Chapter 3: The new dream

It's been a few months since I had been forced to retire. I was on my way to take out some terrorist that had been terrorizing the village back in Rubikus.
When all of a sudden, the vehicle i was in hit a landmine, blowing us up sky high, none of us died for thank goodness but we didn't escape unscathed, got my left torn off when i was sent flying off the vehicle, with no way to reattach my leg, I had to be retired since if a soldier can't run, a soldier can fight.
Now out of a job, I was introduced to the dream dimension by one of my friends, telling me that I could make a living by winning in one of its various games available on it.
With no job I could really get myself into, I decided to give it a try.
In the following months since I had started to play I manage to find plenty of warzone themed dream, it's like being back as a soldier, but over time, it started to feel stale, like something was missing, the thrill of death, the feeling of being overwhelmed, all the dreams I went to just seems fake, and the others felt like their had been no training and is always full on YOLO.
As I was scanning for anything else that may seemed interesting, I saw a new dream created, "Final Fortress" is what it says.
"A fortress, is this like a defense game? Where I am to defend the base to win?"
As I thought to myself, and went in to see what it was all about.
