Chapter 38: 38] Revenge
Daren, along with Elli and Lily, was rushing through the town. A Few dozen minutes later they were few kilometers away from the town. At this point of time, Daren stopped suddenly. He then turned towards the mother and daughter duo.
"Elli take your mother with you and travel east of here, do not stop midway. And protect your mother on the way. I'll follow you guys shortly after I deal with few insects.
Lily it may be hard for you to travel this long, but please hold on a little bit longer.
Now quickly, leave.!"
Daren told the duo and asked them to leave.
" Lord Daren, I can still walk. Thank you for your concerns. " Lily said nicely. One can see she was pale and was panting.
For a normal non cultivator, few kilometers is still hard to travel. Daren was quite surprised that she could hold up till now.
"what about..."
"No time to explain. Leave quickly.!!"
Elli was about to ask Daren more, but Daren turned around and asked them to hurry.
Daren carried 2 swords with him. While practicing with Arius, he had become familiar with dual wielding and he quite liked this style as well. He had 2 swords, one on each side of his waist. He draw them both out.
Seeing Daren draw his swords, Elli felt something was wrong. Then she saw some figures rushing towards them. She knew who they were. They were the city lords men, led by his pampered son.
'It's them.!! They followed us here. Now that they know that Lord Arius had left... Those vermins.!! Since he is willing to risk his life to buy us some time, I shall leave. Who knows how long can he hold them back.'
Elli was greatful for Daren and Arius for saving them. But she still wasn't willing to risk her and her mother's life for them. Seeing him risking his life for them, she decided to leave quickly. She carried her mother in a 'princess carry' and ran.
" Elli!! What are you doing! You should help him." Lily too saw those men. Unlike Elli, she was really thankful for all the help Daren and Arius has provided them with.
"Mom, I can't fight them. If we stay back we will die. We shall run while he try to buy us some time." Elli told her mother her plan.
"Bu..but what if Sir Arius find out that we left him alone." Lily asked with a terrified expression.
Elli shivered at the mention of the big guy. But she regained her cool moments later and said "If he asks us, we will tell him that dar--Lord Daren asked us to leave first and we complied his request." Elli said nervously.

"Took you long enough" Daren said as he glanced at them from the cover of his hood.
City lord's son Ron seeder, Along with his 2 bodyguards, and 50 local soldiers, arrived before Daren.
"Without the big guy protecting you, what will you do now.? The loss of face I suffered, I'll pay you back a million times.!!" Ron shouted.
'He saw Lily and Elli leaving but didn't follow them. Maybe he valued his pride more than a girl. Guess he isn't completely hopeless after all.' Daren thought. But..
" After I capture you, I'll capture those 2 sluts and let my men have them. And I'll let you watch as my men f*ck them both in front of you.!!" Ron shouted with a crazy expression on his face.
' ...Or maybe not. Damn, I judged him too fast.' Daren thought and sighed.
"Stop talking nonsense.! I don't have time. Come. Come at me together.!!" Daren announced arrogantly.
He really didn't have time to waste on them. And also, he didn't consider them as a threat and thus one can say he was being arrogant.
"I'll show you punk. Get him.!!" Ron shouted.
All 50 men moved on him. They quickly surrounded Daren. Or to be precise, Daren allowed them to surrounded him. 10 men were on each side blocking his escape. And the remaining 10 moved to attack him.
Daren smirked. He then charged towards them. He was faster then those men, he arrived in front of one of the 10 men quickly and with a cross slash to the neck (like a scissor), with both swords, beheaded him.
Before everyone can register what happened, Daren's sword was inches away from piercing another man's heart.
"Charge at him together." One of the bodyguard ,who was with Ron, shouted from behind. But by the time he gave the command, another man was impaled by Daren's sword.
"2" Daren counted calmly.
Three swords were aiming at Daren from his backside. Daren did a 360° rotation and parried all three attacks with one of his sword. And then with a swift motion of his right wrist, he swung his other sword and slit the throat of all three men in a single strike.

He then stepped hard on the ground and rushed towards the duo that was at back of the group with great speed. He dodged the incoming attacks and appeared behind the duo. Before they could turn around, both his swords have pierced both of their hearts from the back.

By the time he was done, remaining three of the initial 10 men have reached him, and were about to attack. Seeing only 3 remain of the original 10, city lord's men surrounding him were hesitating.
But another shout from one of the bodyguard of city lord's son, forced 20 men to dash forward. By this time Daren has successfully killed all 10 men.
His 'sword mastery' has reached a high level and thus he could bypass the defences of these men easily. And his mastery of 'One for all' has also reached the same level and the mastery of sword, thus allowing his nimble body to evade and counter attack quickly. He was using every part of his body efficiently.

He was killing them without much sweat and with great speed.
And now 4 men were attacking him from four direction. One man was using a Warhammer. Daren quickly evaded his attack, then stepped on his hammer mid air and jumped up. He then used his body momentum to flip mid air and turn upside down. When he was in that position, he extended his hands outwards and rotated his hands fiercely in a circular motion, causing his body to spin mid air. The blades in his hand rotated with him, slashing the throats of all 4 of them.

Seeing the situation become dire, one of the 2 men guarding Ron rushed to join the fight.
As his feet landed back on the ground, his hood that was supposed to cover his face slid down, revealing his handsome face.
As soon as his feet landed, Daren rushed in the direction of the incoming bodyguard.
"F*ck!!! Ho-how?? How.. is.. it..him!!?" Ron stuttered and shouted. By the time Ron finished shouting, Daren has killed 2 more men despite seeing the bodyguard lunging at him with his sword aimed at his heart.
Ron's word caught everyone by surprise. They looked back towards him, then followed the direction in which his fingers was pointing. There they saw Daren standing as one man rushed towards Daren's back and one of the bodyguard aiming his sword at Daren's heart. They were all relieved looking at the scene. They all have branded him dead.
None noticed what Ron had noticed. All they could think of is that the monster is gonna die. Those two attacks from the front and back were too fast and too close for Daren to dodge.
