Chapter 1: Chapter 1 The Beginning
Hi I'm Jake Edgewing! Let's just get to the point, and go through my life story as quick as possible. 😄
I was born March 28TH 2000 in a small town called Gravity Falls, a rainy little town in the east.
I went to Gravity Falls Elementary in 2006.
Graduated Gravity Falls High in 2018 and now I am 19 almost 20 and I was about to be homeless.
Until I got a call about my parents will just yesterday almost 2 weeks after their deaths.
Edgewing Mansion was left to me in my parents Will, that was left to them in Grandmother Edgewing's Will a few Summer's back.
Edgewing Mansion is a 3 day trip in the middle of nowhere.
My Mother and Father Rose and Elijah Edgewing perished in a mysterious house fire around two weeks ago.

(I pack my things and head on the road)
Edgewing Mansion is Black and has a big red door with a black Lion symbol and gold door knobs.
Everything but the door looks old.
The grass is yellow and dry. The tree is dead and Grey, and the flowers have wilted and shriveled away.
The steps are old and creaky, The railing is wobbly. The paint is chipped and windows are broken.
I walk up to the door and find a key under the mat.
I open the door and head inside with all my stuff still in the truck.
The floor is wooden with an old red carpet laying across it.
Every piece of furniture is covered in sheets including all the mirrors.
(Everything is so quiet except for the rain).
I head for the kitchen and check the light switch for electricity. (Lights flash on).
Next I check the water in the sink. ( Turns handle). The water came out muddy for a few seconds but now it's clear. (Turns off).
Next I head to the living room (lights flash on) I walk in and yank the sheets off.
The sofa is Black and the recliners are grey and silky with pillows to match the set.
Siting in front of a beautiful stone fireplace.
The walls are a deep Blue with a dark red flower design.
sitting above the fireplace is an old painting of Great×⁴ Grandma Edgewing.
She has Long Red hair, Green eyes, a black dress, a pearl necklace and a black cat.
Sitting on the fireplace is a small Dusty box with the name "Jinx" carved in it with a small lock.
I accidentally drop the box and find a hidden key in the ash of the fireplace.
(I pick up the box and dust the key to open it)
inside the box is a letter with a gold seal.
It reads...
(Dear Reader,
This box was sealed with Blood magic. Only a true Edgewing Witch can open this box.
Find nine more Clue's around the area, but first solve this riddle.)
" A clue from the past to be, hidden in the Walls it's clear to see.
Notes of past and mystery.
Find the magic in the tree, break the curse and set me free"
(Objects and notes are scattered for you to find and unleash my dear friend Jinx.
I lost my magic trying to protect him that's why I couldn't do this myself.
He is hidden somewhere in the house, somewhere only you can find.

I put down the letter (Is this a joke?) I thought. (well if it was a joke it wasn't a funny one).
I sit down confused about what I just read.
(Why was this box and key so easy to find?) I said talking to myself
(and who is this Jennifer Edgewing person?
Could she be the first owner of Edgewing Mansion) I said out loud
who was after her, who is Jinx? I thought to myself.
I decided to get my stuff out of the truck and worry about it in the morning.
I head upstairs with my suitcase's and a flashlight to look at the rooms.
The first door was purple with a glass door knob.
I open the door to see a big bed and a Big dresser.
I can't see anything else and I'm so tired.
I set my stuff down and hop into the big soft bed and go to sleep.
