Chapter 2: Part 2 - Search And Rescue
Denki stands still, while still inside of the cage him and the other slaves are trapped in. His quiet tears, stream down his face, as multiple smoke bombs drop to the ground, and cover the body of Makiya. "Just like that.." He thinks silently.
While the other slaves, and the people in the audience screaming and panicking at the roof exploding, and the smoke bombs clouding the arena, Denki stands silently while watching Makiya. He disregards the sky completely, despite his dream of wanting to see the sky with Makiya. "What the hell is going on?!" Anyo screams as he turns around, shoulder to shoulder to see what's happening.
"Woohoo!! Thank you Femu!" A girl with long messy hot pink hair and eyes screams ecstatically, as she flies down from the roof with a hoverboard. She's wearing goggles that allow her to see through the smoke.(Sakura)
Sakura then reaches into her bag, and flings a few bombs towards the cage that the slaves are trapped in. While she swings them, she laughs and smiles. "Operation save the slaves, and save Makiya is going great!" She yells happily.
Denki stares ahead at the bombs that are beeping a red color on the ground. He can't see the bombs through the smoke, but that red light was clear. "Take cover!" Him and the other slaves immediately jump down to the ground, and the cage explodes, creating an opening for the slaves to get out.
The commotion in the arenas is crazy. All of the audience is running to get out in a panic, while Anyo continues to stand around in anger. "Someone get as many of my men down here as you can. Tell the other districts that I need some of their men too! It's obvious that this is a escape! Don't let a single one of my slaves leave this place!!" Anyo growls violently, and moments later, loads of guards with guns and other weapons run through the halls to get to the arena.
Meanwhile, on top of the stadium, five other people stand while looking down at where the explosion came from. "Sakura is always so crazy isn't she?" One of the women on top of the stadium says, while looking down.(Nanami)
"We should help now..we need Makiya. We also need to rescue as many slaves as we can."(Kimaki) A woman says determinedly, before facing a shorter guy next to her, making gadgets. "Femu, keep it coming with those smoke bombs. I have a feeling this is gonna get crazier." Kimaki orders.
The guy making gadgets nods his head at the woman making the orders.(Femu)
"Nanami. When he's done, I need you to get us those bombs. Stay up here with him. Me, Kurai, and Bujo are going down." Kimaki says to Nanami, and she nods her head in response. "Are you ready?" She asks the other two next to her, Kurai, and Bujo.
Bujo, the bigger, and muscular guy gives Kimaki a thumbs up.(Bujo)
"I might find my mother here.."(Kurai) Kurai, an average sized girl with shorter hair says, while staring down at the Smokey stadium with eyes of a hawk.
Kimaki turns to look down at the Smokey stadium. The three put their foot on their own hoverboards and also put their night vision goggles on. "Let's do it." Kimaki yells as the three of them jump down with their hoverboards. They all glide down to the bottom. "Where's Makiya?" Bujo yells while holding onto his ear.
The girl with hot pink hair and eyes glide around the smoke with a dramatic face of worry and irritation. "I...don't...know! I dropped my goggles somewhere and now I can't see anything! Doesn't help that all of them are scattering around everywhere!" Sakura yells before gliding up to Denki who stands in the smoke, staring down.
While Denki is staring down at the body of Makiya, all he thinks about is the memories he's had with her. How she's always been the type to fight, while he was frightened.
Sakura flinches and squints her eyes, while looking at Denki. Denki has a face of horror and sadness, as he stands over the dead body of Makiya. "How did you lose it?! Sakura!" Kimaki questions in anger and disappointment as she glides through the smoke as well and shoots some of the guards that are making their way inside of the stadium.
A smile suddenly appears over the face of Sakura, as she watches Denki with glistening eyes. "I found her. I found Makiya!" Sakura yells excitedly into her earpiece.
Amidst the smoke, Anyo sees a pair of goggles on the sand. The same pair of goggles that Sakura dropped. He smiles evilly, before leaning down to grab them. "I'm not letting a single one of my property escape.." Anyo puts on the goggles, and smiles a wide toothy grin as his vision in the smoke becomes visible.
Bujo flies around on his hoverboard, carrying as many of the slaves as he can, and takes them to the top of the arena where Nanami and Femu are. "I'm taking as many as I can, but they're running around so widely it's almost hard to get a lot!" Bujo yells into the mic while trying to rescue as many of the slaves as he can.
"That's okay, we may not be able to save all of them..just save as many as you can!" Kimaki responds while fighting off the guards.
