Chapter 51: [49] "The world trembles"

[At the Illuminati base]

From the clouds, a great beam of light descended and left an injured man on a beautiful marble platform.

Ares staggered down the stairs and thought, "Phew... phew... I have to heal as soon as possible."

Suddenly, a female voice startled him. "Who knew the great Ares would be in such a bad state?"

Ares lifted his pale face and saw a beautiful woman wearing glasses. "Tina, I didn't expect to see you here now. When I told you we were meeting, you didn't want to participate," Ares said.

Tina smiled and replied, "I know you guys well enough, I don't need an introduction."

Ares nodded his head.

"I see you're not very well, do you want my help?" asked Tina raising an eyebrow.

Some cuts on Ares' body disappeared as she spoke.

"No, I just need to rest and I'll recover soon," Ares said regaining a bit of his usual color.

Tina pressed one side of her glasses and strange symbols appeared on the glass of her glasses, analyzing Ares' body. "You have your body badly wounded on the inside. You'll have to rest and not train for a while," Tina said amazed at the injuries.

"Yes, I know... Don't worry," Ares said casually as he walked in the direction of the central building.

Tina watched him walk away and hesitated whether to say anything to him, but in the end decided to speak. "Ares..." she called out to him.

Ares slowed down and turned his body to look at Tina.

"I was contacted by Harold," Tina said in a deep voice.

"Harold? What did he want?" asked Ares with interest.

Tina's serious face caught Ares off guard as she spoke, "Harold asked me to tell you that he's going to the Awakened World Academy to sort some things out."

Ares frowned in confusion, "He's going to the Awakened World Academy? Why is he telling me this?"

"He wants you to go with him and Edward," Tina replied.

"Edward is going too? That's interesting... Hahaha, tell him I accept and to contact me with the necessary information," Ares said with a smile.

Tina nodded, "I will."

"See you later, enjoy the technology we have here," Ares said as he turned and walked away.

....

[a few days later]

[At Atlas headquarters]

A young man with long red hair and eyes of the same color was trembling with anger as he held information in his hand.

The woman in front of him, with red hair and red eyes, was looking at him worriedly. "Adam, what action are we going to take next?" she asked cautiously.

Adam glared angrily at Crystal and slammed the table, breaking it in half. "Why didn't you tell me our father was going to fight that maniac?" he exclaimed.

Crystal frowned. "Our father said it was time for us to completely take over his empire and if he died in battle, he had left everything in place so we wouldn't have any problems in the near future," she explained.

Adam was furious and released his dark and terrifying aura, cracking the walls of the building.... "You think it's easy to control everything. You only followed our father and never interacted with the company or fought against other awakened. You just stood behind him," she reproached him.

Crystal displayed her imposing aura, suppressing Adam's. "My father trained me since I was a child to be able to help you control everything, since he knew you couldn't do it alone. You know what our father was like, do you think I want to go unnoticed and not be of any use to the family?" she replied firmly.

Adam was amazed to see his sister's immense aura and decided to keep his own. "I guess our father trained you to be a trump card, but...", he muttered.

Tina, who had been quietly watching the discussion, spoke up. "I know how you feel, but we have to be united to face the danger that will come in the future. Our power will not be able to stop those scavengers," she said calmly.

Adam changed his attitude and said reluctantly. "We'll have to talk to our mother and see what action to take."

Crystal frowned. "Our mother, since she suffered that injury, hasn't shown up. Let's hope she's recovered," she said worriedly.

The two brothers crossed glances and nodded in approval of what was spoken. The atmosphere was filled with a deep silence as they prepared for what was to come in the future.

....

[World Academy of Awakened]

In a beautiful office, a man with long hair and an unpleasant expression sits on an antique white seat, while a fat man with golden hair and black highlights listens attentively to him.

Garrith Luterain stares in awe at the man in front of him.

"You may go" Garrith said in a flat voice.

The man without responding quickly leaves the place, leaving Garrith and the vice principal alone.

"I can't believe I beat Craig Reynolds! He was in the top 14 with a very good reputation," exclaims the vice principal, whose name is Fjord.

"I can't believe it either. This news is very important, and with this event, his fame will probably reach another level," replies Garrith.

"Mmm... Is he comparable to Kayden?" asks Fjord.

Garrith takes a moment to think and finally replies, "No, Kayden has been challenging the world ranked awakenings for a long time."

"He's challenged the top 10, and no one has accepted," adds Fjord.

"That's obvious. Not everyone has time to fight around without affecting their organizations or other people," Garrith says.

"Well, let's talk about Ares. This is very problematic," says Fjord, concerned.

"It's not as problematic as you think," Garrith replies.

Fjord looks at Garrith in surprise and asks. "Why not, he is a very important alarm clock for your country and organization. With him no longer alive, other people will come along who want to take his place."

"That's true, but he was no longer in charge of his family. He was just a shield, and from what I heard, his heir is very talented and could reach his father's level if he works hard and has the time," Garrith explains.

"Even if he has talent, he won't have the time to exploit it and be able to reach that level," Fjord retorts, not understanding the point of Garrith's words.

Garrith looks at the vice principal with deep-set eyes that make him shudder. "From the looks of it, you haven't been doing your job well lately, vice principal. Don't you know the trouble Craig caused before he fought with Ares?"

Fjord looked tensely at Garrith and, after a moment's silence, said. "I've been busy these past few months, but I'm free now. If you could update me on what happened, I won't let you down again."

