Chapter 5: Playing with Magic
Over a year later
In the courtyard of the Casita, two men, one tall and thin wearing dress clothes, and the other a short yet very broad and muscular man with dark skin wearing a yellow shirt can be seen playing with two toddlers.
One of the toddlers, the girl named Luisa, was being held by the tall man, Agustin, as they slid down a tall slide of ice into a pile of cool snow laughing, while the short man, Felix, was clapping and cheering on the boy, Andres, as he created a life sized copy of Felix and doing a dance routine (Kenichi Ebina's audition on America's Got Talent).
All the while, a cat made of ice and snow was playing with Casita, trying to catch the red colored tile as Casita tried to keep it away, with Casita making sounds with its roof tiles everyone has come to note as Casita singing and laughing.
Andres POV
I watched as Ice Felix completed his dance number before bowing theatrically and then breaking apart into ice particles in a flashy way before disappearing completely, much to the joy and amusement of Felix.
"Bravo! Bravo!! That was amazing Lil Dre! I don't know where you learned those moves but I know what I'm going to perform at Isa's Gift Ceremony next week hahaha! Now, just need to remember where I stored my cloak…"
Lil Dre, that is the nickname Bruno gave me in a moment of grogginess one day, and Felix hasn't stopped calling me that since… makes me feel like a wannabe rapper and I'm not sure how I feel about that.
I only shook my head before looking at Luisa and Agustin making a snowman in the pile of snow I placed in front of the slide and I was suddenly hit with a flash of inspiration. It's one of the side effects of my Savant Perk, it comes with an endless stream of inspiration but it can get pretty distracting.
Sometimes, it just won't leave me alone until I make what came to my mind. Kind of reminds me of the Tinker Fugues from the Worm series but not as bad.
Anyways, I got side tracked again, curse this toddler body and it's lack of impulse control or ability to stay focused!
With a pout of frustration, I waved my hand and started creating a miniature version of Elsa's ice castle, mountain and Arendelle with its frozen lake included.
This captured everybody's attention, even that of a thin scraggly looking man wearing a green ruana and a tall red haired woman in a yellow sundress who just entered Casita.
'Hm.. instead of creating Elsa and have her sing her iconic son, let's use Pepa since she just walked in. Yeah, she won't mind, her ability to consciously control the weather has been improving tremendously since she tried to replicate what I can do with her own Magic.'
With that thought, I nodded my head and started creating musical instruments from ice that started playing the iconic song from Frozen, Let It Go, and then had her start singing. This was a trick I recently discovered how to do, letting my creations create sound.
As the song continued, Pepa watched on in amazement at her mini me and the things I was having it do, like creating mythical beasts of legends, which played with Luisa here and there much to her delight, and 'controlling the weather' with her powers, even flying using the wind and an ice surfboard.
Finally, after a few minutes of just going ham crazy with the miniature creations, the song and performance ended with a mini Pepa and mini Felix walking back inside their ice castle arm in arm, laughing and barely supporting each other to keep themselves from falling over from laughter.
This quickly prompted my audience to loudly cheer and clap as well, especially Pepa who quickly picked me up, spun me around a bit, and then started peppering my face with kisses, much to my embarrassment… I am absolutely sure they realize I find this embarrassing but do it anyways for their amusement. I can't prove it, but I am most certainly sure of it.
"That was simply amazing Little Snow, where do you even come up with these ideas?"
Little Snow, what am I, Jon from Game of Thrones? … God I hope not. Anyways I shrug in response to her question, before waving my hand to clean up he mess I made, before creating some ice servants to clean the Casita which Agustin and Felix forgot to do, thanks getting distracted with my Magic. Don't want them to get in trouble for something I did after all.
Felix and Agustin seemed to have realized the same thing because they quickly panicked and rushed off to start cleaning areas my ice servants weren't working on.
Bruno and Pepa just laughed as they brought Luisa and I into the kitchen to give us a light snack.
As I nibbled on my arepa con queso, I had a sudden thought…
"I made mini Tia Pepa fly using cold wing with a little snow in it. Could I do the same for myself?"
This question made Bruno and Pepa completely stop mid conversation and stare wide eyed at me as they realized what the implications of that question could lead to.
… A impish smile slowly started growing very wide on my face and my eyes lit up in delight, while both adults faces quickly became pale and they started stumbling over themselves to immediately try and convince me not to try.