The words said by Kimaki are true, as some of the slaves are being whipped, and beaten around the arena. Unfortunately, Kimaki and the others cant fight off all of the guards that are there.
What's worst, another large group of guards are coming to the arena as well, from a bridge that's connected to it with large bodies of water underneath. They have high tech weapons and cars, with armor that's not easily penetrated.
Meanwhile Anyo was happily and evilly beating one of the slaves on the ground, while they bled from their mouth and nose. The slave begs for his life, but Anyo doesn't care. "Anyo!" Someone calls from behind Anyo in an angered and stern voice.
This interrupts Anyo, and causes him to stop beating on the slave that was below his feet. "Huh?" Anyo slowly turns around, and looks to see Kurai standing before him. She stares at Anyo with focused eyes, while Anyo stares back at her irritatedly.
"Where's my mother..her name is Yosui. She's a slave here. Tell me where she is, right now!" Kurai demands with a loud tone. Anyo proceeds to stare at her for a bit, before a smile grows on his face once again.
Anyo clicks his teeth, and scans the body of Kurai. "I have a lot of slaves. Lot of moms, some dads. Even some little kids. I can't remember all of them. And even if I did, why would I tell you?" Anyo questions, as he slowly approaches Kurai. Again, the size difference is noticeable.
Kurai doesn't flinch, or move a muscle, as Anyo approaches her with strong and menacing steps. Eventually, the two stand face to face with one another. They stare into each others eyes. Anyo, with a face of taunt and mocking. Kurai, with a face of anger and drive. "Because if you don't..." Kurais black eyes grow darker, with no shade of light visible. "I will kill you." She promises to Anyo.
Meanwhile, Sakura grabs Denki, and puts him on the back of her hoverboard. She smiles, while Denki continues to stare at the ground in shock. His wide eyes, and shrunken pupils are the biggest indicator of how shaken up he is in this moment. "I guess I'm not a total screw up then huh?" Sakura says confidently, before taking off on the hoverboard with Denki on the back.
Sakura takes off, while Denki continues to stare behind backwards. His vision and audio is muffled and distorted, as all his focus is on Makiya. "What..where are we going?" Denki slowly starts to grow more aware of his surroundings. He looks around, and his eyes make their way and lands on the smiling Sakura. "Hey...we need to go back!! Someone is back there!" Denki demands in a loud tone.
A load of other guards begin to swarm inside of the stadium. More than a few dozen. Kimaki struggles to fight them all off, but she manages. "We need to leave now! Sakura, do you have Makiya?!" Kimaki questions. "Yes I do, she's right on the back of my hover board. Her face looks a bit more manly than on those broadcasts though!" Sakura responds as she rides up to the top of the stadium.
Denki holds on tightly to her, while the guards shoot multiple gunshots towards them. "Yahoo!!" Sakura screams, as she twists and turns on the hoverboard. "This is insane!" Sakura calls out.
"Everyone back to the surface! Femu, I need you to Hotwire some of the cars for our escape. Make it quick!" Kimaki orders, as Femu glides down to around the stadium and starts hot wiring some of the cars. Bujo leads some of the slaves to the bottom so they can get ready to enter the cars, while Sakura leads Denki down as well.
"Let's all be aware that Kurai is still down there somewhere. She's not up at the surface yet!" Femu let's it be known in the mic in his ear.
Kimakis eyes widen with shock and worry while she continues to fight. "Seriously? Sakura or Bujo, did you see her?" Kimaki asks. Nanami is busy throwing some of the bombs down there so that Kimaki and Kurai can escape.
None of them knows where Kurai is. Inside of the smoke, she's taking on Anyo. But she's losing badly. She has blood running down from her mouth and nose, and her clothes are covered in sand that she's been getting tossed around in. "What happened?" Anyo asks with a wide smile, as he turns his back on Kurai in a disrespectful manner. "I thought you were gonna kill me!" Anyo taunts while Kurai struggles to clench her fists due to her fatigue.
Kurai stumbles and finds it hard to keep her balance, as she stares at Anyo who's unscathed. Not a single scratch, or spec of dust on him. "I don't care..where is my mother?! I know that you know where she is! Me and her were in this district before I managed to escape!" Kurai falls down to the ground after she finishes yelling and questioning Anyo. Her body and legs gave out, and she finds it hard to stand back on her own two feet.
Anyo smirks with his back still faced towards her. He then slowly turns around, and faces her completely. "Some daughter you are..leaving your mother here." Anyo comments, causing Kurais determined and angry expression to drop. Instead, it's replaced with a face full of regret and sadness.
