Chapter 5: Chapter 5
It has been a few months since Tsukiyo summoned Serafall. During that time he has been preparing to make sure his plan would go successfully. He would lead the lovers in order for him to be able to control the situation so they won't 'die' until he needs them to. Afterward he would get them to a safe place for them to hide out for a while before they decide what to do.
As he was planning this out he was also enjoying his life with the friends he made. He could say these past months were the most unproductive yet enjoyable time he had since he reincarnated.
He has gotten along with Irina and Issei a lot more than he initially thought. He enjoyed being around them and has started to prepare himself for eventually leaving them. It didn't mean never seeing them again, since he will when he comes back for high school, but he still can't help but feel a little lonely that he won't see them for quite some time.
Aside from that, he continued training with the weapons in his gate and have improved mastery over some of them. However, due to his body still being a child he can't use his full potential when it comes to armed combat so magic is the safest option to use in battle.
Today was another just another day for Tsukiyo except for the fact that the exorcists are finally moving after months of waiting. He has started getting prepared for their escape and getting the bodies he will need to replace them with.
As he was waiting for them to move he decided to call Serafall with the news that he will move tonight and warn her not to teleport in Kouh town. He does not want any unnecessary suspicion drawn to this incident that could claim they are alive.
After that call he decided it was time to go outside and lead the couple's escape. So he put on a black sweater and pants as well as a mask that covers half his face. He activated transformation magic that lets him appear older than he is, as well as put on bracelets that hide his magic and presence completely.
He went outside and started heading to the location of the couple. These past few months he scanned the magic signature of the two in order to be able to track them.
As he was heading to their location he noticed the mana signatures of the other exorcists in the vicinity and decided to hurry up.
As he got there he noticed the couple were injured and running away so he decided to lead them to where they need to go.
As soon as he got in front of them they were freaking out. "Who are you!" Yelled Masaomi as he pointed his sword at Tsukiyo.
"If you want to live follow me" said Tsukiyo as he started moving in front to make sure they follow. Masaomi and Cleria looked at each other before they nodded and decided to go along with him.
As Tsukiyo was running he was getting ready to hide them with an illusion and put up another illusion for the exorcists. When the exorcists got closer he hid them and replaced it with an illusion. He was already hiding the fake bodies with illusions before they even got there so his plan was set.
He told the couple to stop and started to watch the illusions confront the exorcists with the result being them starting to attacked. But before that could happen the illusion couple throw out an explosive that would vaporize them. At that moment Tsukiyo threw out the bomb he had toward the fake dead bodies and exploded. The result was the 'death' of the couple and the exorcists retreating.
After that whole ordeal Tsukiyo brought the couple back to his home carefully in order to not be discovered. When they finally made it to his home the couple took a breath of fresh air and felt relieved that they avoided death however, they are still on guard about this mystery person is.
"Well, that was certainly much more excitement than I need for one night, I'm beat." Tsukiyo stated in a light hearted tone. The couple looked at him and asked "Who are you?"
"Oh right, I forgot to introduce myself" Tsukiyo said while scratching the back of his head, feeling a bit embarrassed he forgot about this.
He then proceeds to undo his transformation and returns to his normal size shocking the couple.
"Hello to both of you my name is Tsukiyo Fuyu, just your everyday mage at your service." he said with a bow, 'I don't know why but recently I am getting a flair for the dramatic.' he said in his mind.
"Wait your just a kid?" said Masaomi with shock still evident on his face. "No wait before that I give you my thanks for saving us from dying." He said bowing his head along with Cleria.
"It's alright I did it because I didn't want to see innocent people die when I could save them. I also didn't want you to die for such a nonsensical reason." He said with a bit bitterness at the end.
"What do you mean? Didn't they want to kill us because it would break the 'status quo' of between the church and the devils?" said Cleria with a questioning look.
"Nope, not at all. I mean that was the reason on the church side but the ones who instigated this were the devils more specifically the old devils that know about you discovering the king piece" Tsukiyo said causally. Cleria immediately understood what happened and put on a sour face while Masaomi was a bit clueless until she explained it.
"So I want you guys put in a safehouse for a few months to a year until all of this dies down. We would not want you guys reappearing so quickly that people suspect your alive after all. After that we can discuss on what we should do." Tsukiyo states to the couple.
"Can we find a way to contact my family. Since I know the way they would act is investigate my death to the final detail. I am also concerned what Diahauser nii-chan would do since I told him about the king piece." Cleria says concerned about the actions her family would take if they find out why they wanted to kill her.
"Don't worry about that. I already made preparations to inform Diahauser and your family about you still being alive. Diahauser will be informed about the king piece and you being alive in order to make plans for the future while, the rest of your family will be informed after your funeral about your survival in order to not arouse suspicion." Tsukiyo said without mentioning Serafall since it would not be a wise move to show her to people he can not control until he is strong enough.
"Thank you very much we are forever in your debit" says cleria while bowing along with Masaomi.
"It's fine, I wanted to do this because I wanted to not because someone asked me to so I will take care of your wellbeing." Tsukiyo said with a firm voice that leaves no room for argument.
"Well it's getting late so lets rest. I'll show you to the guest rooms." Tsukiyo said and dragged them along with him.
