"What about you, are you not going to settle down and have kids yourself?" She asked
"I'm planning on it, you don't worry, I will surprise you" he winked. He's been dating his girlfriend for the past four years and he's yet to propose.
"Both of you are old enough to be with your respective spouses, so hurry up " their grandmother chipped in as she stood up with Rosie to have her afternoon nap. After their grandma had left and he confirmed it before he continued his conversation.
"So what do you think about last night" he was trying to see if Eva has any slight interest in Addy
"Well, the event was great, it was well organised, just didn't think the pests would be there" she replied rolling her eyes
"They know me, that's why they didn't say anything to me, but what do you think bout Addy?" he asked
"Yeah he's the CEO of Thompsons Realtors, I've seen him in magazines and on TV, and he is handsome in person but very weird at the same time" she replied
"You know he doesn't have any girlfriend or any scandal involving him and he's a good person but because he looks cold and so hard to read, people think he doesn't care but he does to people he likes and loves"Joey commented
"Ok, so why are telling me all this information about him" she was wondering
"Nothing, I just thought you would like to know more about him" he replied
After a while of catching up, it was time for dinner and they all had dinner together before he said his goodbyes.
AT THOMPSONS HEADQUATERS
After Clara left, Addy was a little bit angry at his grandfather because he tricked him but decides to not say anything to him. So he continued his normal work and decides to postpone his other research. As he was busy doing his work, Leo rushed in with an excited look on his face
"Addy Addy ADDY" he shouted excitedly
"Why are you shouting my name like that, can't you behave like a normal person that I'm paying" Addy replied without taking his eyes off the screen.
"Well I'm here to inform you about something you would love to know, but it fine since I'm shouting, I would just go back to my post like someone that is getting paid by you SIR" Leo emphasized on the sir, while he turned back about to open the door
"LEO" he called him with an authoritative voice
"What is it you want to share with me" he continued calmly
Leo turned back and went to sit opposite him
"You will not believe who called Team A desk to book an appointment for Monday, Lilian," he said excitedly
"So, what's my business with this Lilian," he said casually
"Well, Lilian is Miss Eva Williams secretary" Addy looked up from his screen, what Leo said caught his attention.
"Tell Team A to transfer all her appointments to my desk, I will handle it personally"
"Wow, the great Addy will handle our goddess appointment personally" he teased him. Addy gave him a deadly glare that made him shut up.
"But you've got an appointment outside the office on Monday" Leo commented sadly
"You know what to do," he said as he continued what he was doing on his desktop
"Wait, you want me to cancel the meeting on Monday?" Leo asked so surprisedly
"We might lose the contract you know, how about I tell Team A to call her and rebook the appointment?" he continued
"I won't lose the contract, just do what I say," Addy said confidently. Leo could only nod his head and was worried
"Ok if that is all, you can leave," Addy said
"Meanie," Leo said as he left Leo's office
Addy was smiling to himself and was just thinking about contacting Joey so he can get her contact number or if he could arrange it, so everyone can meet up casually, but that doesn't need to happen anymore because she will walk in here with her legs. He was smiling and blushing to himself when Leo knock and came in,
"Sir your mother is on the phone"
"Tell her I am busy" Leo relaid his message and came back to tell him that his grandfather said he should come home for dinner. His mother knows he never says no to his grandfather, so she had used his name to invite him over for dinner.
"Tell her I will be there, but I will be running late," He thought he hasn't seen his grandfather in two weeks cos he's been so busy and needed to see him anyways to tell him off, for sending that woman to him earlier on, he has even forgotten her name all he remembers is shes a doctor and was behaving weird.
He managed to finish his work for the day and decides to continue his research about Eva. He managed to get more information about this woman and he had a sensation and urge to want to protect this woman. He shut his computer and head for the elevator where he was joined by Leo.
"Good luck at the Thompsons Mansion, I'm sure you would need it" Leo commented
"I'm sure mother is scheming something else, and she doesn't know I'm only going because I want to see grandpa," he said
"Well, you definitely need to tell me everything that happens, don't forget," he said with puppy eyes. Addy shot him a glare that made him whimper.
They both said their byes and went their separate ways.
