Chapter 42: Rosalie's problem
Rosalie walks through the village when she is stopped by a villager calling out for help. she runs over to him and he explains.
[villager a] Hey can you take this rope up there and tie it to the top so we can lift this up.
Rosalie spreads her wings grabbing the rope. She jumps up and ties it yelling down.
[rosalie] Is that good?
[villager a] yeah that's perfect thank you Rosalie.
Rosalie lands walking past some stalls she sees one fir a meat skewers. she grabs her money pouch looking at it she's reminded to check on reiji.
"All this time I have been helping out here. We have been apart for a little while huh reiji? she says looking up to the sky.
[???] Bad news everyone needs to escape now.
[ Rosalie rushes over to the person shouting.
[Rosalie] Whats going on why should we run?
[???] a giant noble rank monster is heading this way he has slaughtered all the scouts surrounding the village so far. It is just too powerful. it will be upon us soon the village won't survive.
Rosalie shakes her head in disbelief. The village isn't even finished rebuilding yet. She shakes her head and starts giving orders. Spreading her wings she flies up in front of everyone.
[Rosalie] We have to prepare now set up some barricades. After that go hide in the underground shelter that was just finished make sure to mask your path behind you. I will stay here and hold it off.
Rosalie looks up to the sky " I wish you were here Reiji."
A Few hours of scrambling and all the villagers are hiding underground except for Rosalie. A shadow rushes forward breaking the barricades. following behind the shadow is a tall figure of a woman. Her red hair and eyes similar to soma. The woman looks at Rosalie with a calm expression.
[???] Are you the one?
the woman asks looking at Rosalie. "I was told I'd find the one here. The one who killed my dear soma."
Rosalie instantly spreads her wings threateningly pulling two black daggers from her waist. The woman just smiles and pets the beast that smashed the traps so easily. The beasts fur looked rough, and it had several scars. It had 3 horns protruding from its forehead and black pupils with yellow eyes. Unlike the woman the beast is wary of Rosalie.
[???] If you are not the one, then where can I find the one who did it?
Rosalie has a bead of sweat drip from her chin. She can tell how strong the beast is, but not the woman. This causes her to be physically ill. The woman walks closer to Rosalie reaching out her hand as she got close. Then a man appears right beside Rosalie throwing her beasts jaw at the woman.
[???]Leave this place by order of The great elf king Ragnur.
[The woman responds clicking her tongue.
"Didn't expect you here Shadowheart."
Shadowheart says " Nor I you mistress of beasts kana."
kana replies " That means she's the one?
Dhadowheart replies "no"
kana "Then why are you protecting her?"
Shadowheart "The kings orders"
Kana pulls out a giant whip and sends it towards Rosalie. Shadowheart knocks it away with a shortsword.
Unamused Dhadowheart says "you should really heed my words the girl is off limits."
kana scoffs " Nothing is off limits for me don't you know that. Obviously she's important in some way or you wouldn't be here."
Shadowheart sighs " you know I don't want to be here. if her lover wasn't important.I wouldn't be. I rather be training my favorite techniques."
kana laughs "Then ill have to kill her to get to him. Shadowheart make this easy on yourself and tell me who killed him."
Shadowheart scratches his face then responds with " Sorry can't say that, but I can tell you he's stronger than she is by leaps and bounds. Also technically the idiot self destructed so no one killed him. "
Kana tosses a globe when it breaks a giant 6 headed serpent appears. kana turns to Shadowheart then continues to speak.
"The girl will die, and so will you Shadowheart. when I'm done with you two I will kill the man who killed him."
Rosalie has sat quiet all this time. She snaps and yells at them both. "DONT TALK ABOUT ME LIKE I AM NOT HERE."
"Like hell your going to kill him he'd mop the floor with you and all your pets. Why you may ask because he is strong."
Kana laughs "Strong haha thats funny stuff. if he couldn't handle soma he couldn't handle me. I am the older of us and we are both descendant of the red dragon king azimuth."
Rosalie responds " So your not special there's many who can claim to be descendants of dragons, But my mate is stronger than them all. He will not lose to some cheap imitation."
Kana grabs a second whip from her side and swings both of them one at shadowheart, and one at the creature making it scream.
The creature attacks and another battle begins unbeknownst to reiji.
