Chapter 54: [51] "World Awakened Academy Part 2"

[Where the meeting is being held]

The impressive office boasted elegant decor, with soft carpets and fine wood furniture. A circular table, made of dark oak, dominated the center of the room. Around it, seven imposing and elegant figures sat with their hands folded on the table, all with serious and concentrated expressions on their faces.

Those present were some of the most prominent representatives of the most powerful families in the world, whose status is one of the highest in the world of the depertados....

The names of the representatives and their respective families were:

[Jonathan Grane, representing the Grane Family]

[Suzanne Jensen, representing the Jensen Family].

Mason Bryan, representing the Bryan Family]

[Cole Baker, on behalf of the Baker Family]

Mark, representing the Omega Organization] [Mark, representing the Omega Organization].

In addition, the principal and vice principal of the World Awakened Academy, seated at the head of the table, rounded out the group of people discussing important matters related to the future of the academy.

"I would like to hear your thoughts on the proposal," Garrith asked cross-legged as he looked carefully at each of those present.

"I think it's an excellent opportunity for students to gain experience," replied Jonathan Grane confidently.

"I agree, plus it's a good way to keep a lid on the next generation of awakenings from different countries," Suzanne Jenson added with a sly smile.

"More than keeping them at bay, we need to make sure our students evolve quickly and are prepared for their future," interjected Mason Bryan in a gravelly voice.

At that point, Cole Baker took the floor. "I offer my son to go to other academies to fight."

Everyone present raised an eyebrow, surprised by the unexpected offer.

Garrith stared at Baker and asked. "Really?"

"Yes, my son Shawn recently entered the top ten ranking of this academy. I think facing other awakenings in different countries will be an excellent opportunity for him to evolve," Baker replied with a smile on his face.

Garrith showed no emotion on his face, though he thought to himself. 'I recently heard he won by an overdraft. If I send him to another academy and he dies, it will be a disgrace to our institution. I'll have to be careful where I send him.'

Suzanne Jenson, for her part, thought with dissatisfaction. 'This guy thinks he can get his son into any academy just because he's an outstanding student at ours.'

Jonathan Grane thought with contempt. 'I'll have to deal with this annoying guy.'

Then, Garrith spoke up, he said. 'Okay, now I want to talk to you about something important...'.

At that moment, a loud rumble shook the school, startling everyone present, the seven figures frowned at each other, worried.

The vice principal rises from his seat and carefully scrutinizes the place. "What happened, did some teacher or student get into a fight in a place where they can't?" he asks with concern.

"I'm going to investigate, wait for me here," Garrith declares, visibly unhappy with the situation.

Fjord and Garrith Luterain quickly leave the room.

"What must have happened?" asks Jonathan Grane with interest.

"Some teachers have fallen out," replies Mark.

"Don't talk nonsense, if one teacher gets into a fight with another, he or she will suffer a big penalty," interjects Suzanne Jenson in a serious tone.

An awkward silence takes over the room.

"I don't think they attacked the academy, did they?" asks Mason Bryan, expressing his concern.

Suddenly, an impressive aura fills the room, causing everyone to rise from their seats and look in one direction with great concern.

"Is it possible that someone is attacking the academy?" asks Mason Bryan incredulously.

"We have to help," declares Jonathan Grane nervously.

Those present are about to rush out when suddenly they hear a sound and a sphere falls just below them, releasing a green gas.

....

[POV Edward]

"You have to stay hidden, Edward, until we make the fuss to find that person," one Ares told me.

"Yeah, I know," I reply before disappearing from the place.

I start walking through the school in search of the place where the meeting of the family representatives is taking place.

On the way, he saw a guard patrolling and took the opportunity to neutralize him. With my poison-wrapped finger, he formed long, sharp nails that he dug into the guard's neck.

With my other hand, I plugged his mouth, piercing the lethal poison into his body. The guard tries to free himself, but loses consciousness and passes out.

'One down. I'm going to have fun playing with him,' I think before disappearing from the place and continue looking for guards or teachers.

In a few minutes, he neutralized dozens of them and also managed to find the building where the meeting is taking place.

While going around the academy, he detected several intense auras in the same spot.

"JEJEJEJEJEJE... I found them. Wait, I'll kill you later," the crack of a broken neck is heard.

"Well, let's leave these wimps," Edward says before dropping the body and disappearing from the spot.

Stealthily, I hide in a room and see several people talking.

The next moment, I feel a loud rumbling that startles everyone and see the principal and vice principal rush out, leaving only the family representatives in the room.

As soon as he saw them leave, he quickly threw four devices outside the room and waited for the right moment to strike, controlling my heartbeat and breathing.

A few moments later, a terrifying and imposing aura causes everyone in the room to quickly rise from their seats.

It's the moment I've been waiting for.

From my pockets he pulled out four round spheres with a gray button in the center, which he pressed so that they begin to pulse from green to gray faster and faster.

He quickly threw the grenades that fall just below four awakened, located at a specific point where the gas expands to cover the entire room.

I see how they don't react and the gas starts to come out.

I generate thousands of needles with deadly poison that I throw towards them, leaving an opening where Cole Baker is.

The family representatives generate a shield around his body, but in a millisecond, Cole Baker sees the opening and sells out of the room in a hurry, leaving the representatives of the other family in it.

'HEY HEY HEY, that's it,' I quickly press a button in my pocket.

On his way out, Cole Baker watches as a light blue barrier covers the entire room, leaving the others locked inside the building.

I watch as Cole Baker is stunned at the sight of the barrier, and suddenly a shiver regains his body as a person appears in front of him.

"Cole, you remember me, don't you? I'm Edward Whitehead," says the person in front of Cole with a sneer and a sneering voice. "You won't be able to escape from here or call for help as usual."

I look at him with contempt and say. "You're in the World Academy, you should know what you're doing."

"Don't worry about it," he replies angrily.

Suddenly, we hear several bodies hit the ground on the other side of the barrier.

Cole turns around and looks through the barrier as there are unconscious bodies in the green gas.

"How can that be, are they dead?" thinks Cole nervously.

As Cole turns to look at me again, he launches a powerful energy attack that catches him off guard.

Cole raises his arms to cover himself with an energy shield, but misses it and takes the full impact on his arms.

"Shit... coward," Cole screams with his arms hurt.

"Coward? You've been chasing me for a long time, sending several awakened so that when I'm hurt I'd show up," I reply with dissatisfaction.

Suddenly, Cole feels a prick in both legs and sees a needle stuck in the back of his legs. Cole looks startled.

"For someone so high in the world rankings, you're pretty unfocused," I say appearing in front of him in the blink of an eye.

I launch a powerful attack that connects on his face and body, sending him crashing into several constructs that are destroyed.

I appear in front of Cole on the ground and see his face full of fear.

'I can't feel my legs,' Cole thinks shaking and looking at the person in front of him.

I laugh and say. 'You don't feel your legs, do you? The poison I gave you is a strong paralytic. I'll be sure to enjoy myself while I kill you."

I smile madly as I prepare to strike again.

....

[At the same time in another part of the world]

With an intense and resolute gaze, Kayden, his eyes full of determination and eagerness for combat, fixes his attention on the three awakened individuals standing before him.

Despite the unmistakable homicidal glare emanating from the gaze of the three individuals, Kayden displays a smile brimming with joy and enthusiasm.

"I finally found them!" he exclaims with glee.

"Have they decided to stop hiding?" he adds in a mocking tone, as he approaches them with impenetrable confidence.
