Chapter 3: CHAPTER 2:AN APOLOGY IN JACKASS WAY
Riser POV
I have done playing with discovering how my Immortality works in 2 hours so that means now I need to search for Samui.
Searching for her is easy as I see she is wiping the dust off my mother's flower vase.
*Cough" I cough to gain her attention as she pools behind me and other eyes widen upon seeing me.
Fuck. She was really scared of me.
"Samui. You do not need afraid of Riser." I speak in a tone that is eerily like Riser. Mouth and brain you should compose yourself. You too, body, she is hot I get it.
"R-riser s-sama. I had jobs to d"
"Cut it off Samui. You work at my house and you are my employee. As the son of your employer, I had the power to make you slack. " I stressed out the work as she look down.
She is right now shivering. Urgh, apologising is not my thing but I had to do it.
"I apologise for the shit I have done to you. I am truly sorry about that. I guess your sexy body made me swayed by it. " I apologise in this kind of way.
Yeah, like heck she will forgive me. I will not be surprised if she loathes me for her entire life. Truly my apology sounds like I did not truly ask for her forgiveness but my apology is like that okay. A bit of humour which in other people's eyes is not sincere and considered myself be rude when asking for forgiveness.
It is better than not asking for forgiveness bastards.
Seeing no response from her I release a sigh.
"Fine. Looking at you I know you are scared of me. Anyone will feel like that too. So here is the deal. I permit you to quit becoming a servant in this house. Just tell my father that you have my approval to quit. If you want money, then demand them. Want a lot of them until it lasts for 4 of your generations of family, I approved of that too. All I ask is for you to at least in your heart forgive this piece of shit." I said to her with a sincere tone.
Hearing no reply from her I released another sigh.
"Well have it your way then." I turn my body and walk away ignoring the stares from other servants.
"Hey! Today Samui will have a rest. And I do not want any single of you to ask her to do a job. The moment she does one subdues her and ties her on a damn bed until the next shift comes okay? If you did not follow my order there will be a bad sequence, do you, servants understand?!" I ask ut they all just nod some did not reply.
"I ask you one damn question and all I got is not a proper answer. I fucking ask you if you understand my order or NOT?!" I let out my demonic energy at the last word of my sentence making all the servants near me flinch.
"We understand Riser-sama." They all replied at the same time making me nod my head.
"Good. Next time I ask you a question, especially an easy one answer it properly. Now continue to do your job." I begin my way back to the library to gain knowledge of this world.
Just knowing this world based on Anime and Light novels is not enough. I need to know every inch of this world.

"Sami, are you okay, did he do anything toward you?" One maid who has short hair asks the blonde-haired girl who looks at her.
"Y-yeah. I am fine. Just trying to understand fully what just happen." Samui replied as she is still in disbelief at seeing the same man who tried to bed her apologising to her.
She still remembers how it happens.
"Just go rest in our restroom. You know it will not cause any good if we did not heed his instruction." Nora, her friend who is the same age as she said to Samui who nods to the blue-haired girl.
"I better go." Samui had to collect and calm herself after what Riser said toward her.
"Take your time Samui," Nora told her as she then proceeds to do her chores in the house Samui walk into the kitchen where she opens a door revealing a room that she and other servants use to rest when they have time.
She put herself a drink of water in a cup as she is still remembering the sentence that Riser said to her.
Riser apologised to her after what happened. She certainly did not expect that. She thought it was another play from him but after seeing and hearing from his parent that asks Riser what he is playing, he just quips a sentence that did not fit with his image as an arrogant young master.
She knows her stand in the current society after all and the devil-like Riser is superior to her in every aspect.
Samui is a devil whose parents have served the Phenex for a long time as she also has worked under the house when she is 14 years old.
Her parent right now still serves the house though they work im different shifts. She knows how to act like one and her mother had drilled into her to clean, cook and fold the clothes or any task that she is given very fast.
Among her peers, she is the fastest and most diligent one which made her parent proud especially when Lady Phenex gives an extra tip to her when she clean the house using the guests that visited the house.
She knows that she or her parent is not strong. Rather they are just Low-Class Devils. Everyone knows how the Low-Class Devils especially the nameless ones get treated.
For the unlucky one will be sold to another noble house which she did not want to know what happens to them. Some get rescued but some are not especially after what happens to their body.
