Chapter 77: Rights
Jordan with William went to the square where were the forced workers protested, on the way their many citizens could be seen peeking from the windows, they were all curious about what is the demon going to do.
The forced workers were being led by several people that stood at the front and were shouting phrases like "8 hours a day!" "healthcare for injured!" and many more while the rest of the forced workers repeated it. Jordan came before the hundreds of protesting forced workers and listened to them.
After a few minutes, a man that was probably the leader came to Jordan together with several people behind him. The man proudly declared "I am the true representative and we have demanded". While listening to the man speaking Jordan´s mood turned from bad to terrible. Jordan towered over the man and spoke with spite in his words. "so, you don't like the current representative and you changed it without telling me about it?"
Black aura started to emit from Jordan´s body and his eyes glowed with a dark green light. The man audibly gulped and froze for a few seconds before he could think again ´he can´t hurt me, not before everyone watching´. The man spoke "we want changes, and we want them now, we want warm cloth, warm meals, better lodgings, and council created from the people we choose to stand for our rights"
After hearing all that Jordan couldn't help but ease up ´I knew it would end up like that´, this time without creating any tension Jordan said with a smile "is there anything else?"
It took quite a while of time for the man to list all of his demands and all that time Jordan just kept smiling and nodding without really listening to anything that the man said. Finally, when the man stopped Jordan said, "alright wait here, I will go for the current representative and we will work things out together".
The man was satisfied and returned to the group of forced workers and proudly shouted so they could all hear "OUR DEMANDS WERE HEARD" and everyone responded "YEAH" "UUHAA" and more. And the man named Sam overseen them all ´finally things are turning for the better, after I officially become a member of the council I will control all the humans there, it would be only a matter of time before the leader changes´

Jordan went back and told William who was next to him "let´s visit the beasts, they could use some warm food in this cold weather, and who are we to refuse the food to them".
After gathering most of the phase one beasts Jordan returned to the protesting forced workers.
Sam saw Jordan returning and his mood couldn't be better, but his mood did 180° as soon as he noticed the beasts following behind. Sam became as pale as the snow around, quickly he retreated to the now scared forced workers.
Jordan came to them and spoke "so you want meat? Here it is, you want warm cloth? Here kill those beasts and earn it, want a council? Well, then you will have to kill me first." With a bit of his mana poured to his horns Jordan gave a signal to the beasts and send them at the forced workers.
The fight was a mess, the beasts weren´t strong enough to easily kill all the forced workers but the forced worker's situation was even worse, without weapons they could hardly hurt the beasts, not speaking about killing them.
In the mess of a fight, Jordan found those people that were shouting the phrases. Sam was currently trying to run away together with some of the others that were his lackeys. Seeing them Jordan couldn't help but grin, his sharp triangular fangs showed themselves.
All the people around panicked and even chose to rather fight the beasts rather than going against Jordan, slowly passage cleared between Jordan and Sam´s group.
Slowly, Jordan walked towards them while they tried to back away and when they turned around to run away Jordan activated the rune on his back and almost vanished from the place where he was standing.
The next thing everyone noticed was Jordan holding a leg of a man that was hanging upside down, moments later Jordan ripped the men legs away.
Screaming the man fall to the ground and Jordan choose his new target, it was a woman that Sam called Karen. Mutilated corpses and limbs were thrown all around in a circle, no one approached Jordan, even the beasts were scared of angering him.
Jordan was covered in blood and even though it bothered him that he was filthy again he knew that now isn't the time to go wash, there is a need for different cleaning.
After approximately 50% of the protesting forced workers died Jordan poured a bit of mana to his horns and stopped the beasts. "You will face consequences for ignoring the rules I set! Ignoring the representative, believing in some random idiots who promise you better lives without work! You brought that on yourself! There will be changes for you all!"
The humans hardly listened and mostly cried while laying on the ground, currently, they didn't care at all about anything Jordan said. Jordan just grabbed one of the men from the ground and asked him "now tell me, did others all agreed on this?" the man cried and choked before he managed to say "n-n-no s-s-sir".
Jordan couldn't help but shake his head, with a flick of his wrist he twisted the man´s neck and picked another one, to save his time Jordan cast a third circle spell he learned some time ago, the spell had the name "charm" and its effects were quite fascinating, it was low mind control even.
The spell made anyone affected to act as if they were drunk and they were talking to someone close, the spell nullified the sense of danger or any negative feeling making the target mostly talk the truth. Well, the spell couldn't be used to gain perfect information as the targets tend to overestimate things while in a drunken state.
Once again Jordan asked the man and this time the man responded "whyyy do you asskk? But yeesss, wee all agreed, it´s about time!"
Not really evidence that could stand in court but it was enough for Jordan. It was all he needed to hear, he will make sure in some of the lodging of the forced workers but he was quite sure that all the forced workers agreed, after all, it was quite easy to convince them.
Hours later all the lodgings were visited by Jordan and his beasts/monsters, when the forced workers cooperated and snitched on all those that tried to make them rebel Jordan spared them and killed only those that promoted the rebellion but when they did not Jordan chose other solution, it was the ancient decimation used back in the Roman army.
When the forced workers refused to cooperate, Jordan executed 1/10 of them at random.
