Chapter 29: Deja Vu

After Dunha's vision turned dark, she began to faintly hear a young child's voice.

A bright light then briefly blinded her eyes.

"Dunha?" said Lily as she began to look slightly worried at Dunha's silence.

When Dunha opened her eyes, she was shocked to see herself alive and looked around in confusion. She then looked down and touched the side of her waist and was surprised that the wound was gone.

"Are you okay? You're acting weird..." said Lily.

After noticing that Lily was not unconscious, Dunha began to touch Lily's face.

"Lily! Are you okay?" Dunha asked as she checked Lily's face for bruises.

"Yesh, why?" Lily answered as she looked at Dunha, confused. "Can you also stop rubbing my face? It tickles," she giggled.

"Oh, sorry," said Dunha.

She then let go of Lily's face after being unable to find a single bruise.

"Was it all a dream?" Dunha wondered. "No, it wasn't... The pain was too real to be a dream..."

Out of curiosity, Dunha pointed at the large fish tank to see how Lily would react.

"Wah! Fishy!" Lily shouted delightfully.

Lily's eyes were filled with excitement as she ran towards the tank.

"Same reaction..." Dunha noted.

"Wow! There's so many!" said Lily as she tapped on the glass.

"It's the same reaction again..." Dunha thought. "Am I having Deja vu? If that's the case..."

She began to run towards the doors and saw a single guard standing in front of the door.

"Princess?" said the guard as he bowed.

Is he Misha? I remember someone calling him that name when he was thrown out the door.

"Are you Misha?" Dunha asked.

The guard was slightly surprised that Dunha knew his name.

"Yes, that is my name, princess," said Misha. "How does the princess know my name?"

Dunha couldn't answer him as she was too busy trying to put all of the pieces together.

"Was that a premonition just now?" Dunha wondered.

If that was a premonition, then in a few minutes, this guard is going to be thrown out the door by that maniac...

"If that happens, Lily and I will be trapped in here with that crazy bastard without any guards..." she thought.

Memories of her getting stabbed popped up in her mind which caused her to cringe.

"There's no doubt that I'll be killed again if I get locked in the library with that maniac..." Dunha thought.

"Princess?" said the guard. "Is everything okay?"

Dunha realized that she stayed silent for too long.

"I-I just heard someone calling you Misha before..." said Dunha.

"I see..." Misha replied.

Dunha nodded.

If the premonition is true, I should probably move him away from the door, otherwise, he'll get thrown out again... But how should I make him get away from the door...

A candle then suddenly popped up above Dunha's head as she got an idea.

"Can you come here for a second? I want to show you something," said Dunha as she walked towards the fish tank.

"Of course," said Misha as he followed Dunha.

"If that premonition is right, that bastard should arrive here in a few seconds," Dunha thought.

Just as they reached the fish tank, Dunha heard the doors burst open. However, this time, it was a guard outside who confronted the crazed man instead of Misha.

"What is the meaning of this?!" the guard shouted.

Misha got in front of Dunha as he prepared to pull out a mace from his belt.

"Princess, milady, please get behind me," said Misha as he kept his eyes on the strange guard.

Lily nodded as she looked nervous and somewhat excited while Dunha glared at the stranger who kicked open the door.

"How dare you just barge in here without permission! What is your name? I'll have you punished fo--" the angry guard shouted before getting elbowed in the jaw and thrown out the door.

After throwing the guard out of the library, the man proceeded to block the door with a large bookshelf. However, this time, Misha was trapped in the library with Dunha, Lily, and the crazed guard.

"Who is this madman?" Misha wondered as he pulled out his mace. "One thing's for certain, he's a threat to the princess and her friend."

Misha turned his head around to look at Lily and Dunha.

"Princess, milady, please hide somewhere safe until I subdue this man," said Misha.

"Okay. Come on Lily, let him deal with the scary man," said Dunha.

"O-Okay..." said Lily.

Just as Lily nodded, Dunha heard the sounds of metal clashing. Misha deflected a thrown dagger with his buckler shield.

"Tch, he's aiming for me again," Dunha thought.

"Oi, I'll have your head for that," said Misha as he glared at the man.

The crazed man proceeded to remove his helmet to reveal his unsettling wide smile.

"Lily, let's go find a place to hide," said Dunha.

"B-But we'll miss the fight..." said Lily as she looked sad.

"We could watch it behind a bookshelf! We'll be able to see watch the fight and be safe at the same time," said Dunha.

Lily looked surprised and looked at Dunha with admiration.

"That sounds good! You're so smart, Dunha!" said Lily as her eyes sparkled.

This caused Dunha to blush once more.

C-cute... What am I thinking at a time like this?! Focus, Dunha!

"Let's go over there!" said Dunha as she pointed towards a random section of the library.

"Okay!" said Lily as she ran.

Dunha was about to follow Lily until she notices the dagger near the fish tank.

"The dagger!" (Dunha)

Dunha ran for the dagger and when the crazed man saw her, he attempted to run towards her until he was stopped by Misha who swung his mace at him. The man barely dodged the mace before backing off and getting into a defensive stance as he pulled out another dagger and waited for Misha to strike first.

Dunha managed to grab the dagger and quickly ran towards the book section where Lily hid. The crazed man clicked his tongue as he watches her run away. He then turned his head towards Misha who also got into a defensive stance with his buckler shield and mace in his hands.

Although the man was at a disadvantage against his dagger and Misha's mace, he continued to smile as more blue veins were beginning to appear around his head which greatly unsettled Misha.

