Chapter 43: Messages

I wake up the next morning in the safety of my own room in my hometown. I look over to my phone and I see that I have a message. I know from who this message is but I do not want to look at it.

But I know that I better look at it. Just as I suspected, it is from Jen.

"Dr. Stone I understand that you are on vacation but this doctor is driving us insane. Please, come back"

I know that I can not spend hiding out here in my dad's house. I am going to have to face the music some time or another time. I must say after I spend the night or just a little bit of the night with Luke it gave me a newfound energy to go back home.

I guess I can call that energy, Luke. I guess I have to make peace with the fact that bad things can happen to me. But if I walk around in life afraid of everything around me, I might never be able to live.
