Chapter 78: Ghosted

Medusa stared blankly at the roof on her apartment while lying comfortably on her leather sofa. The huge holographic TV was on but she wasn't paying any attention to it. She had been feeling down ever since she recovered from the injuries received during the incursion and from the surgery performed on her by Luna.

Although she had felt a bit depressed by Atomic's death, the reason why she was brooding now was different. It was because her cellphone had been awfully quiet ever since she got better. The only messages she had received had been from Sam asking her out, but the one who she wanted to reach out to her had completely disappeared. She even tried calling Luna but she wouldn't even reply her texts, let alone pick up the phone.