Anyo then slowly pulls out a gun, and points it at Kurais head. "Look around. This is the last thing you will see." Anyo declares, while Kurai stares face to face with her impending doom.
Suddenly, Kimaki knocks the goggles off of Anyos face. He shoot's the gun, but because he couldn't see, he misses the shot completely. Kimaki then swoops in, grabs Kurai, and starts ascending to the surface. "We have to escape! There's too many down there. We saved some of the slaves, and we got Makiya." Kimaki concludes, while Anyo begins to yell and growl in anger.
Kurai stares down, and clenches her teeth "But my mom! We can't leave her behind!" Kurai yells out, as she looks towards Kimaki.
"We can't get her right now either! It's a suicide mission!" Kimaki argues, before they finally make their way to the surface. They leave the area that's filled with chaos. Guards all around. A lot of the slaves didn't escape at all. After Kimaki escapes with Kurai, some of the slaves are beaten, while some are put back in cages.
The audience that was once here watching the fight, swarms the parking lot, and desperately tries to get inside of their cars to leave.
Kimaki and the others make their way with everyone else in the parking lot, where Femu is hot wiring the cars. "Femu, do you have enough yet?" Kimaki asks, as the car he's working on starts to start up.
"Look guys, I got Makiya!" Sakura yells out, while holding out her hands that are pointed towards Denki.
The other slaves that are there, look confused at eachother, but the fear that they're feeling is much stronger. "You sure that's her? She looks different on broadcast..but whatever." Bujo acknowledges, before everyone starts getting in their cars and driving off.
They drive on a long bridge, that connects to a gigantic city. Under the bridge lays a body of water. The arena that the slaves were in is branched off away from the gigantic city. Despite that, Denki doesn't look. His eyes are practically glued to the back of the seat that he's in with Sakura in the passenger seat, Bujo driving, and a couple other slaves in the back with him. "Uh ohhh here they come" Sakura announces as she looks at the rear view mirror. She acknowledges the fact that there are multiple tanks and guards driving behind them, with guns as well.
Some of the guards peak their heads from the windows, and begin shooting at the cars that the group, Denki, and other slaves are in. "Just as planned, we need to make it to base! I'll keep following behind Kimaki and Nanami." Bujo says as he swerves the car as much as he can to to dodge the bullets.
Sakura suddenly reaches her head from the window, with a wide smile on her face. She grabs a bombs that's attached to her hip, and bites off the pin with her teeth. "Bye bye!" She tosses a bunch of bombs on the bridge behind them, causing it to blow up some of the cars, and apart of the bridge.
The huge explosion sends the car that Denki and the others are inside of rolling in the sky. "Damn it!" Bujo yells as the car they're inside of suddenly slams onto the bridge and breaks the car.
Everything goes black for Denki for awhile. When he wakes up, he sees the faces of three of the other slaves that were in the car with them. Their faces are covered in blood, and their eyes are open and lifeless.
The look in their eyes, causes Denki to freeze in fear. It doesn't help that the car is upside down, with shards of glass all around. "Makiya, get out of the car, it's gonna explode!" Bujo yells from outside of the car, while Denki tries to recover and gain full consciousness back.
On the outside, Denki can hear the sound of loud fighting. He hears the sounds of Sakura specifically, as she seems to be the loudest one. He then slowly begins to crawl out of the car. Mustering up all of the strength that he has in his arms and legs, and grunting loudly as he desperately tries to climb out.
While he's trying, the car starts to catch fire. "Makiya! You can get out anytime now!" Sakura yells out eagerly as she fights off the guards.
Denki finally crawls out of the car window. He had to use all of his strength to do so. When he crawls out, he sees Bujo and Sakura both breathing heavily, with some of the other guards passed out on the bridge. There were atleast 7 of them. "We need to leave before the car explodes..I told Kimaki and the others to go on ahead to the base, because we got it. Guess I wasn't wrong." Bujo says, as he starts walking to the city with Sakura alongside him.
Denki watches them for a bit, before turning to look at the car. While looking at the car, he freezes, and remembers the faces of the other dead slaves that laid beside him. "Do you wanna die?" Sakura questions Denki, catching his attention, and causing him to turn and look back at Sakura and Bujo who watched him.
Denki takes one last look at the car, before walking alongside Sakura and Bujo. "Welcome to Atama city." Bujo welcomes Denki, as the three make their way into the large city.
