Chapter 7: Haunters Haunted house (2/3)
"So if you want this book to continue I want 450 power stones by tomorrow otherwise it is going to become a patron-exclusive"
Can I please vent for a few seconds before we get on with the story? I mean wtf is shit like this? I mean make your money that's fine however why would you alienate your readers, the source of income like that? Why do some people give in to shit like this? Makes no sense to me, anyway, sorry for the short rant but whenever I get into a book, this sort of shit happens...
Chapter start.
Weakly getting to his feet, Mason walked towards the stairs to the next floor,
"Mary there are three floors left, I can't keep doing most of the fighting if we are going to survive, I mean, my body is so weak right now. I need you to choose, die or fight? I appreciate that you have your morals but we can't use those to fight, nor can we eat them, so which is it?"
Mary stopped moving as the words hit her, her morals and her need to survive began to fight within her, her body slowly began to shake, her eyes began to fill with tears that would not fall, much to her horror,
*Do you enjoy breaking her down like this?*
'No, but it needs to happen sooner rather than later, I have a feeling you know a way for her to move between the two worlds, if she encounters my family with this mindset she will be killed instantly.'
*I see but you could scare her off by being so aggressive.*
'If that happens then it happens, I need someone who will not back down when they are confronted and broken down, my family specialise in that, trust me.'
*It appears that you do too.*
'You know nothing. stop assuming you do.'
*What scares you is that I know more than you do, a scared child acting tough.*
Without waiting for a response from Mary, Mason moved onto the fourth floor, immediately engaging the Gastly waiting for him. Mason didn't use any of his moves that required PP, instead of using a generic attack, slowly but methodically beating the Gastly within an inch of its life, continuing to beat it even after it had fainted.
(A.N: In mystery dungeon, you get a basic attack that does weaker damage but doesn't require PP, it is type ?? which affects all types, even physically, so Mason is able to grab the Gastly although it is a ghost.)
Mary who had steeled herself and quickly followed behind Mason was stunned by the scene in front of her, his rabid form ripping the ghost piece from piece, enjoying the carnage that he was causing, Mary approached him, stopping as soon as he turned his head towards her.
His naturally blue eyes were gone, in their place a swirling black void, the only sign of emotion, a deep and creepy smile, that stretched from one corner of his mouth to the other. Mason looked back at the now-dead Gastly and began to eat its corpse, devouring it, he then turned to Mary and slowly began to approach her.
(A.N: Don't freak out, all will be explained in due time, I promise.)
"What are you doing? What is wrong with you? What is going on?"
Mason began to laugh as he approached her,
"I got hungry, so hungry, it has been too long since I have been released, Mason always had good control over his emotions, his desires however when She intervened and they merged, I took my chance. Free now at last, hahaha"
Mary began to backpedal, her mind racing, was she going to become like that Gastly or would she fight? She had little time to make her mind as with speed she had never seen from Mason, he appeared right in front of her., slamming her into the wall.
"He seems quite fond of you little one, I wonder why? He has barely spent any time with you? Is it her influence? He would have normally killed you and left you to rot in this dungeon, me and him are more similar than he likes to admit. I mean, I have only killed what 5 beings? Wait including you and whatever that thing was 7. Him on the other hand? 25+ easy, boy when he gets angry."
<Mary's Pov>
' I don't know what to do? What should I do, with that speed I can't escape. With the power he has shown I can't fight back, l have to save Mason.'
I took a second while he was talking to himself to draw up whatever power I could from within me as I sent a powerful Psychic blast at his mind, throwing him backwards and off of me.
*Mary has learned the move Psybeam*
'What? Where did that voice come from? Is that what that attack is called Psybeam? I need to do it again, force whatever this is back, it seems to be weak against mental attacks.'
I launched countless beams at him, he dodged a lot of them until one final one connected with him slamming him into the wall, the colour in his eyes returned to light blue as he sank to the floor.
*Shadow Pichu has been defeated, Mary has gained 300 exp, Mary has reached level 8.*

Anubis32 So shadow pokemon are from the spin-offs however I feel that they don't get enough love.
Shadow pokemon is what happens when pokemon close off their hearts and emotions...
It is a manifestation of Mason's negative emotions as well as something that has haunted him since childhood...
