Chapter 22: Rage of the Lower Class

"Huh?"

I looked at the five Saiyans in front of me as if they had just asked me to help them commit suicide. Which is what they were basically doing.

"You are all either out of your minds or extreme masochists." I told them.

My words caused not just Team Ocuro to look at me weirdly, but also Team Bardock.

"Zyleth, how do you know what a masochist is?" Bardock asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Oh please, he just probably heard someone else use that line before and repeated it." Rhuba said as she rolled her eyes. "There's no way that he knows what a masochist actually is."

"If that's what you think, I'd be perfectly happy to give you a demonstration in private." I told her with a smirk.

That remark caused Tora to spit out the water her was drinking and Borgos to choke on his food. Rhuba herself couldn't even seem to process it as she just stared at me with complete and utter shock.

I'm starting to realize that it's pretty fun to see grown women short circuit when they get hit on by a four year old, even though I know nothing would really come out of it.

God, I hope the Android Saga comes along soon...

"We are going to have a very long discussion about why you know about any of that." Bardock said with a serious gaze.

Oh, so I'm old enough to cause the extinction of an entire species, but still too young to know about sex? I'm starting to think that Saiyan society might be a little misconstrued on what to teach their children.

"What's a masochist?" Vegeta asked, his eyebrows furrowing in confusion.

"Ask your mother." I said instantly, not wanting to have that discussion with him of all people.

"Enough!" Ocuro yelled.

I look over and see that we've apparently somehow pissed off Team Ocuro. They probably took out banter as an insult since we were not paying them any of the attention that they wanted.

Which was dumb. We weren't insulting them, we just didn't care about their existence.

"Oh sorry, I forgot you were here. What did you want again?" I asked, just trying to piss them off.

"You petulant, impudent, contemptuous child!" Ocuro yelled as he glared at me with a fury so great that I'm honestly a little surprised he didn't go Super Saiyan.

I leaned on the table and rested my hand against my fist as I looked at him with an amused smile.

That seemed to be the one that broke the camels back as he held up his hand towards my face and charged up a blast.

"What is the meaning of this?!" A familiar voice shouted.

"Why don't you mind your own--

Ocuro didn't even get to finish his sentence before one of his team members put a hand over his mouth and pulled him down towards the ground to kneel.

"King Vegeta, it is a great honor!" Orko exclaimed in fear.

Seeing Ocuro's face go from red faced anger to pale faced fear was one of the satisfying things I've ever seen in both my lifetimes.

"Obviously." The prideful King said with an unamused glare. "Do not make me repeat myself."

"We-- We were just challenging Zyleth to a friendly battle, Your Majesty..." Ocuro finally answered the King's question.

"A battle?" Sela asked incredulously as she appeared from out of nowhere.

King Vegeta looked at him with the same look as his wife. "Are you perhaps short on brains, Ocuro? You are nowhere near Zyleth's league. You couldn't even defeat Nappa."

That remark from the King caused Ocuro to grit his teeth in anger.

"Nappa? They tried to fight Nappa?" Fasha asked with a confused expression as she looked towards the groveling group of Saiyans.

"Yes. And lost quite spectacularly if I remember correctly." Sela said with her usual cold demeanor.

"I'm still lost. So you tried to beat Nappa and failed, so you challenge the one who demolished him?" Bardock asked Ocuro, not able to understand the thinking behind their decision.

"The only reason that oaf didn't win was because he didn't take the battle seriously from the start. We won't be making that mistake." Ocuro seethed.

Everyone proceeded to look at him as if he was stupid.

I mean, he's right, but also completely wrong. Nappa not taking it seriously was a dumb decision on his part, but he was also three times weaker than me at that time. And even if these five had a chance back then, their mistake was waiting to challenge me.

My current self is currently almost five times stronger than that of Saiyan Saga Nappa.

"But why are you even challenging him in the first place?" Tora asked.

The members of Team Ocuro looked at each other, unsure if they should answer the question or just ignore it.

"Because they want to move up in the ranks." I answered for them.

Ocuro looked at me with widened eyes. "How-- How do you--"

"Why else would you be challenging Elite warriors? There's no reason for you to other than to increase your team's standing." I said as I gave a little shrug.

To increase your standing in Saiyan society, you need to have an official match with a warrior who is member of the tier you're trying to rise up to. The match also needs a witness of the same tier as your opponent.

It wasn't hard to guess what they were trying to do. They had probably saw Nappa get absolutely destroyed and thought they could take him in with no difficulty, only to get smacked by reality when they got pummeled.

And in their inability to comprehend why they lost, they chalked it up to Nappa only losing the match against me because he refused to take me seriously.

"There's one thing that I don't understand though. Why would you challenge all the higher up Elites when you could easily win against the lower ranked ones?" I asked curiously.

In Planet Vegeta, there's a ranking system within the ranking system.

The King was first since I hadn't challenged and beat him.

I was in second.

Bardock was now in third since he willingly gave me the second place slot after realizing that he couldn't beat me.

Nappa was in fourth after his third place slot was taken by me.

Tora, Shugesh, Fasha and Borgos all occupied the fifth through eighth slots after going through rigorous amounts of training in an attempt to catching up to me.

The ninth slot was occupied by Paragus and I've never met the Saiyan in the tenth.

But the thing is that they didn't have to choose from this list of Elite Saiyans. They could've picked some random Elite that wasn't even on the list and still gotten that Elite title they wanted.

"You don't know..." Ocuro whispered with anger.

"Hmm?" I raised a curious eyebrow at his sudden change in attitude.

"You don't know how humiliating it is being the laughing stock of those pompous Elites! You don't know what's it's like to claw your way out from the bottom of the ladder, just for them to look down on you and treat you like disposable trash!" Ocuro suddenly yelled out, which caused me to tilt my head slightly at the outburst.

"So you want to prove some kind of point? To prove that Elites aren't special, or something to that effect?" I asked.

"Yes!" Ocuro yelled out, his team standing behind him with determined expressions on each of their faces.

You know, after hearing what he had to say. I can't help but be disappointed at his answer.

After he was done and catching his breath from all the unnecessary yelling, I stood up from my chair and started to walk out of the canteen.

"Where are you going?!" Ocuro asked, looking at me with contempt.

"The training area." I told him before turning to face him and his team. "You wanted to fight, didn't you?"
