looking around while the others did the same.
Kalawarna and Freed glared at each other before turning their heads and huffing.
"This way!" They heard a girl's voice and when they look at the source, they were a bit shocked.
(Rias PoV)
"Nigerundayo!" Sairaorg shouted before dashing off followed by everyone.
While running, I looked back and saw hordes of beasts chasing us with an ultimate class beast leading them.
"Damn! I told you we shouldn't have poked that nest." Sona cursed for the first time shocking everyone.
"What?" Sona glared at them while her glasses shone.
"We were just curious" I replied to her.
"Well, like what they say, Curiosity killed the cat but in this case Curiosity killed the devil," Sona said before casting <Tidal Wave> at the horde of beasts.
Although it won't do much, it will at least push and slow them back.
(3rd PoV)
"RIAS! DO SOMETHING!" The lazy devil who was running with them earlier was finally caught up by the beasts.
"I-I..." Fear spread across Rias's face, this is her first time leading someone for real and someone already died.
"You can do this, Rias!" Rias muttered to herself before stopping.
Sona and Sairaorg were shocked by her actions, "Rias! What are you doing!" Sona yelled at her.
"You guys should run! I-I'll hold them back." Rias said with a determined expression.
Surprisingly, Sairaorg also stopped and faced the beasts, "I can't let you face this alone, cousin." He looked at her with a warm expression.
"...You guys." Sona sighed in defeat before also stopping.
"How am I gonna face my sister if I leave you here alone." Sona sighed again before chuckling.
Rias was a bit shocked before feeling a bit warm for joining her for this.
"Let's do this!" Rias said while an aura of destruction surrounded her.
A white aura blasted out of Sairaorg, activating his Touki.
Meanwhile, Sona was already making strategies on how to fight them while also planning a plan to escape in case they were overwhelmed.
