Chapter 2: Two
"CaoMei! What are you doing today? I'm bored, I need to explore the different realms that I've heard so much about," Li Jing begged her friend.
"Li Jing we can't, we aren't powerful enough yet, we must continue our duties for another one thousand years," CaoMei reminded her.
"Yes, I know that already. But I feel I already have control of my gifts. Watch this," Li Jing boasted, as she elegantly danced, waving her arms and hands over the flowers and trees making them bloom with such beauty and fragrance.
"Li Jing, how did you manage to cultivate all this when you're only three thousand power. What you produced is normally eight thousand power," CaoMei explained, "The others will sense this great power and will want to know your secret," CaoMei added.
"CaoMei, you just need to relax and just let it out, stop worrying so much," Li Jing tried to influence her.
"But Li Jing, I can't cultivate anything yet and from what I found out I may not be able to," CaoMei confessed.
"You will CaoMei, you're just a late bloomer. I'm sure you will find your confidence and sense of purpose," Li Jing encouraged.
Just as Li Jing began to drop the topic, a strange man approached them. He first looked at Li Jing then at CaoMei then back to Li Jing.
"Who are you and what are you here for?" Li Jing asked, in a stern voice.
"Wow, a little aggressive for someone with such beauty and so elegant," the guy scoffed.
"Well, we can never be too careful. You haven't told us who you are so we protect each other and our power or haven't you heard, the Demon realm is plotting to attack, so we are always on our guard," Li Jing explained.
"Oh my apologies, I am Jonah, leader of the Bird realm. Just so you know I have heard and I intend on helping the Cultivation realm when they do attack," Jonah answered.
"Jonah! I hope you're not distracting my junior sisters from their duties, they still have a lot to do," Sister Chrysanthemum accused, whilst giving Li Jing and CaoMei the death stare. "Come with me and I will take you to see Elder Orchid," Chrysanthemum flirted, linking her arm in his as they walked away.
"Sister Chrysanthemum!" Elder Orchid called out, they both spun their heads, "Leader Jonah, what brings you here today?" Elder Peony asked in confusion.
"I have come to see you, to ask if I could borrow one of your finest cultivators. My realm is in dire need of attention," Jonah asked, almost pleading.
Elder Orchid looked at him sternly, thinking about who to send. "You can borrow Li Jing. Sister Chrysanthemum go get Li Jing," Elder Peony ordered. Sister Chrysanthemum went off and Jonah waited patiently with Elder Orchid in silence as she worked.
It was about an hour later, Sister Chrysanthemum came back with Li Jing.
"Elder Orchid you called for me," Li Jing spoke as she approached Peony's altar.
"Li Jing! You will go with Leader Jonah to the Bird realm, but be careful, I have also asked senior sister Iris to go with you. She is the stronger fighter," Elder Orchid ordered. Li Jing nodded and walked next to Jonah as he grabbed her hand and apparated out.
