Chapter 22: Chapter 17 - 2 Years Later [1]
The morning sun rose up from the sky indicating that it was now day, then the sunlight hit Lax's face making his handsome face shine.
"Hmm... So bright?" He was half awake as he rubbed his eyes sitting up on the bed while his body was still inside the blanket.
*Rustle*

He felt something moving inside his blanket and went to look into it. He noticed a beautiful girl with an alluring body who was only wearing her underwear and a large shirt. It was Nia and she is now 16 years old.
Nia was a few months older than Lax, having been born three months earlier.
"Good morning, Lax," she yawned, stretching her body and crawling up to him. She snuggled her body against Lax, rubbing her face against his chest.
"Good morning, Nia," he said as he hugged her. This was their daily routine, which had been going on for more than two years. Furthermore, the Syzygia will occur in just a few days.

Two years ago, after Lax confessed to Nia, they took a train home, and the smile on Nia's face never faded.
She held Lax's hand until they arrived home, and as they entered, their parents greeted them with a hug.
They knew something had happened when they saw the two of them holding hands, so they congratulated them.
Nia blushed as she was embarrassed as Lax thanked them for accepting their relationship.
They then spent the entire week with their parents, but they also made time for themselves so that they could spend time together with just the two of them.
A week had passed in an instant, and they now needed to return to the temple.
Their parents cried as they realized they wouldn't be able to see their children for a long time, so they hugged them for a few minutes before saying their goodbyes.
Lax offered Nia a piggyback ride to the temple, and she agreed as she climbed onto his back.
It was still daylight when they entered the temple; of course, Lax used concealment. Raymond greeted them both and led them to their respective rooms to prepare.
He suggested that Lax and Nia go into the floors together so that they could both gain experience. Nia was happy with the suggestion, so she quickly agreed, leaving Lax with no time to object.
"It was dangerous, but at least he'll be there if something unexpected happens, and he could protect Nia while he's at it," he thought as they returned to their room to prepare for their trip to the temple.
Lax wore a black suit and pants that aren't really fit for adventuring with a black blindfold tied around his head, and as for Nia, she was wearing an adventurer outfit like the ones you could see on an Isekai manga.
Then, after putting all the stuff they needed in Lax's spatial ring, they headed towards the second floor, where they saw Raymond waiting for them.
"Master Lax, the floor's difficulty will change according to the person who enters it, so you going in with Miss Nia will either raise or decrease the difficulty of the floor."
"That is all, Master Lax and Miss Nia. I wish you both safe travels." After saying those words, Raymond left.
Lax walked into the portal, and Nia followed after him. The floor wasn't different from before, as they just needed to kill the last boss to clear it, and except for the world, nothing much has changed.
They managed to clear the floor with the speed of half a day, and Lax was surprised by how easy it was.
"Clearing the floor was easier than I expected, so that means that with Nia around, the difficulty of the floor decreased. Well, it's not like it's a bad thing." He shrugged his shoulders at the last sentence and proceeded to enter the next floor after eating and resting their bodies.
Starting from floor one to their current floor which is the eighth floor nothing much was different it was all the same it seems that the temple was just made for them to gain knowledge from other worlds about the species in it and their place.
7 months have already passed since they first entered the second floor and currently they just finished defeating the last boss in the eight floor.
It took seven months because as they cleared floor 3 the world inside floor 4 was vaster than the previous three. Also the last boss doesn't appear immediately so they had to wait for them to appear and kill it.
From the 4th floor it took 2 weeks before the Last boss appeared, then from 5th floor it took almost 2 months, the 6th floor took a month to find the and kill the Last boss, the 7th floor took 2 months to clear, and the 8th floor it took 2 and half a month before the last boss appeared.
It was really a long time so Lax and Nia needed to live inside the worlds for those 7 months.
Taking a break for a month was what Lax and Nia did after clearing the 8th floor and Lax was shocked and happy by how fast Nia was getting stronger during their trip to the floors.
Nia is currently at rank 4, and Lax believes she will be able to reach rank 5 and add another element to her energy in addition to the lightning element she was blessed with.
They entered the 9th floor after a month of rest and cleared it after killing the boss who appeared three months later.
The gods greeted them with a shocked expression as they walked out of the spatial crack.
They didn't expect their apostle to reach and clear the ninth floor when they returned, even though Lax was a regressor. They did, however, congratulate them because they were proud of them for exceeding their expectations.
The gods then ordered their subordinates to prepare for a feast as they celebrated Lax and Nia's achievement.
Lax then told the gods that they would attempt to clear the tenth floor after a week of rest.
After that, a week flew by, and Lax and Nia found themselves in front of a spatial crack leading to the tenth floor.
But before they entered, the gods warned them.
"Lax, Nia, this floor isn't like the previous nine floors you cleared because, compared to this floor, they were like child's play."
"So be careful and do everything you can to survive."
Lax and Nia walked into the portal, and the world around them was dark with a red sky.
Lax was then reminded of the world before he regressed and just like that, two weeks had passed since they entered the world, and after all that time, it was only now that they found a place to stay.
It was an abandoned village, so they were the only people there.
They stayed at that place for five months, occasionally going out of the village to search for the last boss.
They finally found the last boss after five months of searching and waiting, but they didn't dare to approach it.
The boss was terrifying, even just by the aura of death it emitted. The aura was powerful enough to cause Nia, a rank 5, to gasp for air as she felt it.
So Lax decided not to attack the boss, not because he didn't think he could beat him, but because he was worried about Nia's safety.
So he waited six month to arrive and returned to the temple.