The only thing they can do you write, eat food, drink clean water and have a place to live with is to do labour jobs that mostly cost their lives.
Especially when the one involves in a live bait for research regarding all the living creatures on the Familiar Forest, one place that has many beings that keep popping out of nowhere.
This job comes with a large amount of devil currency so many tried their luck into getting this which is legal and almost illegal since there are as many debates going on on the devil's television since some of those are Middle-Class Devils who are poor or High-Class Devils who have their servants, especially the one they loved died getting eaten alive by the resident of Familiar Forests.
The job is legal since it benefits the devil society as one Devil House can tame those monsters, though some cannot be tamed at all, especially the carnivores that the devil society had to put up several High-Class Devil and even One Ultimate Class to guard any area that resides those creatures.
The moment those carnivorous creatures see the devil they will hunt them and then munch them alive. There is once an appeal to kill those predators but being turned down, especially since some have a friendly relationship with some devils.
Their strength is good for Devils especially when they need extra hands to defeat other faction members that purely hated their race.
The reason why it is illegal is that there is simply no insurance since if that person died the family that he left behind will get nothing. Some tried to make a term but Century-Old Devils keep dodging and surprised that matter since in their mouth" their sacrifice is for the Devils Society".
Strong eat weakling. Predator hunts their prey until they succeeded.
Those are the harsh truths living in this world.
But if they are smart they can open their stores which will let them gain their source of money and not have that dangerous job.
Or become a teacher for little devils, those can work too though they need a lot of patience and virtue handling all those young masters and mistresses.
There have been cases of the latent of the heir and heiress trying to sue the teachers who punish or innocent minimal damage to their precious children. It becomes worse when it involves a high ranking House that houses overly doting parents that loved their children so much.
They will get fired, that is the worst thing that could happen but those cases are not that frequently happen.
The other way is becoming a servant which is normal for them since every house of the devil family has butlers and maids in their living place.
Mostly the maids are parents of the harem of the lord of the devil family or the heir. That is a normal thing to happen in this society.
Samui had served the house when she is a teenager until she become a grown-up woman that charmed the male devils when she goes out to the town to buy some groceries or stuff for the Phenex house.
Her beauty also affected Riser who always ask her to have a drink with him or go out for a walk with him in the town.
Samui knows her appearance will cause this which is why she tried her best to pry off his attempt but as time passes Riser keeps bothering her, it takes Samui to not bash his face with a metallic tray especially when he grabs her by her waist when they are both alone forcefully.
She did not mind becoming a harem of him since she knows that her life will be easy considering her husband is still the son of the richest family in the Underworld.
It's just she knows how bad Riser is. His behaviour sometimes made the Lord Phenex feel shame for Lady Phenex had asked him to tone it down.
So after one night's return from his time at the nightclub, he slung her over his shoulder and try to have away with her.
But still, Riser just wants her to become a part of his harem by doing this.
But another blue hair friend maid with Ruval Phenex just in time arrived only to see this inappropriate position with the older sibling punching Riser away from her.
Ruval Phenex is different from Riser. He is a gentleman and brings honour to the Phenex House, unlike Riser.
She hugs herself while feeling a bit of relief nothing really bad happen.
Though Riser for the next few days is scolded by his parent to do that toward her. Even Lady Phenex had to ask for forgiveness from her which made her a bit flustered seeing a Lady from a well known House do that toward her, a low-class devil.
After being grounded for 2 weeks Riser can go out though he destroyed many broken dolls seeing him unable to get Samui to become a part of his harem.
And after doing that for the entire day he sleeps and the next thing that happens is our MC resides in his body leaving the prick memories with no single soul of him at all.
"Achoo." Damn someone must be talking bad about me. Fuck, maybe tons of people are insulting me, the bad young master that has a lot of people loathe him. Great. Cheers to my current life. At least being a young master made me live in luxury.
There are a ton of books here in the library. I just hope the maid that clean this library did not look weirdly at me. Is it wrong for a young master like me who has turned over to a new leaf to do this?
Even a normal man knows knowledge is important in life. Even basic ones are useful.
But still to read History about Devils is going to suck. I need to get myself a headphone or earphones when I read these kind of books. Just hope I did not fall asleep while reading them.