"What's wrong with him?" Misha wondered as he waited for the man to attack first. "It doesn't matter, he's going to be dead soon anyway."

Misha was confident that he would win because the crazed man removed his helmet. All he needed was to wait for an opportunity to strike him in the head.

"!"

However, the man unexpectedly lunged at Misha and caught him off guard. The man then tackled Misha to the ground and caused him to drop his mace.

"Shit!"

The man then raised the visor of Misha's helmet and attempted to stick the blade into his eyes.

"I can't die yet! The princess and her friend will be in grave danger if I lose here!" Misha thought as he desperately struggled to wrestle the dagger away.

Despite his struggles, it was clear that the crazed man's strength was far more superior to his. However, before the crazed man could completely overpower and kill Misha, Dunha came out of her hiding spot with a dagger and ran towards the man from behind.

Dunha proceeded to stab the man in the back which caused him to cringe in pain. Out of anger, the man let go of Misha and attempted to grab Dunha. Fortunately, she managed to avoid capture and quickly fled.

Before the man could get up and chase after her, a mace landed on his face. Misha managed to grab his mace when the man was distracted and struck the man's face with full force which caused him to collapse to the side.

Despite having his nose shattered and his jaw broken by the mace, he slowly tried to get back up as he attempted to smile.

"This bloody bastard... He's still smiling..." Misha murmured as he gritted his teeth in anger.

Without hesitation, he swung his mace once more which caused the man to fall to the side once more. Misha then got on top of him and paused for a second.

"Princess... Milady... Please cover your eyes..." said Misha in an exhausted tone.

"Aye," Dunha replied as she hid behind a shelf.

*Splat*

Misha proceeded to strike the man with the mace over and over again.

*Splat* *Splat* *Splat*

"How dare you try to harm the princess!" Misha shouted as he continued to smash the man's head in.

As Misha brutally maimed the man's face, Dunha quickly ran towards Lily who was looking at the scene with excitement.

"Don't look, Lily!" said Dunha as she wrapped her arms around Lily's eyes.

"It's okay! I don't mind!" Lily argued.

While Lily tried to wiggle her way out of Dunha's grasp, Dunha turned her head around and silently looked at Misha who was about to deal the final blow.

Just as Misha finally stopped, the blocked doors were forced open.

BOOM!

Blue forced the door open by slamming his body against it with full force. Over a dozen guards then proceeded to rush into the library and were surprised to see what Misha has done.

"Misha, what happened here?" a guard asked.

Misha ignored the guard and slowly stood up and approached Dunha and Lily.

"I protected the princess and lady Lily," Misha mumbled as he stumbled towards Dunha and Lily.

"Is the princess okay?" Misha asked.

Dunha nodded as she sighed in relief.

"Yes. Lily and I are both fine," Dunha answered. "Thanks to you, we're still alive," she added.

Misha smiled.

"I am glad to hear that..." Misha murmured before collapsing.

"!"

"Misha!" a guard shouted as he ran towards Misha.

Dunha was initially puzzled until she noticed blood coming out of Misha through the gaps of his armor where his armpit area was exposed.

"He's been stabbed under the armpit!" a guard shouted.

"Damn, I don't have enough mana to heal him," Blue murmured. "Quickly, take him to Matthew!" He shouted.

"Yes General!" a guard shouted as he crouched. "Quickly! Put him on my back, I'll carry him to the vice-head doctor's chambers!"

One of the guards gently picked up Misha and placed him on another guard's back. He was then carried out of the room with haste.

"Dunha... Is he going to be okay?" Lily asked.

"I'm not sure, Lily... Hopeful--" (Dunha)

"Dunha!" Seo-Yeon shouted.

Seo-Yeon entered the library and ran towards her.

"Mama?" (Dunha)

Before Dunha could react, Seo-Yeon hugged her and began to search her body for wounds.

"Dunha! Are you hurt?" Seo-Yeon asked.

"I'm okay, mama..." Dunha answered.

Suddenly, Dunha heard the sounds of laughter behind her mother. To her shock, the laughter came from the man whose face was badly disfigured.

"H... Ha... Hahaha..." the man laughed.

Several guards were also shocked when the man started to laugh.

"Good lord, how is he even still alive?" someone murmured.

As the man laughed, he pointed in Dunha and Seo-Yeon's direction.

"Hahaha... That's strange... I could've sworn that... I killed the little princess... Hahaha..." said the man as he spat out blood. "I remember watching her little neck pour out blood like a waterfall... Hahaha..."

At the man's words, Seo-Yeon turned around and released a terrifying aura as she glared at the laughing man.

Several of the guards were paralyzed with fear as Seo-Yeon unleased her frightening aura. Even the Great General, Blue Sky, was intimidated when he felt Seo-Yeon's aura.

As Seo-Yeon's aura grew larger, Henry calmly entered the room and called out for Seo-Yeon.

"Seo-Yeon..." said Henry.

"Darling?" said Seo-Yeon.

"You're scaring the children," said Henry as he embraced Seo-Yeon.

Seo-Yeon turned around and realized that Dunha and Lily were behind her. Out of anger, Seo-Yeon accidentally released a frightening aura that affected almost everyone in the room. Her realization allowed her to control her aura properly.

"I'm sorry..." said Seo-Yeon as she closed her eyes.

As Seo-Yeon's aura calmed down, the guards began to sigh in relief.

"Hahaha... What a sig--"

The man attempted to mock Seo-Yeon and Henry but he was abruptly silenced.

"Don't ruin the moment," said Blue as he kicked the man's head.
