I turned my head lazily towards the alluring forms of Rias Gremory and Akeno Himejima, the redhead sitting on a leather couch and the dark haired seductress standing behind her with arms folded in front of her, the biggest breast I have ever seen being subtly pushed forwards.
This amused giggle did not come from Sona nor Tsubaki, and it caused me to turn my head.
The two of them looked at me with a gleeful grin, and I immediately realised that they were the cause of the laughter.
As Sona had finished clearing her throat, I turned to face her with an eyebrow lifted.
She pointed to the area where Rias and Akeno were sitting, more especially to a chair that was located in front of the couch.
"Please have a seat, Issei-san. We only want to talk to you and be honest with you; we have no intention of hurting you in any way." It was explained by her.
I gave a dismissive shrug of the shoulders, nodded, and then made my way over to Rias and Akeno, where I grinned and pointed in their direction.
"I hope you two had a wonderful evening. How have things been going?" After settling into the chair and making myself comfy, I asked in a careless tone while leaning my bag on the chair's footrest.
As Rias stared at me, her already gorgeous smile became wider, and it was clear that she was enjoying herself immensely.
"Hi to you too, Issei-san. I'm doing okay, and I appreciate you inquiring about that. If I were to ask the same question, however, I already know for a fact that you have been having a fantastic time over the course of the previous week." She remarked while amused, and then she giggled in a seductive manner.
Another stunning quality that she possesses.
I was met with a sassy smile from Akeno, who gazed at me with eyes that were every bit as lustful as Aika's.
Even though she was into really kinky stuff, which normally would have caused me to hesitate, this was Akeno, so small sacrifices would be made in order to tap the girl with the hottest body in DxD.
Well, at least I know I'll be tapping the girl with the hottest body in DxD. "Oh absolutely. Kiriyuu-san has provided a lot of detail regarding the treatment that you have given to her. I wonder… fufufu."
Rias turned her head and stared at her Queen. "Akeno. Calm yourself down." She reprimanded me softly, but I could see, and read it from the window that was formed by Observe, that she was wondering the same thing as Akeno and seeking the same thing.
Alright. Another beautiful young woman for use in our sexual adventures. I'm in.
Akeno gracefully cocked her head to one side. "I sorry, Kaicho." She then turned towards me, presenting a royal appearance that was nevertheless alluring. "Would you like some tea, Issei-san?"
I nodded at her. It is said that she makes the best tea in the world, so I need to try some of her creations for myself to see whether the rumours are true.
"Without a doubt, Akeno-san. That would be wonderful." Akeno nodded and then walked away to make the tea, and she was followed by Tsubaki. Both of them were subtly swaying their hips for, I hoped, my viewing pleasure as I watched them. Tsubaki was interested in me as well, although not to the same degree as Rias and Akeno, and more so than Sona.
After a little period of silence, Akeno finally broke it with a hushed comment. "You've killed before."
I wasn't sure whether or not it counted to kill something that was previously dead but had recently come back to life but was still primarily dead, but I believe that it does.
"I have, yes. And although while I don't feel particularly proud about it, I'm able to get a good night's rest because to the knowledge that the people I've slain lead miserable, pointless lives." They indicated that they understood by nodding their heads, and I smiled at them.
"So… devils, huh?"
Sona nodded. "Yes. Both Rias and I are members of what are known as the 72 Pillars of the Underworld, which are the seventy-two most powerful households in the Underworld. Also, we are the rulers of our own peerages, which is a method for reincarnating humans into devils that is based on chess pieces. The previous Great War was very destructive to our species, but now we have the opportunity to repopulate areas that were lost."
I indicated that I understood by nodding my head even though I was previously aware of that. "I get it. It would make sense to think that you wanted to protect me from the Fallen Angels by having me join one of your peerages, wouldn't it? This would make it less likely for the Fallen Angels to approach me or hurt me, right?"
Rias gave a slight nod of her head. "Despite the fact that we entertained the possibility and intended to present it to you as an alternative, the choice is ultimately yours to make. It will be far simpler for us to defend you in that manner as opposed to, for example, having to dispatch members of our own staff to keep a watchful eye on you around the clock. We are happy to do that for you, but if you were a peerage member, we could teleport right to you in an instant if you were ever in danger."
It was clear that she wanted me to become a member of her peerage, and I intend to do so — The advantages of being a devil are just too tempting to pass up, and given that I was already a dragon-human hybrid, it's unlikely that I'll experience the same vulnerabilities as other devils.
Sona said, "The difficulty is that we do not know if that will be enough to stop the Fallen Angels from doing whatever it was that they wanted to do with you. A scenario like that has the potential to get much worse very rapidly and might be the spark that ignites another conflict; however, that is something that we simply cannot afford to have happen."
I gave a little shrug of the shoulders. "The problem has a simple answer. I will not accept membership in any of your peerages." When I saw the demonstration heading in my direction, I put up my hand to try to stop it.
"I am really grateful for your concern, and I am certain that it is sincere. For this reason, I do not wish to put you in the stressful position of worrying that you could be the cause of the beginning of a new conflict. You did enough by warning me about what was going to happen, and many thanks to Ddraig for letting me know that I am able to defend myself."
