Chapter 28: Chapter 28: Roommates

Laying lazily on the left side bottom bunk bed with his arms crossed behind his head and on his pillow, was a young boy with center-parted long black hair and good features. While his looks were good, he had thin lips and blue scheming filled eyes, these made it difficult for others to produce good will towards him. Basically a Slytherin.

Sitting on top of the left side top bunk bed was a anime style blonde haired boy, light brown eyes, looking to be about slightly smaller in height than Xiu Ye, with a above average appearance, and calm demeanor. He comes off as any ordinary social student.

While on the right side bottom bunk bed was occupied by a red brown spiky haired boy, black eyes, has freckles, slightly taller than Xiu Ye and has a nervous expression. Frankly, he comes off as an ordinary kid.

The nervous boy stood up towards Xiu Ye's direction, without waiting for the latter, he started introducing himself.

"Hello, my name is Wang Jinxi. I'll be a new student in class one, first grade."

Xiu Ye blinked at the sudden introduction then introduced himself as well.

"Hello as well, my name is Xiu Ye. I'm also a new student in first grade class one."

The slytherin raised his arm, waving, and smiled.

"Hi, my name is Wei Xiaofeng. New student in first grade class one."

The blonde one waved his hand around.

"Hello, my name is Zhang Yangzi. I am also the same as you all."

Xiu Ye nodded politely then walked towards the right bunk bed and climbed towards the top, immediately laying on the bed.

This wasn't because he didn't want to socialize with his new roommates...

Okay yeah, he didn't want to socialize with them right now.

Seeing him like that, the others stared at each other and shrugged. They all decided to do their own thing.

A couple of hours later, the sun raising high, Xiu Ye felt his soul communicator vibrate in his pocket.

Instead of putting it in his storage ring, he decided to put it in his pocket cause he wanted to immediately know if someone were to contact him.

"Wulin? What's up bro? Are you heading towards the cafeteria? ....What? You got into a fight that destroyed parts of your room, got scolded for it, and one of the guys who got you into that mess would pay for the damages you'd cause, but, only if you fight him tomorrow?" Xiu Ye loudly summarize the events Tang Wulin had gone through within the small hours they separated with a indignant expression.

Seriously, this is just day one and Tang Wulin has already cause trouble? What kind of luck is that?

"Yeah... I'd originally was going to pay for it, but the guy proposed the deal of paying for the expenses with a fight. You know me, I'm just really stingy with money. If someone was going to pay for me, then I'll unhesitatingly accept any deals except anything that goes against my morals." Tang Wulin said with a serious voice.

Xiu Ye's brow twitched.

You money grubbing bastard...

"Alright, you can tell me more of the details later in the dining hall."

"Hm."

Putting the soul communicator back into his pocket, Xiu Ye went down his bed and walked towards the door.

"Xiu Ye, where you heading at?" Wang Jinxi asked out of curiosity.

"Dining hall, I'm gonna meet up with my cousin and eat there as well." Xiu Ye replied without looking back.

"Okay." Wang Jinxi nodded.

The intermediate division's dining hall was a small building located to the side of the main school building. The building had three floors, which accommodates all six grades of the intermediate academy. First and second graders ate on the first floor.

The dining hall only had tables with no chairs. This was one of the customs of Eastsea Academy. Students must eat while standing, in order to increase their sense of urgency.

There were three windows labelled one, two and three. A nearby student explained this to Xiu Ye, allowing him to understand that the third window had free food, the second window was subsidized, while the first window needed complete payment from the student.

Naturally, the first window provided the best food, followed by the second window, while the third window provided the most basic foods.

"A meal from the second window cost 300 federation coins, and a meal from the first window could cost up to 1,000 federation coins. Huh, cheap." Xiu Ye muttered as he went to the first window to order 30 pizza dragon rolls.

With millions in his bank account and some in his current pocket, Xiu Ye could easily order everything in the first window and he'd still have some pocket money to spare. That's how rich he currently is.

"Now, how to find Wulin..." Xiu Ye mumbled, standing still, as he chewed a pizza dragon roll in one hand while the other was holding a tray filled with a stack of pizza dragon rolls.

He felt a sudden rich energy entering his stomach and spread across his entire body, slightly increasing his bones, muscles, meridians and internal organs. He knew that it was the beneficial nutrients of the pizza dragon roll he was eating.

This was made by the meat of a soul beast that has the bloodline of a dragon! Anyone who eats this kind of food would receive great benefits to their bodies. The food was nutritional and beneficial to one's body, but Xiu Ye...

"Hm, kinda overcooked and it needs some spices. I should have buy the ingredients used for this and make one myself." Xiu Ye muttered in dissatisfaction. If anyone were to hear his comments about the food in the first window, especially the chefs, they would have vomited out blood in indignation and fury.

Glancing to the side, he saw a crowd gathering around and some students gossiping.

"This guy's stomach isn't that big, yet how can he eat so much? He's about to break the record. I remember our intermediate academy's steamed bun record is 43. How many has this guy eaten already?"

"He's already broken the record by eating 45. How formidable! What's more, he doesn't even look like a big eater. The steamed buns are palm-sized too! The academy's steamed buns have always been this large."

Now, who was someone that can eat that many steamed buns so easily?

Xiu Ye let out a sigh and walked towards the source of the crowd's entertainment.

There he found Tang Wulin, stuffing his face with steamed buns, while someone that looked like a gorilla and a nerd was standing next to him with disbelieving expressions.

Xiu Ye waited to the side, continuing to observe his cousin whilst eating his pizza dragon rolls.

In the end, the intermediate academy's steamed bun record was set at 80 buns and five large bowls of vegetable soup by the new student, Tang Wulin.

"Damn bro, that's a new record." Xiu Ye whistled, impressed, as he wrapped one arm around Tang Wulin's shoulders. His pizza dragon rolls were already gone to his stomach by the latter's seventieth bun.

"Hey Ye!" Tang Wulin excitedly said, returning a one sided hug around him.

"So, when are we going to your dad's workshop and the blacksmith association?"

"Let's ask if we're able to go out of the school campus. Then we can go."

Before Xiu Ye had packed his things, Mang Tian had told him that he has a workshop in Eastsea City with a couple forging rooms in there; he and Tang Wulin should take it to good use. As he only comes to that workshop by once every month or so more, and there wasn't anyone working there as well.

Mang Tian had also told him that he needed to register at the Blacksmith's Association in order to be able to accept tasks. These tasks would hone his skills, well, Tang Wulin's anyway. The tasks would just add to his ever increasing finances. Though every month, Mang Tian would come and inspect Tang Wulin's progress as well as give him some instructions.

With the help of Structural Analysis, Reinforcement and innate divine strength, Tang Wulin had advanced much further in blacksmithing than his canon self, capable of already forging thousand refined metals six months ago and now is able of forging second grade thousand refined metals with a ninety percent success chance rate.

The only reason why he hasn't been able to refine a first grade thousand refined metal was because his comprehension to metal and forging wasn't up to par yet. Even with the help of Structural Analysis, his young mind is still isn't capable of understanding most of what he analyzed.

This is one of the reasons why Xiu Ye was a genius in blacksmithing. With the mind of someone older than his own body, he was able to understand and process of structural analyzing stuff.
