Chapter 74: Jake From The Penguin Clan
One of the significant reasons why Drazon didn't want to travel with Shiva for long is because of what happened to Dory (scorpion clan girl died in a sealed cave) the image of her getting her heart stabbed into and eaten continued to hunt him, and that motivated him to get stronger. Still, he knew his life wouldn't be easy, so taking Shiva along; he couldn't guarantee her safety mainly since he had grown quite fond of her.
They continued their journey to the north as they fought some hard battles against higher level slimes, the speed slimes were giving them quite the trouble. The higher their level was, the faster they got, even though Drazon was a level four when they had reached a certain point, and level four-speed slimes started showing up, Drazon had to use his a lot of energy just to hold them off. Regardless they still have to push forward as they slowly made their way towards the mountains that were in between them and the north.
A few hours later, the two were getting closer to the mountain when Drazon and Shiva encountered a few penguin clan members. Their leader was Jake, the top three winners of the tournament. Jake smiled when he saw Drazon as he wanted a rematch against him.
"Hi, Dragon Boy. I think I want a rematch now, and you have no choice since I have more numbers with me".
Drazon noticed there were ten of them smiling at him as if they were ready to devour him. Drazon didn't want to waste his energy on them, so he asked, " And what if I decline what you are guys going to do?"
Jake laughed as he said," I know the seal clan has put a bounty on your head, so maybe after I defeat you, I can claim it as a prize on top of the resources that we would receive from this place." Drazon chuckled a little as he had not revealed all of his strength, so they had no idea what they were dealing with.
"Okay, you guys can all come at me at once if you like, and if not, it could be a one versus one thing between Jake and me first, and you can decide what to do after that."
Jake liked Drazon as he said,'' let's do one versus one first, but even if I lose or win no matter what, we will be taking your head and turning it in for resources to get stronger. Drazon smiled as his ice friend Glacier had contacted him saying that he wanted to assist, but Drazon said he should hold off; if he can't handle a bunch of level three penguins, then he will call for help. Shiva looked at Jake as Jake said," don't worry, princess I won't touch you. Still, if you get in the way, we will have to knock you out, Shiva didn't say anything because all these clan members kept bringing themselves to death's door and thought Drazon would have yet another meal to eat.
Drazon asked Shiva to put up an ice wall so that nobody would see their battle, and nobody would be able to interrupt or escape. Jake wondered why Drazon would request this, but he thought this would even be beneficial to him as once he finished killing Drazon, nobody else would be able to come and take his prize. He will turn it in for excellent quality resources to level up.
Jake needed all the resources he could get in this world because, in his world, the weakest are bullied. Jake needed to do whatever it takes to be stronger than everybody else since there were a lot of penguins around competing against each other to be the best; he needed to stand out, and to do that, he needed to be stronger.