Garrith looked away from Fjord and pulled some documents out of a drawer in his desk.

He got up from his seat and walked over to Fjord, handing him a set of papers.

"Read them and then tell me if you missed anything in these months," Garrith said in a serious voice, returning to his seat.

The deputy director carefully read the headlines on each sheet, and as he read further, his face began to show shock and horror.

"This Craig Reynolds made sure to exterminate all his enemies so that his family would have no problems in the future."

"He had it all planned out if he didn't come back alive from the confrontation."

Fjord looked gravely at the last page. "And from the research, he supposedly trained his daughter in secret, and her talent is much greater than the current heir."

Fjord, with a serious expression on his face, put aside the papers and looked at Garrith gravely. "Director, shouldn't we send some people to check on them, how dare they hide their power?"

"And I apologize for not being vigilant," he added.

Garrith crossed his leg and clasped his hands together. "There is nothing we can do. They're part of this academy too, and we could use their hidden power to make them work in the future... if she doesn't come back."

"If she doesn't come back, who?" said the vice principal hesitantly.

"His wife, Ashley Reynolds," Garrith replied calmly.

"Ashley Reynolds... how could I forget about her?" Fjord said seriously.

"That crazy woman," Fjord added before falling silent and looking at Garrith.

"Yes, she was crazy, but she belonged to the Jensen family and sacrificed her family name to help her family gain a powerful ally and was once ranked top 1 in the world awakening academy rankings," Garrith said.

"Wasn't she the next heir to the Jenson family? It's a shame she chose a different path for her life," the vice principal said.

"Yes, she was the one with the most talent in her family, but her crazy attitude of killing people kept her from competing for the throne," Garrith said calmly.

"I don't know how that guy fell in love with that crazy woman," Fjord shuddered.

"No one knows, but they helped both families with that marriage, further cementing their positions," Garrith said.

....

[In South Korea]

[In shinhwa Association]

Jiyoung turned to Inhyuk and asked, "Is this information true?"

"Yes, Madam President. This information has caused a lot of commotion around the world. No one expected this outcome," Inhyuk replied, his voice serious and his hands clasped behind his back.

"No one would have thought that Ares could emerge victorious in a battle against Craig Reynolds, an awakened person ranked 14th in the world," Jiyoung commented.

"Ares was rumored to possess powers comparable to the top 10, but no one believed it to be true, considering his young age," Inhyuk added.

"However, with this incident, Ares' fame has reached a whole new level. Some even suggest that he could emerge victorious in a fight against the top 10."

With these words, the two fell into a contemplative silence, pondering the implications of this shocking news.

Jiyoung commented. "No one could have predicted who would win with such a rapid growth rate."

"That's true. Talent of that level would make any organization or country fight desperately to recruit him," Inhyuk responded.

Jiyoung asked. "How are our relationships with the other organizations?"

As soon as Inhyuk heard the name of the other organizations, his expression changed.

Jiyoung noticed Inhyuk's unpleasant expression and said. "It seems that the relationship was not good."

Inhyuk, looking bitter, replied. "You are wrong, Madam President. The discussion went very well, but we agreed to send the heirs of our organizations to the academy in a few weeks, and everyone will go except Jisuk."

Jiyoung raised an eyebrow at what he heard and asked. "Still not willing to go?".

"Yes, Madam President," Inhyuk replied.

"Well, let him do what he wants," Jiyoung said indifferently.

"But Madam Chairwoman, he should participate in these meetings. Otherwise, we will continue to be marginalized. Although we have gained more prestige in recent years, if it continues like this..." Inhyuk spoke discontentedly.

"That's true. But it will happen anyway. Since we are the number one organization in the country, the other organizations will use some tricks to reduce our power and prevent us from continuing to grow at the current rate," Jiyoung commented.

Inhyuk was surprised and apologized saying. "Madam President, if that is true, I had not considered it. I apologize."

Jiyoung smiles, showing a cheerful expression. "Don't worry..." she says calmly before a young man in a suit enters the office, which makes Jiyoung and Inhyuk change their expression to seriousness.

The man approaches them with an envelope containing an important letter. "Sorry president, but we got that letter and it's very important."

Jiyoung analyzes the envelope with a triangle logo and a human eye in the center and asks the man who sent it, but he doesn't know.

Inhyuk notices that there is something else in the envelope, and the man says he just left a name that disappeared after touching the letter and said, "Ares Seo."

Hearing that name, Jiyoung and Inhyuk are shocked.

Jiyoung asks the man to step back and opens the envelope to read the letter.

Inhyuk asks what the letter says, and Jiyoung earnestly replies that in a few months, the person who wrote the letter will be in Korea and wants to have a talk with her.

Inhyuk is disturbed to hear this and suggests that they inform other organizations and make a plan, but Jiyoung thinks they should wait to see if other organizations also received the letter. If the letter is only for her, it means that the meeting should be private, and alerting other organizations could put them in danger.

Inhyuk is worried about Jiyoung's safety since Ares is an awakened who defeated the top 14, but Jiyoung is determined to continue training and getting stronger.

Inhyuk worries about the amount of training Jiyoung is going through, but she assures him that she is fine and asks him to help her with the papers.

Inhyuk is still worried, but Jiyoung assures him that all the leaders of other organizations also feel the huge responsibility and are doing their best to increase their strength.

Jiyoung smiles optimistically, and Inhyuk promises to train with dedication.
