Chapter 112: MILLION THOUGHTS
She swallows her spit and clears her throat. "Your brother reached out to me today." She whispers.
"What did her say?" Abdullah asks.
"He-" Ella stops for a while and Continues. "Found Vivian."
"Really?"
"Yes." She nods.
"Where is she at the moment?" He asks again.
"Somalia." Ella whispers and opens the oven to check the chicken she kept in there a while ago, after wards she moves to the cooking gas and opens the big two pots to check what she is cooking.
Following her everywhere she goes, Abdullah asks. "How did he find her? I thought he said there is no available data of her anywhere even in Nigeria."
"He said she filed in as a mom of two kids in a school." Ella answers adding some extra seasoning to her stew after tasting it.
"She has kids already?" Abdullah asks again and again.
"Apparently!" She replies bluntly.
"But how come her data wasn't available anywhere for good ten years?" Abdullah asks again. "Don't you sense something strange about this?"
Now this is becoming something very serious. Ale mentioned this earlier on, saying not being able to find the data if Vivian anywhere for good ten years seems to be out of ordinary. Ella immediately stops stirring the stew. "Strange? How?" She asks.
"How is it possible, that someone's information disappeared from all available systems for good ten years, and later the person is found through the computer system of her children's school?"
"So what are you trying to say?" Ella asks.
Abdullah exhales deeply and replies. "Someone did that purposely, someone purposely removed all the information and data of Vivian Roberts."
It sounds meaningless and meaningful to Ella. Meaningless in the sense that who could have done that? Vivian isn't a computer literate or a system hacker, so how could she have done that? Meaningful in the sense that, Vivian actually went missing for ten years without any possible information of her even traveling, purchasing or selling off an item, not even any information on her school.
"So, who could have actually done that?" Ella asks as she continuing stirring the stew.
"I don't know." Abdullah replies shrugging his shoulders again.
Deep down in Ella's mind, she knows clearly that if one person is helping Vivian do these things just as Abdullah had predicted, then it would be Andrew. That was the only person Ella had ever known with her. But who is Andrew to be capable of doing these things? Hacking into systems and removing someone's informations? Is he a cyber hacker? She asks herself not mentioning a word to Abdullah.
In a matter of minutes, the food is ready. Miss Smith serves the food in a plate for everyone including Kim and Kylie. But they preferred to eat their meal upstairs, in their room.
"Why do you want to eat upstairs?" Shamim asks them.
"Nothing." Kylie shakes her head with a lots of beautiful smile that can be killed for.
"Alright, just be very careful." Shamim says after falling for his little sister's beautiful smile.
The young girls takes their plate of food upstairs and the adults sits round the dining table to enjoy their meal.
"The aroma is making me salivate already." Asma says sweetly perceiving the aroma of the food again.
"The meal looks so beautiful." Darifa whispers and takes a spoon of it. "It tastes wonderful too."
"Ella!" Shamim calls after tasting a bit of the food. "You are the best cook ever."
"I can't believe you all are here enjoying the meal now, but none of you helped me out in the kitchen to prepare it." Ella nags.
"Ella please!" Darifa whispers trying to plead Ella not to bring up that conversation on the table.
"Whatever." Ella says and starts eating.
The five of them looks happy and worried free, they seem to be enjoying their meal happily but deep inside their hearts, a lot is going on.
Shamim, is thinking of Ella alone. Who is she exactly? Why is she hiding her identity and pretending to be his sister? Why did his father lie to him about Ella from the very first day? Even after ten years, why hasn't Ella tried to open up to him and tell him who she really is? And what about the Diamond necklace he saw in her wardrobe? Why doesn't she ever use it or talk about it?
Darifa, is thinking of her love life and questioning herself why she is different. Why can't she just have a boyfriend and be in love the way every other lady does? Why can she only get sexually attracted to girls? On the other hand, why are things being so difficult with her girlfriend Princess?
Asma, is thinking of how to tell her friends that she and her boyfriend had actually break up. She lied about it earlier because she feels to embarrassed to tell them that her boyfriend is cheating on her with her colleague at work.
Abdullah, is thinking of how to shoot his shot with Ella when she goes to his place with him later in the day. He hopes that he doesn't get rejected. Even if he gets rejected, he doesn't pray that their relationship as friends gets affected.
Ella has a million and one things in her mind, but two of them are the main priority at the moment. One, is what really happened to Vivian in the past ten years? Two, is how is she going to tell her friends and brother who she really is?
After the meal, Asma and Darifa do the dishes since they didn't assist Ella in preparing the meal.
Ella goes upstairs to freshen up and prepare to take off with Abdullah to his house, then her brother walks in.
"What are you doing?" Shamim asks.
"Preparing to go out with Abdullah." Ella replies contemplating on what dress to put on, with her wardrobe wide open.
"Alright, when you get back we need to talk about something." Shamim says and immediately walks out of the room.
